Very well done! I like the blowout section and also the diagrams of both single and double HT. I can get everything I need in under 10 seconds basically.
Here’s how you do it. U open dark ruler, and a card like raigeki or evenly matched. Then set skill drain, gozen, solemn judgement and summon one machina gearframe… then attempt to use its effect
If they 4th or 3rd body, they just wont use swap frog as the body for elf.. they will just revive it toad. To make toadally as a workaround. Or they will use dharc or mannequin cat to generate missing pieces.
As usual the best guides around, and further helping people see this is going to actually be a pretty fine format, I think less rogue and Swordsoul is iffy being able to break through. but a good array of decks will fight for that crown. :)
Alpha, the master of beasts is a great card vs spright. It's an inherent special summon that can jump over toad then use its eff to bounce elf and be a follow-up board breaker the next turn. Pankratops unfortunately is an activated eff in hand so they can negate with toad.
Pankratops doesn't activate in hand. It's Special Summon text is written as follows: "If your opponent controls more monsters than you do, you can Special Summon this card (from your hand)." There's no colon or semi-colon there, so it's a Special Summon condition that doesn't start a chain, similar to Alpha. Come to think of it, I'd imagine Pank would do just fine being run alongside Alpha in this matchup, if you wanted to go that route. Elf + Toad alone is 3600 ATK, high enough for you to summon both Pank and Alpha if you opened them both.
I play Umi Control and a card that works well against Spright and many other decks is "Numen Erat Testudo": Neither player can special summon monsters with 1800 or less ATK. It is a LV 5 water monster so it works well with the deck.
@@METAK188 I use Mystic Mine in my build. Since the floodgate Kairyushin does not activate, Mine can be up simultaneously. Demise of the Land lets me swap between field spells. Also since most of the monsters are LV 4 Aqua, Ties of The Brethren + Water Barrier Statue or Maiden of the Aqua can lead to some ridiculous locks.
I wonder if Sprights would win vs Full Power Tri-Lyrilusc from December 2021 when they still had the Simorgh Link bird and Recital @ 3 copies. It seems almost like de ja vu to this time last year.. 2 deck format but instead of Birds and SwordSoul its Spright and Tearalament. Might as well bring Recital back to 3 now
surprised you didn't mention Ghost Belle negating Toadally Awesome if it responds to a monster effect. it's not some full proof plan but it's an important interaction to know
Gigantic spright needs to detach a material for its effect. It's not cost. So if ghost ogre destroys it, it has no material to detach and it resolves without effect.
Floo can sh*t on spright and tearlaments solely because dimension shiter as Coder called it that. Although D.D Crow is going to be staple now in terms of handtraps and is not HOPT like other HT
When does Konami ever ban that cards that make a deck good during it's release? (Basically never) When does Konami release MORE cards to make the deck better before it's release? (Emergency Teleport... All Hero cards.. pendulum stuff)
Would really love if you did more illegal plays in common meta decks to look for. The Track tricks video saved me 2 games instant subscribe. It would be nice if you did common meta cheats that are not caught unless you know the deck. Examples swordsoul locking to wyrms, rockets locking to dark just those small fine letter rules may miss. Also this video needs an update.
This current format there isn't as many, but once the tournament experience starts to go further my ruling vids will come out tackling them. The last one I did was with Purrely but they got killed via the ban list. Swordsoul Wyrm locks via Ashuna is a thing. Actually almost every deck has some level of a Lock. Gold Pride
Umm yeh, you could just simply list the cards you need to negate rather than do a whole breakdown of how Spright is played: I don't care about your three Toadly Awesomes and how you plan on summoning all 3: We're here to figure out the negates, not psycho analyse the opponent.
One thing Yu-Gi-Oh does that others don't is have the full cardpool always legal, minus the banlist. I can still play old school Blue-Eyes against any deck! There is no set rotation. But...Konami makes some cards too generic, like Dagda and Apoloussa that you absolutely have to use them in whatever combo deck you make.

Going first King Tiger Wanghu worked for me when I tried some play testing with my anti meta deck.
What a chad, remembering tiger boi
Very helpful video on how to beat Spright. I really appreciate this guide!
I'm so happy Hop Ear Squadron is getting some shine in Splights. Its been a super underrated card for a long time. Its versatile and its a tuner.

Thanks for the insight so I know what to do in the mirror match :)
Honestly the whole magic number explanation reminds me of what I have to do in Utopia
I run ninjas every week at my locals and I use hanzo to search transformation and transform into the Tiger King Wangu lol everyone lost their minds.
Can I see your Ninja list?
I feel that 2x Dark Ruler and 1x sphere, with 2x ogre works best for standard handtraps nowadays if you are going blind into enemy team
I think I'm gonna pull gnomaterial out cause I need to budget and if I can stop them from xyz or linking that'll be a bonus

yes it is a possiblitly
Didn't even know you could do that. That can be some really useful info.
Would hitting a gigantic or elf with reaper weaken their board more then stopping the 2 toad negates?
Killing elf maybe the more correct hit. As all the recovery stems from this.
Either or works because one is the GY summon and the other is the deck tutor
Very useful thanks
Very good video! Tears next? 👀😅
Predictably, do Tearlaments next
Thoughts on mind drain? Trap diggers?
Also, great video. Deff, this deck can just put a giant card if all goes south…
a nice thing is thatyou can negate toad'seff with ghost belle
Can you do sunavalon Rika next
Tearlaments next please, they are so hard to beat
Damn how you not gonna include d barrier in the side for honorable mentions
What are your thoughts on go second cards vs handtraps this format?
Anti spell is still in our midst. But gon2nd cards are Great
This is damn good! Thank you
Stygian Dirge is also good card for the mirror
How about chaos hunter? How effective against spright?
Im confused on what you mean Crow the called by the grave. And why does it matter if you have 0 monsters?
Please do Mathmech. I really think people are sleeping on this deck. It’s super resilient with no maxx c in this format.
Need this guide thank u
Also might get that tattoo
May I ask.. will "Mistaken Accusation" work well if I targetted Blue ?" Is it a good card to add vs Splight anyways ?
"you need at least double hand trap". me, who plays gurus: "lol, yall only opening two-three hand traps?"
You had a great opportunity at the beginning to say spright smashers lol

4:40 - there is a simple reason as to why beaver over diva... I don't have halqi... so why bother?
Foolish burial, extra extension, swap. Frog angler extra bodies. All pushes through standard handtraps
