this was absolutely stunning! i get excited just watching it! when people comment on the business of kyoto, and how it bothers them, but then they live in tokyo, i always get so confused! haha. thanks for the great video!
Do you have a video that explains that Japan doesn't have a retiree visa program? If I was talking about your Mom who would like to retire to Japan: Your Mom can retire there but it's involved. First, she would need to comply with Covid requirements - this could be the deal breaker if travelers from your country are banned due to Delta variant. Next, she should get tourist visa for 90 days. 45 days after arrival, apply to extend the tourist visa to 180 days. During this time, she should network to develop friendships with locals or find an American-born immigration lawyer - she needs a local person to vouch for her and sign a document to that effect. Then she'll be ready to apply for Temporary Resident Visa. If she is or becomes fluent in Japanese, she can apply to become permanent resident. Quite involved and possible.....
I might be late but I mainly want to have a vacation house or retirement house in kyoto.things that attracts me the most are the cherry blossoms and culture .As a person who has only lived in two places it gets boring and I just want to expand and go somewhere new
Americans can buy there but will be living on a visitor's visa, which is only good for 3 months at a time. There are a number of sources for houses. I recommend this one: www.arrowsrealty.com

@@randyglazer8472 Can I rent a house for 3 months?
@@Mwoods2272 I know there are rentals. I'd ask the realtor for what is available for short term.
@@Mwoods2272 best bet - 90 day Airbnb. Discount for stays longer than 30 days
Super hot in summer
