- Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior allowed director George Miller to take the concepts and character from the 1979 original and really put the boot in. That meant a bigger myth, bigger stunts, bigger men, more butts cut out of leather trousers. And the result was a lot of the iconic imagery we know of the character even today. Forty years on it still holds up and it's influence has been felt across multipe other media propeties. MAD MAX. Mad Max. Thanks for watching our Caravan Of Garbage review

These guys have banter figured out down to a science.
Mad Max 2 Road 2 Warrior
I think the most compelling clue that Dog Boy grows up to be Max is that Road Warrior & Fury Road are the only two with a narrator. And in Road Warrior this narrator eventually identifies himself as the grown up post-verbal Dog Boy. This connection seems more likely to be a later addition to Fury Road since the earliest versions of that script were planned out visually in the late 90’s. Including the back tattoo Max received which is probably the most commonly cited example of evidence for this theory… ooooor Max is more of a vague mythical figure and there was only ever very loose continuity stitched together after the fact. “Canon” inasmuch as George Miller could be bothered to develop it has been either intentionally vague, entirely retroactive or a combination of both. Like, Max should be closer in age to Immortan Joe and the biker gang of old lady snipers… not Furiosa.
Ultimately it’s the potentiality that makes this theory especially fun and compelling to me. I know James seems to feel tie-in comics have laid this matter to rest definitively. But tie-in comics are basically like when JK Rawling gives an interview and says “oh yeah, by the way I know I could’ve made it clear from the text, but uhhh Dumbledore is gay.” Only in this case with the pretty clear and obvious intention of nipping wild fan speculation in the bud rather than fueling it. Which if you’ll recall was really getting outta hand at the time… comic book nerds were NOT having fun for some alienating reason around this time. I wanna say it was because Rebel Moon part 2 so thoroughly shattered everyone’s expectations… but that can’t be right, those movies just came out to completely expected and near universal appraise, just like every entry in the franchise it was based on 🤔
Please tell me you didn't use the American dub of this, I got the special collection that gives an option to keep the Aussie voices for the original Mad Max movies.
Mad max 2 the road wrenches hanging on his belt.
I thought the marauder leader was really the chief cop from the station? He had the same tatoo

What happened to the dog?
You don’t wanna know 😢
Um…
He went to live on a farm with lots of fields to run and play
Since the movie came out more than 40 years ago, guess it doesn't matter anyway. The statuette of limitations on dog crimes is well passed
