Wow! Thanks! Glad to hear that! Didn’t know you guys were still at it, that’s cool! :D I’m actually working on a remake of Mean Streets USA. Just takes a little while... hard to make something work with only the E dim chord. 😂😁
Hello There Big Finish games. I'm still playing Leaderboard on my Commodore C128D computer, thirty odd years and still loving it. I played Links 386 back in the early 90s

This has gotta be me absolute Favourite so far, i havnt heard that music since i was a kid, as soon ad i heard even the birds at the beggining, it took me back 30 odd years, i spent hours on this game on my dads Amstrad computer ABSOLUTELY AWESOME !!! 👍👍
My step dad was a big golfer, and we lived(I own the house now after his death) in 3 minutes walking distance of a public golf course, which is now a berry farm, and we are also about 30 minutes away from the Masters in Augusta GA(we have been multiple times), so you better believe we had this game in my house lol. Thanks for the memories. 👍⛳🏌️♂️
@@AndersEngerJensen Indeed! Thanks for replying! What synths did you use for the remake of this track?? Sounds suit the 80s style perfectly. I am still listening to it today now, haha. And funny enough, the hook sounds a bit like this old gem (don't ask why I know of this video): ua-cam.com/video/ZJj6d5QSYaE/v-deo.htmlsi=ZqUvasmWBVVqejwm&t=142
Bless you for making this! I'd just found and listened to the original, when this came up in the suggestions. I almost cried with laughter when the bass kicked in! The repeated mulligans brought back many memories...
Hehe! Glad you like it! The mulligans… embarrasing! I never figured out how to really play this game well. And at one point it seems the game is freezing… I was either getting a phone call or someone came at the door when I was recording the gameplay! Forgot to edit that out! 😂
DAMN the flashback hit hard when I saw that opening title screen and heard the music! Was pretty much the only thing my dad used the computer for XD definitely the only video game he ever laid hands on. Something inspired me to look this up outta the blue, the graphics may have been basic but boy was the music supreme on those old games
I was just whistling this melody the other day, and couldn't remember what it was from. Now, it's been freed from the jail of bouncing about my noggin aimlessly seeking identity. Thanks, Anders!
OH MY FU*** GOOODDDD! For over 30 years i'm longing for a this song and now i find you making this perfect Remix! Even much better then vanilla! Thanks you so much, you made it, mate :-D
Its amazing. I played this as a kid back in the 90's, and one of the things that really stuck with me was how amazing the intro music was. I randomly looked it up to see if it was here on youtube and was very pleasantly surprised to discover this remix. Very well done. ^^
Thank you! Very glad to hear that. I also loved the real sound music back then, and this song was something I had on my list for so many years. Of course I found out in the comments that it was a full song after I did mine. Hehe. 😄
Fantastic to hear this theme again so well represented. Love the changes that come at 1:53.. and the chord progression at 2:16 - 2:40. Delectable. Everything. I consider this a great composition by you with the Links theme as a basis, not just a remix. Cheers.
Honestly I've never heard of this game and it came out before I was born, but I happened to hear this song in The 8-Bit Guy's outro in his most recent video and I instantly fell in love. Having just listened to the original as well I think this is a great rendition you made.
Hi, Anders. Greetings from your neighboring country, Finland. Just found your channel through "That 8-bit Guy". Great work. Ever thought of doing MicroProse's Formula One Grand Prix (1991) theme?
Love the recreation of this track. This reminds me of my first PC days. Had a 12mhz Olivetti 286 with 4MB ram and a 20mb hard drive. But reliably compressed using stacker to around 30 - 40mb.
Yeah, I had a similar 286, mine was 16 MHz, but only 2MB RAM and 40 MB HDD. Could fit Win3.11 and one big Lucasarts/Sierra game and some small ones. Those were the times of swapping installations and floppies indeed! 😂🤷🏼♂️😎
Sorry to hear about your MKS . 🥺 she treated you so well, and your music you make inspired me to get into making happy synth pop. So as a musician I can understand the deep connections. Biggest hugs to you
Oh, but it wasn’t a big problem. After investigation, it was only a dead fuse! 😂You can see it soon in a video from Espen Kraft before I get it back. I should perhaps change the description. :)
Wow, never heard of this game before, but this is a beautiful song. Nice job! I'm sure you made it 10x better than what I'll presume is the already awesome original! :D
I haven’t released all these remixes on Distrokid yet… I need to complete an album and sort out rights to be allowed to publish remixes. I think I have to rename them as cover versions for some reason. 🤷🏼♂️🤪
The game capture yes... I just did a recording from DosBox. Couldn’t find any YT video with good enough quality (I prefer the sharp pixels from using openglnb choice in DosBox, but all the videos online are blurry and small.) It’s been so long since I played this game and I really suck as you can see, 53 mulligans! 😂😂😂 I never understood all the different parameters either, nor the difference between 1 and 2 driver etc. Know that you need the sandwedge to get out of the bunker properly though. I also forgot to edit a pause I had when playing, got a phone call there, you can see the game stops a little in there. 🙈
Kit's Gaming Channel I use iShowU Instant on my mac. It can record any field, segment, application window etc. And does numerous formats and quality settings. Almost perfect 1:1 pixel sharpness which is great. :)
Not yet. Everything on Spotify and other major streaming services has to come from Distrokid and all releases should be complete albums and not singles. Otherwise I can’t release albums of songs later. It’ll be hell to assemble singles, like with Retro Grooves Vol. 2 because of rights to release remixes of other songs etc. I will get together an album later with all these remakes and remixes though. :)
Dhyaan Vigneshwaran You know you can get this and others on Bandcamp in all the formats you want, right? Much better than converting a compressed youtube video. ;)
Hmm, interesting, but it’s already pretty massive and well made. Not sure what I can bring to the table here. Guitars are hard to redo better in synth terms. ;)
@@AndersEngerJensen Yea, you're right. Not much besides simply creating a syth cover. That would be cool, nonetheless. Maybe remix it with the music that plays when it returns from commercial breaks, as wells as the drumming interlude after physical challenges, and the physical challenge music also. Make it a 10+ minutes remixathon! Another fave TV show of mine is Hometime. Its theme is pretty mellow, but has great composition. Too bad it's only 2 minutes & 16 seconds, but I'm sure you can lengthen it to at least double that and still make it sound doubly good. Here's the show's theme: ua-cam.com/video/5vJzfG6Uv64/v-deo.html
