    This past weeks question is similar to a past question, "What are the needs of the heart?" I would answer this way: There are no needs of the heart because the heart cotains everything we already require to live a happy and healthy life under God, guided by his word written on our hearts of stone.

    Catherine, I believe her name is (with the accent) reminds me so much of the not me in the fallen state. The pride of being a mother and a wife, and doing it the "right way" and I understand the intent. But intent can still be binding. We have to let go of all identities or we may miss the opportunities to look at ourselves. I wish you well and appreciate your candor.

    14:35 The expression "If I'm being honest" has intrigued me for
    some time. _What_ is the aspect of one personality regarding an
    issue or idea that's _separately questioning_ an _other_ personality
    about the fact of being honest?! When speaking, _one_ is either honest
    or not.

      @@PAX---777 And have you noticed the tendancy of people to
      deflect questions about their experiences? Particularly in
      relation to trauma? At one period in my life I went for
      counselling and the counsellor asked me several times
      "Who is it that . . . ?"
      I'd been asked about parents splitting up and how I felt
      about it but presented several replies which began with
      "Well, y'know, when you've thought for years . . . " or "When
      you learn . . . " and it was _necessary_ for the counselor
      to respond that I kept saying "you" when he hadn't in fact
      asked about _his_ life and history-- he was asking about
      _mine._ But there I was telling _him_ *his* feelings?!
      Projection. Disowning the personal experience I was
      relating!! It was jarring.

    The "what if" questions can really get people fired up (cheating, bank robber etc)
    The first time I ever called JLP my question was about "boundaries" as I began to realize that they're made up ways to not let life happen. In love there are no boundaries because if you are being right than you are in the light and won't have to tip toe around boundaries. Uhmazin

    • @kwimms
      @kwimms Рік тому +1

      Hmmm... sure, but there ARE boundaries in life. Natural ones imposed by God, and ones imposed by ourselves to make our lives run better (or worse). Most "what ifs" are nonsense because context is everything, and it is easy to become idealistic... ie. to see how silly it is to think of not having boundaries: try raising a child without rules and boundaries... try living with someone who never cleans up after themselves, to take just the most simple examples... Language is only created from boundaries (words, ideas). A leader is a man who sets boundaries and enforces them. Without boundaries, there is no order. Order is of Logos and is of Christ and requires boundaries. I could go on... but many of these things JLP don't make any sense when examined. Yeah, I should call in...

      @@kwimms I almost read the entire paragraph, but I'm black.
      Boundaries to make life run smoother aren't necessary in the present, because the light is guiding you. But, like I said I didn't read the entire thing 🤷

  • @kwimms
    @kwimms Рік тому +9

    Amazing church today, but I don't quite understand the "if you found out your friend of 30 years was a bank robber it should have no affect on your relationship" idea... If I found that out, I would then discern that my 'friend' was a lair, a cheater, motivated by greed, willing to threaten people's life for money, etc. and why wouldn't he extend those same issues to me eventually? I would drop that 'friend' faster than a hot potato and have nothing more to do with them. Talk done. So yeah... I get what Jesse's saying... but maybe this is not a good example. Similar with the cheating spouse thing... These things shouldn't affect your feelings in any way, but they would affect how you moved forward in life with that person from that point - so it's not correct to say these things would not affect you, they would. But being born again of the Spirit of God... like water, you would flow with the go (reality).

      Because you would not be attached to that person. So whether he was a bank robber or not, you dont care, you act the same way with him or her because they provide no false need for you.
