    Once the plaintiff saw dog crap all over the apartment, she should have found someone else to watch her dog. Find cheap boarding at a vets office, hire from a website, anything other than leaving the dog with a person that won’t even clean up dog feces and urine before company comes over.

  • @JamieM470

    Since the law considers dogs as property, they should appreciate rather than depreciate. An older dog has been house-trained, leash-trained, vaccinated, and socialized.

      I agree. Either he sold the dog for money or the dog somehow got out while he was at work and was lost. I do not believe his story that someone broke in and JUST stole the plaintiff's dog and not the other dog or any other valuables in the house. How would anyone even know that dog was there in the first place to streal it? And the fact that he doesn't seem AT ALL sorry for the fact that the dog went missing in his care, and his general lack of concern, given that the dog was left in his care only proves that.

    • @EstherFlores286

    I'd be curious as to whether anyone checked with the landlord. I know if I had a tenant who had an approved dog on the lease and let it crap in one of the rooms as a matter of habit, I'd be quick about removing any new, non-lease approved dogs that showed up. By the same token, anyone who would willfully destroy another person's property by letting a dog regularly use a room as a toilet is also someone who would have no issues with selling someone else's dog.

    I'm sure the producers told the Judge she couldn't call him a he b/c they need to go along with the agenda the same way the law left her no choice but to depreciate the value of the dog and refer to it as "property" and an "item" - but she worked around it referring to the defendant as simply "the defendant" instead of being pressured to call a man "she" simply to satisfy people who want to force their beliefs onto others.

I stand with you 100% on cases of abuse, dog bites, etc. that the legal system should award "pain and suffering" in addition to vet bills. It's painful to hear $500 as the depreciated award for a family member.

    Why the f would you leave your dog with someone who cant even clean up dog poo or take the dog out for fresh air exercise and a good run around??!! Her holiday was more important?? She didnt care about leaving her dog in those conditions, maybe she keeps her dog in the very same conditions?? Especially when she still goes off sunning herself on a beach for however many days/weeks while knowing that her dog is left cooped up in an apparent apartment that's covered with dog poop and isn't having its basic needs met?! Wouldn't be me, I'd be cancelling my holiday i would not be able to relax knowing my dog was being mistreated, she should have found a reputable dog boarding facility well before her holiday.

    I have to say there are many videos on UA-cam of people stealing pure breed pets from homes. I saw surveillance videos of people who broke into homes and yards just to take a pure breed dog. The only way the owners know what happens is watching the surveillance footage. Without it, they would have no clue why their pet is gone. So it can happen. And Shih Tzu's are one of the breeds stolen often, not Chihuahuas. So that's probably why the one dog was taken.

    • @davidswick8571
      @davidswick8571 11 місяців тому +1

      I would agree with you if the defendant was shaken up and apologetic. Also if I was in the defendant's situation, the first think I would do is think the dog is hiding under the bed or in a corner somewhere. I would not automatically think the dog was taken. The dog is a smaller dog in an unknown environment where its owner just left it, it would be scared and unknown what is going on and hiding. My first thought would be to see where it the house it is, not that it was taken. Even after not finding the dog I would assume open window and the dog ran away and I would be searching the neighborhood for it.

    • @kaykepop4084
      @kaykepop4084 11 місяців тому

      @bluebonbon22 I have a Chihuahua, and all I ever hear from people is how it's a very annoying breed and how no one ever wants them. Even my vet asked me was I sure I wanted to get one because people rehome them often and wanted to make sure I knew what I was getting into. And when I searched videos about them I found more awful videos than good. With that, I just assumed that's how many people feel about them. Having a Chihuahua isn't easy compared to my Goldendoodle, and I can now see why they are given up. I just can't do it.
