I just installed a light on my mk18 clone with a surefire warcomp on it and until I watched this I just now realized it’s mounted directly above the ports lol. Thanks man
Haha I feel you bro! Those comps are super aggressive! Even with my setup the glass will get a little dirty but I’m able to wipe off the carbon after each range day. I’ve seen some folks wipe a thin layer of Vaseline over the glass before they go shooting, helps to wipe the carbon off much easier.
@@Redeemed_Team ditto. I'm buying a Streamlight Protac 2, I shoot right handed and based on your video, will mount it on the right side, with the pressure switch at 12 oclock of the rail.
Good question! I like a 3 o’clock position because when the light is directly on the side 3 o’clock it keeps my field of view through my optic more clean. With the 45 degree i can see part of the light through my optic lol unless you 45 degree towards the bottom of the rail instead of the top.. but then now the light is slightly interfering with my grip when I grab the hand guard.. so 3 o’clock is like a sweet spot for me. Hope this helps!

Great flashlight placement explanation, thanks. Right, looks like 3 o'clock opposite your grip hand is the best.
I agree! Thanks for stopping by!
@@Redeemed_Team I'm a lefty, so for me it would be 9 o'clock. Just thought about that. Duh!
Very helpful. Thank you
First comment!! Love this informative vid as always. Short and not too lengthy of a video, just right and straight to the point! 💯
Thanks Ayden ❤️
Thank you
Great explanation
Thank you! I’m definitely no expert but this is what made most sense to me!

@@21psd sounds like it will work great for you! I’ve heard great things about streamlight products! I want a streamlight for my pistol.
Hey,,what are the rail panels on the 6, 7 and 4 o'clock on both the 16 & 11.5, in front of the Samson? Thanks!

Great info. What about 3 o’clock vs 45° position?
