🤣🤣🤣 Danny I couldn’t be posh if I tried mate looking forward to seeing Mark on the live this week keep up the sterling work mate you’ve got a great channel. I wish I had a Linda at the plots too 🤣🤣 🙏😊👍
Congratulations on 2k Mel 🎉. Love the noise of a crackling 🔥. Oh man I hope your back gets better soon. Fantastic leeks 👍. Shed is looking great Mel and yes we only use Phillips head screw 👍👍. Have a fab week, take care of yourself, Ali ❄️❄️❄️❄️⛄️🇨🇦 (foot of snow here)
2k Ali can’t believe it never thought anyone would interested in my witterings 🤣 Back feeling better but full of cold at the minute🥴 Hope the snow disappears as quick as a came for you Ali. In the meantime stay warm and take care 🙏😊👍🇬🇧
Hi Mal You are spot on malleable / pliable same meaning 😊 I felt for ya when putting guttering up and snapping them into the holders " OUCH !! " looks real good, though, and you've come a long way in getting it done. Congratulations on your 2,000 subscribers 🎉 Have a great week Mal, looking forward to your next video 👋
Yes! Thank you Julie! I knew not bunking off those English lessons would pay dividends one day 🤣 I’ve been told to use washing up liquid for the clips next time which sounds good. 2k 😮 can’t believe it still 🤣🤣 Have a great week and thanks for tuning in again 🙏😊👍
Love the leeks Mal! The onions you recommended are just coming up as I was a bit late sowing them but what a great tip for potting on. Remembering that one. I'm growing along with you this year because you seem to have a lot of success and you're "oop North" like me with the colder weather. Can't wait to get the parsnips started again!! Happy growing and I hope your muscles settle down. I don't think this cold damp weather agrees with us, as my knees will confirm !!!
Thanks Jenny I’m looking forward to the season now I’ve nearly moved off the back plot it’s been a real slog! Yes won’t belong before we’re sowing the first parsnips can’t wait. The pulled muscle has eased a little but having the day off work today to rest up. Have a lovely week ahead and thanks for tuning in again 🙏😊👍
Hi Mal good job with all the work you’ve done, well last week I got my compost bag off and my chicken manure it feels so good to get it done I was trying to get it out of the rain want the nutrients in the garden 👍❤
I feel your pain with the guttering clips 🤬 The only tip Ive got is to wear gloves so it pinches the glove rather than the fingers. I think if i needed to do anymore gutters i would pay someone to do them for me 😅 Hope your back and chest feel better soon, the cold doesn’t help xx
Alright Mal Love the videos mate just a heads up on the guttering we usually put a little grub screw ( 3/4 x 6 pozy ) at work in the obtuse bends on the downpipes instead off the glue easy to take apart if it gets blocked. You can buy downpipe brackets if you need to, round or squareline. Cheers👍🏻
Hi Mal you’re motoring along now you’ve inspired over the past few weeks to crack on with my plot I love watching you !!!!!! I love the way you pot on the onions I’ve been putting it off for days but I’m going to use your method tomorrow 👍xx
Oh thank you! Makes sure their neither too dry nor too wet as it makes more difficult Lorraine. Best getting on top early then your not chasing the season. Thank you for tuning in it’s so appreciated 🙏😊👍
Busy bee mate, i have a dewalt hot air gun that i use to warm the clips up mate, it makes them a bit more pliable, if you dont have a hot air gun you could always used boiling water to slightly soften the clips. The leeks are looking really good. if it were me i wouldnt be putting a hole in the ibc, i would remove a pallet, yes its solvent weld what you want for the joints mate. Great video as always Mal 👍
Yes mate I’m getting there now warming them up is a good idea also someone mentioned washing up liquid may help! Think your right about ibc don’t really want to compromise it so will lower and drop pipe into lid. Yep leeks have been sorted and are in the freezer. Hope your keeping well pal 🙏😊👍
Hi Mal, I haven’t been able to do anything in the garden lately, I caught a nasty virus from my beloved, but today got out for nearly an hour sorting out compost and raking over beds because it is so lovely a bright and sunny I couldn’t resist😅. Paying the price now, needing berocca and paracetamol and a warm fire 😢…
Oh no! I’ve been the same haven’t been to work came on last Saturday haven’t been out until earlier today. Nipped to the allotment but like you it’s knock me back a bit. Hope you feel better soon and back at it Izzy🙏😊👍
I like that method of potting on your onions Mal. If I could suggest when pulling leaks, insert a sharp trowel down through the roots about half inch away from the stem all around. Leeks come out clean and easy. Also much better to add your compost in the autumn then cover bed with black plastic. That way the soil organisms can get to work all winter and the black plastic also warms up the beds. Cheers Norm
Surely the downpipe has a wall bracket/clamp to fix it to the wall. I think some hot water poured or soaked those clip brackets onto the gutter might help. Best of luck 🤞❤
Great video mal mate. I know what you mean with your fingers with the guttering. I'd run that pipe into the side of ibc and keep ibc high mate. I never had any mastic so put some small screw into the bends that go into ibc and they are solid no leaks. Take care mal
Thank you notice I didn’t mention it 🤣 Coming off the back an 8 game not losing run I didn’t expect them to capitulate like they did expected it to be a tuff game. Thanks for watching mate 🙏😊👍
If you haven’t got a lid for your water butt, you might want to tie a piece of insect mesh or old net curtain over the top to stop mosquitoes laying their eggs in the water, also leaves and debris getting in 👍🏼
Cheers Richard mate that’s a great idea! I’ll certainly do that with the wood store. Love the allotment mate it’s my Zen space but caught a bit of a chill so day off at home in front of the 🔥. Thanks for watching pal 🙏😊👍
Shut the front door 😮 Is it really that easy to get beautiful leeks? 😮 I'm pricking out singles and groups, trying to avoid crushing those fine little roots... And now you're telling me I don't have to do that? 😮😍 Do they make room and just push the other ones? It says on the bag to separate them by 5 cm, so I thought they needed much space. 🙈 😳 Your way seems so much more comfortable 😂
Yes honestly it works look back at my past videos I get some very good onions doing it this way. It’s far too time consuming pricking them out. They sulk for a bit but after a few weeks they settle in and grow on 🙏😊👍
My Pet hate is pricking out hate it I do my onions the way you do them if I had to prick all them out they'd be in the bin 😂 Had splits in 2 of my water butt's tried everything CT1 sealant can be used under water , leak sealant tape amongst a load of other stuff the only thing that worked was Black jack you paint it on brilliant stuff 👍 would have been cheaper to buy new bloody bins the amount of stuff I bought and didn't work 🙄
Tell me about it Elizabeth takes an age to do, I get some cracking onions doing it this way. Saves time same results. Thanks for watching and have a lovely week 🙏😊👍
Are ya sure it not the heart mal, lol your getting on in age 😂😂😂... only joking which way is the fall on the guttering it looks to be falling the other way
Know exactly what you mean about the guttering clips and crap screw quality Mal - you rant away mate! All looking good. What on earth are you going to do with yourself on the plot next winter when everything is tickedy boo!
Fantastisch Good work albout te prie te moostiun te uien zaailing te pot te compost the work the Houte stal thans te video best friend Top weekend 👍✔️🌱🧤🎽🧣🔨☕🌡️🌞🌿🔥🖊️📏

OMGOSH the sound of crackling wood is so calming and good for the soul
It sure is light a fire at every given opportunity thanks for tuning in 🙏😊👍

The leeks look amazing Mal, love the tip for repotting the onions to x

Enjoy Stella I saw the video of you help out on your friends garden and I must admit I was a tad jealous 🤣 Enjoy it Stella 🙏😊👍
@ I must admit it is fantastic to escape the winter for a bit
@ I’ll bet 🌞 👍
Hi Mal good job with all the work you’ve done, well last week I got my compost bag off and my chicken manure it feels so good to get it done I was trying to get it out of the rain want the nutrients in the garden 👍❤
Well done yes the rain can very quickly remove all the goodness the compost and manure. Here’s hoping for a bumper year!
🙏😊👍

I'm going to try that with the onions Mal,never tried that before 😊 Leeks look good !
Yes Susie I’ve done that for the past two seasons and they have done really well.
Good luck with yours 🤞🤞🤞
🙏😊👍

Cheers for that Malcy mate very good point I’ll do that like you say less permanent and can dismantle if needed. Big thanks mate 🙏🙏🙏

Cheers Norm some great tips there mate we’re always learning 🙏🙏🙏😊👍
Surely the downpipe has a wall bracket/clamp to fix it to the wall. I think some hot water poured or soaked those clip brackets onto the gutter might help. Best of luck 🤞❤
Yes it does but would need to get some more angled turns to get it close enough to the shed for them to work if you know what I mean ?? 🙏😊👍
Great video mal mate. I know what you mean with your fingers with the guttering. I'd run that pipe into the side of ibc and keep ibc high mate. I never had any mastic so put some small screw into the bends that go into ibc and they are solid no leaks. Take care mal
Yes John someone else suggested that so I’m going give it a go pal. Have a great week matey🙏😊👍
If the pallets keep it at the right height get a can under leave it and do the plumbing 👍
I think Ali I can still get can under even when I take one pallet away but going to double check 🙏😊👍🇬🇧
Mal,for me i think i would drop the ibc rather than making a hole in it. It's only going to leak at some stage.
Yep think your right mate 🤔🙏😊👍
Good episode
No need for leeds to put 7 on the mighty bluebirds though😮
Thank you notice I didn’t mention it 🤣 Coming off the back an 8 game not losing run I didn’t expect them to capitulate like they did expected it to be a tuff game.
Thanks for watching mate 🙏😊👍

Thank you Jayne never thought about that🤔 Thanks for the tip 🙏😊👍
Hey Mal try some stretching yoga exercises for your back sounds like you have some tightness which then causes parts to seize up
I keep telling myself I need to start a morning stretching routine and I think I need to do that it’s particularly worse in winter. Thank you 🙏😊👍
These leeks are very big, you will treat your family with them.
Sure will Catherine thank you 🙏😊👍
Would a bit of fairy liquid help slip them together. Great videos as usual.

Put the clips in warm water to soften them mate
Great tip thanks 🙏😊👍
With your love of screws, screw the downpipe into the spout. Easier to pull apart too, if you use stainless..
Good idea thanks 🙏😊👍
leave ibc on the pallets mal and just drill a hole in the side for greenhouse pipe, better off up keeping it up high mate
Cheers Tom 🙏😊👍
