No actual selling on the store will happen. And the nerve to charge $1460 (local price with tax already) for a phone that has no significant difference with its apparent predecessor, Note10+ (which is the one I am using now).
I believe the s-pen slot switched to left because of the camera behind that's too big that will make both s-pen and camera bump with each other if they are at same side.
Just to clarify: the Exynos variant used to be superior to the Snapdragon version. That changed around the S9, but you sorta made in sound like the Exynos has always been inferior. It hasn't! Anyway, commenting to boost the algorithm in your favour. Good review!
The more videos I see, the more I'm thinking of cancelling my order. I dont understand how they could rip us off regarding the chip and battery setup here in the uk. It's just not on at all.
Dude! xD as soon i heard the 'left hander' remark, i straightaway paused your video to comment..😂 yes i am a lefty and i absolutely love the new position of the S-pen. And yes i did laugh.😂 Love your videos man, keep it up!
I keep watching Note 20 Ultra videos while waiting for mine. A week to go before delivery and I just can't wait. Will be having Exynos btw as I live in UAE.lol. But I am shifting back to Samsung after using an Iphone for 6 mos. 😉
People have been asking me to switch to iphone...I do have iMac and ipad, but never made the switch to the phone. I love my Samsung phones. Curious as to what did you miss most about switching to iphone from Samsung/Android?
While the Iphone really does have good camera (the only thing I merit), it's very limited in multi tasking and features. And I miss the beautiful screens from Samsung. I don't use the S Pen much but I miss its crop and cut features. Like I had a tablet, an android and an apple. I sold the tablet and the android and will sell the Iphone too. Then I can have like all of those three in just one. 🤩
Honestly, I think Samsung should bring back the option to choose between a flat and curved screen like they did with the s7 and s7 edge. It would make both parties happy and really give Samsung a bigger edge (pun intended)...
I can't wait to get mine. I'm upgrading from galaxy s9 plus so it's going to have a better battery and chip even though it's still exynos. I'm trading my old phone with EE for £300 off the new plan and getting the gaming bundle which is worth at least £150 so all considered I think it's a good deal. Yeah snapdragon would be great but it's still a great phone, compared to phones even 5 years ago it's still impressive. I think people are being too fussy maybe? And they're all jumping on the 'I hate exynos' bandwagon.
Snapdragon 865 more like 150$ 875 would be even more expensive and 775G will breach 100$ Next year, we would hear people complain about higher price when the real culprit is s.o.c and with better and more generous features
@@ASBYT Well first off, I like the design....alot. Supper cool looking. And having seen Samsung's UI in years I must say it's improved alot. I like the SPen and its functions because I'm more of the scribble type. All in all despite processors it's a powerful phone and I don't think that the processor should be a reason not to purchase. And that integration with Windows 👍🏾. And those cameras too. Glad to see laser back because it was on my LG G4 and works really well.
It's inability to use WQHD+ resolution at 120 hz refresh rate actually comes down to the processor, not the snapdragon but the exynos, exynos can't support both so Samsung sacrificed that feature on the Snapdragon variant so the difference between both processors aren't as noticable as they already are.

People who are thinking why the s20 or note 20 ultra cannot run qhd at 120hz is because of exynos. The Snapdragon 865 has the potential to run with that display settings but the exynos cannot. So Samsung disabled it . Yeah that it.
I'm so happy that ASBYT has the same opinion as me in terms of the S-Pen relocation. No offense to the lefties out there but the majority of the population of the world are really righties like me and ASBYT. Though it's not much of an issue to me anymore being an ambidextrous but surely the placement of the S-Pen will take a lot of getting used to. And it's like beneath this video ASBYT seems to tell that if you got a Galaxy Note10+ from last year which I do personally then you should stay with it. Cuz the upgrades Samsung did on the Note20 Ultra is very minor and some of them are even gimmicky. Unless something tereible happens to my ever gorgeous Note10+ that having it repaired would costs more than just buying a new phone, I'd say I will be keeping my Note10+ for now. Cuz it's got everything I need and more and Note20 Ultra is very lackluster of an upgrade.
Better camera, lower pen latency, 120hz adaptive screen, wireless DeX etc. There are a good amount of upgrades, I do agree it is unnecessary to upgrade from Note10+ but it definitely has good upgrades.
@@mohamadrezaho3374 I'd say go with Note10+ if you don't need a fancy camera and 120Hz screen refresh rate... Nor an 8K video recording which can only be viewed in an 8K monitor. What I mean is here in the Philippines, Samsung released two variants of Galaxy Note 20 Ultra, a non-5G with 8GB and a 5G with 12GB RAM but the latter is just on limited pre order and via carrier plans... No actual selling on the store will happen. And the nerve to charge $1460 (local price with tax already) for a phone that has no significant difference with its apparent predecessor, Note10+ (which is the one I am using now).
Agreed. I can't have a proper screen protector on a curve, it's just not ideal.
Still using my Note 9 and this Note is still premium...pics are awesome and we have a audio Jack for headphones
The more videos I see, the more I'm thinking of cancelling my order. I dont understand how they could rip us off regarding the chip and battery setup here in the uk. It's just not on at all.
I'm probably going to import it because I don't want the Exynos version
Dude! xD as soon i heard the 'left hander' remark, i straightaway paused your video to comment..😂 yes i am a lefty and i absolutely love the new position of the S-pen. And yes i did laugh.😂
Love your videos man, keep it up!
@Saakshar Shah yes true. If we are gonna get the note 20 ultra then we gotta get it from the US or canada. Exynos isn't up to the mark.
Completely agree about the screen!
My Nr. 1 pick for smartphone related stuff, you nailed it with this one!
"BUTTERY" so funny
Too funny I knew it was buttery lol 😆
I bought today the exynos .So far i am very pleased
So what about the battery life❓
exactly
Bad with exynos chip
They can't talk about it till the review embargo lifts. That's around the 18th.
@@christo1989 because.... you own one?
Samsung doesnt wants us to know bout the negative of the phone before it comes out lol
Honestly, I think Samsung should bring back the option to choose between a flat and curved screen like they did with the s7 and s7 edge. It would make both parties happy and really give Samsung a bigger edge (pun intended)...
I don't think anyone really likes the curved displays though... A ton of folks think they look cool, which they do, but it isn't practical in any way.
@@ryanwaasdorp Well, there are some "edge" fans such as me out there and the option would really be appreciated by all, I think.
I just upgraded from the S8 and I'm absolutely loving it. 10/10 recommend
Thanks for sharing and I'm in US so gonna be getting snapdragon and I'm gonna have a big upgrade from S10+ so should be fun
Exynos production is 100dolars
Snapdragon cost 250
Snapdragon 865 more like 150$
875 would be even more expensive and 775G will breach 100$
Next year, we would hear people complain about higher price when the real culprit is s.o.c and with better and more generous features
Enjoyed your review you are always on target!!!
ASBYT.YOU'RE THE BEST OF BEST
Best Review So Far. 👍🏾
Thanks Afridon! What do you think of the phone?
@@ASBYT Well first off, I like the design....alot. Supper cool looking. And having seen Samsung's UI in years I must say it's improved alot. I like the SPen and its functions because I'm more of the scribble type. All in all despite processors it's a powerful phone and I don't think that the processor should be a reason not to purchase. And that integration with Windows 👍🏾. And those cameras too. Glad to see laser back because it was on my LG G4 and works really well.
I wanna ask if, this phone is good for online classes, using DeX Mode, Note taking, etc.
@William Freeze Does S20 Ultra have wireless Dex?
It's inability to use WQHD+ resolution at 120 hz refresh rate actually comes down to the processor, not the snapdragon but the exynos, exynos can't support both so Samsung sacrificed that feature on the Snapdragon variant so the difference between both processors aren't as noticable as they already are.
Another blow for Exynos.
@@aexetanius sadly yes, and it really saddens me because I'm a huge fan of Samsung, they're still my favorite smartphone manufacturer
How come no one mentions that @5:44 their's a message that pops up saying "being attacked by a wasp"? What's that all about @ASBYT?
Other than that Thank You for the Awesome Review !!
I've already pre ordered the Note20 Ultra 512G! Just hate that I'm trading in my S20 Ultra 512G because I do like it very much. But I'm a sucker for Latest and Greatest.
Best Review of the Note20 Ultra
First time to catch you as a reviewer. Very nicely done. Perhaps consider your what your fingers look like in giant close up, is my personal view.

Great 'review'. I agree regarding the flat screen. I pre-ordered mine but I am still in doubt because of the exonys chipset
People who are thinking why the s20 or note 20 ultra cannot run qhd at 120hz is because of exynos. The Snapdragon 865 has the potential to run with that display settings but the exynos cannot. So Samsung disabled it . Yeah that it.
Thanks for sharing your every day use experience. Really helped me make my decision towards buying this phone!
Reviewing a flagship Samsung phone... wearing an Apple Watch. Treachery!!
The apple watch looks ugly to be honest compared to Samsung watches
@@neverlookback1244 You mean the thick brick on the wrist? :-D
That is exactly why I can't take these videos seriously. That goes for other UA-camrs as well.
Surely testing and using all tech is the only way to accurately review products fairly? No blind loyalty to anyone here
@@ASBYT It was a 'tongue-in-cheek' comment mate. No offence meant.
And I'm here looking at the TV in the background
Can u help me to decide? I have galaxy s8 , and mow i wanna buy a note series phone but i don't which phone to buy , Note 10 + or note 20 ultra?
Mohamadreza Ho Note 20 ultra surely 100%
Better camera, lower pen latency, 120hz adaptive screen, wireless DeX etc. There are a good amount of upgrades, I do agree it is unnecessary to upgrade from Note10+ but it definitely has good upgrades.
@@shahjadafahim can you tell me why should i choose Note20 ultra instead of note10+ ?
@@mohamadrezaho3374 I'd say go with Note10+ if you don't need a fancy camera and 120Hz screen refresh rate... Nor an 8K video recording which can only be viewed in an 8K monitor. Especially now that Note10+ had dramatically decreased already. It's basically the better phone for the money. I'd say go with Note10+. I hope I am able to help you out.
We are in 2020 and phones still last for a day 🤣
We're also stuck inside...
Like your intelligence il think
Any more is a waste, just charge your damn phone at night. And if for some reason you can't do that, get a power bank
Unless you can make a better battery technology that is affordable... then well
120 Hz with Quad HD+ can't be achieved by the exynos chip so Samsung is just avoiding the backlash from exynos users
Can The S20 Ultra Snapdragon Achieve 120hz/Quad HD+m
It's a hardware choice as far as I know. Something to do with a driver that it's missing
Events can run quad HD and 120 hz 8f you look into it
Exynos can run QHD+ at 120Hz stop spreading misinformation
CraigDIGz yeah, but it will go up in flames 🔥 😂
Thats the reason why everyone isn’t getting it. They don’t want the exynos users to riot more.
Does S20 Ultra have wireless Dex?
Ur the best big fan pls
Where do we get your WALLPAPERS? Love them!
The content is solid and would be much better without all the music.
Didnt notice much or any music really
We give powerpoint meetings at work at the end of every sprint. I think the air commands with the S-Pen is invaluable once they iron out the bugs. It'd really make the N20 a heavy hitter in the ring of other business oriented mobiles :D
HAHA Left Handed Rules !!
The left hand is oblivious to the right. Your guess as good as mine.To many cooks involved and the obvious is the mind set of the company and it various foreign perspectives.20 years ago the tread on a tire wears out in a couple of uses$$$$$$$$$$$$. Good Video
I would absolutely love a flat screen. I dont like the curve.
Not loving a curve screen is like you not liking to breath
Great review! Thank you! I definitely want a flat screen for S Pen use. I noticed that you did not mention it getting hot. Considering how hot it is in the UK and that other reviewers have mentioned it, I take that as a good thing.
It was getting pretty hot at the start, but this has lessened to some extent. Will monitor 👍
Even if you could afford it, Exynos is an absolute deal-breaker
Exynos good or bad
@@kannafc3222 bad
Agreed, i stay in Scotland so won't be getting it unless they get s better chipsets or give us it at a cheaper price .
It's still an upgrade for current Note lovers.
@Robin D. its not that its "Bad" But for the price, The SnapDragon Variant is Waaay Better
I completely agree with you on your last point. As a long time fan of the Note series and an avid Spen user the Note should have a flat screen.
Dont say UK & Europe. We've left the EU but we can't leave the continent.
Technically the UK is an island, so it's not on a continent at all. You're part of the European region but not the continent itself if you wanna be that "akchtually" guy.

Oh here we go 🙄
I must say that i have been a OnePlus user 3 phones in a row the 5, 6 and 7 Pro and I've have been so pleased with these phones but I've of course always wanted the Samsung flagships but haven't afforded them but the Note 20 Ultra is so darn beautiful and I really wanted the note 10+ more than any other Samsung phone last year but this 20 Ultra looks and seems to be brilliant..
I sold my OnePlus 7 pro a few days ago and pre-order the Galaxy Note 20 ultra in Bronze. Currently using my note 4 as a backup until the note ultra arrive. The Note 20 ultra is such a powerhouse device with awesome looks!
@@JoJoHartt yeah if you live in Korea or US and where they use the snapdragon 865+ because the Exynos 990 is powerful but not that powerhouse beast it can be with snapdragon
@@jimmyostrom9499 yes, I do live in the US with the snapdragon 865+ and my mystic bronze note 20 ultra just arrived so I'm really excited. I thought the OnePlus 7 pro was fast but this note 20 ultra just blows it out the water. People will always have something to complain with no matter what. Like you're old enough to make a decision therefor, you buy it you deal with it.
I wouldn't care if it came with 1TB of storage as standard, the Exynos is still utter, utter 💩
Here is an idea:try to think for yourself, instead of repeating every moron, who claim that they can feel the difference!
Very thorough.

The reason the S pen is on the left side is cause of the camera unit since it would have been cutting space really close.
You always looked happy in your videos. Nice Review. 🤘🏼🤩
Hi,
Thanks for this great review video.
What about the overheating issue?
Great video
Totally cleared my doubts
Keep it bro!!
If you have the Snapdragon model then you will be able to use the higher refresh rate on QHD as well
Where did you hear that from?
Here in Australia we get the exynos chipset as well, which is going to be interesting with our heat. Considering have seen one video review stating that after a short usage it became very hot, especially when videoing. Also have seen one showing dramatic downgrading of possessor speed when gets hot.
Will have to wait and see
So glad to be left and right handed!
Waiting to grab it for less than £700 this autumn 🍂 unless there’s a way to import a snapdragon version from elsewhere???
Wondamobile very good site I'd recommend it
jamie I Thx 🙏🏻
It would be good if you could get your hands on the SD version of the Note 20 Ultra and do a performance comparison to see if the gap has widened
Did you tested the battery life and compared with other smartphones?
Wow nice sunset wallpaper at 5:18 can you share ? From wich app ???
I live in S. Korea and just picked up a Mystic White 20 Ultra 256 gb. The 512gb was not available for preorder. It's a Snapdragon 865+ and honestly the best phone I ever owned and held. Totally worth the $1100 price and plus the free Buds live.
Note 20 brings me here. But ill be staying around, not sure how i missed your channel but i really enjoyed the review. Subscribed :)
love the vids keep up good work, i went from note 10 plus to fold z2 now getting note 20 ultra but in 2 minds should i hwve gone for s 21 ultra
Lovely stuff. That's first class. Can't seem to find confirmation that the 990 has been tweaked though. I even asked Samsung direct. Twice. But they didn't reply!
But you have not shown a definitive battery test ... so is the reduction an issue and how much of one?
Hi ASBYT , I'm a huge fan of your reviews.
Premium content as always. I've got a question though. Does the Samsung galaxy note 20 ultra 5g (snapdragon 865+) mystic bronze come in a 256/512gb variant??
Amazing video as always!!! may I ask you the name of the game shown in the video ? Again thank you so much!!
I thought I read somewhere that here in the US Qualcomm owns a bunch of patents that the wireless technology in the US uses, and because Qualcomm charges so much for the licensing to use this technology it's actually cheaper to buy their chipsets that already include the rights to use these Technologies.
