Period Dramas are wonderful to watch..I love'em..this series is addictive! I love Queenie's life lessons and wisdom and thoughts on love...these two little town's joys and sorrows are much like we face today..
Okay, I really need to watch this show! I'm getting all teary for a romance I have no idea about! I did start season 1 of this show years ago, as my library has it, but I didn't finish. It's on my list now!! :)
I almost expected it to fade out into, "Goodbye, Fisher..." Anyway, these two broke my heart. I liked Daniel well enough, but... these two were the passion.
They were and I was crushed she chose Daniel. But Fisher...that was a real man. He will find a woman who deserves him. I mean, if he had a storyline that continued, he would. Laura was a fool.
Her father and Dorcas were both right. Chemistry fizzles in the face of reality, and love is an act of the will that endures through time. He loved his life more than her, and that's that.
There are so many elements of this show that irked me but I returned for the characters I liked, like Minnie, Zillah, Alf, Caroline, Twister. What I hated about Fisher's storyline is after accusing Laura of being full of herself, she didn't say something like, "I'm not the one who said the town is going to change because I'm here." Esp since she'd never done anything to make the audience think she's full of herself. I hate that kind of bad manipulation of the audience. It's lazy writing.
I like never comment on youtube but that was ammaziinngg!! My favourite couple from my favourite show! You put it together so beautifully xx Have to ask as someone who's tried to make a Larkrise to Candleford video before; how did you get the scenes for the video?
I wanted her with Fisher! My one hope is we never saw her marry Daniel, so here's to hoping somewhere out there she gets her happily ever after with her true love Fisher!

Laura did not deserve Fisher. I was so disappointed when she ended up with Daniel but really, Fisher deserved someone less constipated.
