I waited 10 solid years for what eventually became this game… those long 10 years where I went from a high schooler to graduating college to getting into the workforce to moving around jobs and moving up companies ladders. The money I made, the foods I ate, the friends I made and lost, the girlfriends I had and lost, the foreign countries I visited… all those happened whilst waiting for this game.
And now this game is 7 years old. That’s nuts.
Ive always related and said the same exact thing, I loved this game with a passion and was one of the first biggest pre orders I looked forward to dropping, and then the Stand Forward trailer that released close to the release date made it even more good of waiting for it to drop, this game holds a huge place in my heart

@@hashtag.ethanz same here! only a few games make me tear up during the story, and this was one of them. I'll never forget riding with the boys, listening to final fantasy 7's crystal theme while driving with the top down : )
And I'll probably play it again this year. Gonna watch the animes first, then the FF15 movie, then just get totally immersed all over again in the game for 100+ hrs!

when people say FFXV doesn't have any good or memorable tracks I point here
This theme music is very relaxing and provides a calming atmosphere in the menu.
6 years ago seems so long. Almost an decade. In those 6 years my lifestyle changed so drastically. This game kept me going throughout the hard times. Moving, getting adjusted, moving again. This when I also found Neptuina. This game and that game kept me going. Oftentimes, I just think about how great and hard the experience were. Final fantasy XV will always remain my favorite game in the world.
I binged this entire game within a week or so. Haven't touched it since, even though I loved it. Every time I hear this music, I'm immediately transported back to my college dorm--pausing the game, cooking ramen and trying not to wake my roommate. It serves as a weird little time capsule of sorts. That's the power of music, I guess.

When I hit pause and heard this for the first time, I felt the same way as I did when I heard GTA V's pause music. So peaceful... So tranquil! 🌺

it's the music which brought me into the FF franchise. i just gave it a try when it first came into pc gamepass in 2020 and now I have played all mainline ff games including including ff11 and ff14. FF15 will always be special to me.

Recently started playing FFXV. It has been a delightful little puff of nothing exactly when I needed it. My work has gone down the crapper and the rest of my existence along with it. Just an endless succession of insoluble problems as I work more and more, harder and harder, and have less than nothing to show for it. But then for an hour I can go on a ridiculous Hot Topic bromance road trip, see the sights, catch a trout, and pull insane combos on a giant rhino.

It's funny they didn't move in the first version but after the first update, they were chillin then they looked at the camera and started posing
The hasn't been a menu theme since Legend of Dragoon and I thought that the feel it brings it's so great. It confirms the respite feeling that chilling in the menu is supposed to bring to the player.

Neat spin on the prelude/crystal theme. 13 didn't include prelude for some reason. There is a song called prelude, and it's still a great track, but it's not THE prelude that's been in all (or close to all) the other FF entries.
Maybe that's where XIII went wrong
Mekkah Dee Ha, yeah it had some flaws. Still a decent game though. I don't associate "linear", with "bad" like many folks do these days. As long as it's enjoyable to play, it can be as linear as highway 46 for all I care.

Yeah honestly that's one of the things that set people off about 13 was sometimes the lack of music references and lore reference shit like it was trying to break away

Reviews are pretty accurate. Its not a 10/10 game, 8 is pretty spot on imo.

last time i checked (probaly im wrong) the composer of Xenoblade Chronicles was Hiroyuki Swano, the composer for Attack on titan, Aldnoah zero, Blue Excorcist and other anime
Josue Leyva Yoko Shimomura. She contributed on Xenoblade Chronicles a fair bit, but she's most well known for the Kingdom Hearts series' soundtracks.
