I speak for everyone when I say that this is (apart from the yelly belly thing) an absolute resounding success from midjiwan. They have continued to knock it out of the park with updates, new content, and care about balancing. A fantastic rework for a fantastic game
Ah, i remember how anticipated this update was 70 years ago. Unfortunately since I'm so old, I'm too weak to play polytopia, but I'm glad that the new generations will be able to experience this.

What if you played against a bot as Aquarion in a drylands map and just flooded the entire map? I think that could be an interesting challenge. I can't because I don't have the tribe.

Not sure why terrain floods regardless of tech / you only need riding. So far aquarion isn’t op in the tiny matches ive played, they play very differently because warrior flooding the ocean is uhh dynamically weird but there lack of tech slows there economy down by a lot (they might become meta solely in tiny maps because the edge of the map lighthouses are easier to reach and you get the oceans treasures wayy earlier than your opponent ‘get anything but a vet swordsmen and your economically ahead by a fair amount’). Very similar to polaris with there curve and ability to create very powerful late game units for very expensive tech choices. I absolutely adore the new animals, my favorite being the shark in design. Rly loving the update -aquarium main
@@chordscapepiano they can take a hit before having it all restored, or take retaliation damage and then heal to full + 5. You don't have to but it's slightly more efficient.

But persist with 2.5 attack is criminal
Any ranged unit with escape and dash will be OP, as tridents were. Persist is a very good substitute for them.
