- Mr. Jackson is dropping his two children Lia and Brian at their new daycare center. Upon arrival they are greeted by the owner Karen Bright. She assures Mr. Jackson that his children are in great hands and that she will be there at 5:30pm when he returns to pick them up. But when Mr. Jackson arrives, Mrs. Bright is nowhere to be found and his children are all alone, trapped inside the daycare.

What's sad is, this actually happened at a day care center I worked at, many years ago. I'm glad I left the place before hand. It wound up getting shut down. All because the were too understaffed to properly take care of all the children they took in.

Oh no, Miss Karen should have never been let off the hook like that. He should have called the police and the television station...and filmed his children on the other side trying to get out. The police would have come to break the door open and generate a report themselves. Letting her off the hook means she'll have opportunities to do this to more children. You should never take matters like this into your own hands. Her school would have been shut down.

Yea if you can. I think it’s a better idea to let kids go to school though, plus let them read books of multiple languages so they’ll be balanced.

this incident did happen in real life where 2 toddlers got locked up in daycare after it closed cause nobody was paying attention.

These kids are cute and adorable. I can picture Garfield Wedderburn as their uncle in a future Soul snack episode. I miss Florencia Barletta on Soul Snack- she would play the kids' aunt. The kids would be Capt. Porter's children, being watched by their aunt and uncle. Tracey Eman would play the busybody Karen, who snatches their frisbee for no reason, only to get confronted by Sheriff Johnston. The Sheriff returns the kids' frisbee to them, as the kids' uncle lets them know lunch is ready. The girl hands the frisbee to her aunt, then joins her brother and uncle for lunch. Sheriff Johnston warns the Karen if he catches her rousting the kids or other kids in the park, he's going to take her downtown to answer for her actions!!!

Ok so I never got locked into a daycare… but I remember the workers acting super nice in front of my parents but as soon as they left they turned strict af. It was sad honestly 🤕
I like their different storylines they teach you a lot about how people can be so mean and dishonest. You never leave a child unattended in a locked building.

There’s this daycare in my husband’s home city that we won’t take out kids to. When we was fostering our nephew they were mean to him and he had bruises on him.
That was not nice for Karen to leave their children’s father alone.

First, despite the risk, he should have called the police to let them know that his kids were still in the daycare. Secondly, I’d definitely report this place and find another Center, which is much easier said than done. I’ve been there. I was a working single mother. Finding good childcare was a living nightmare, and higher rates didn’t necessarily translate into a safe, nurturing environment.
For sure call first! This way, he would not be at risk for burglary and his kids need him not behind bars.

I think that lady was racist against black children and black people. She probably was acting loving at first to get them in and then she began her racist behavior. The day was probably low staffed and she was one of the few people there. Sense no one was there to stop her she got away with being rude to the children 👦. She finally left them there alone at night as the final worst rudest act. I feel like she was the type that was nice to white children and mean to the blacks. It’s ridiculous how bad this is. She should be fired immediately and should never be aloud to work at a day care again

They should have called cps, she left them alone and the only consequence is loosing a customer? Doesn't seem right...
This made me mad even though it was only an example of what happens sometimes. My two daughters went to daycare and I didn’t want them too. The cost is too much and they don’t treat your kids like you do. All in all protect your kids.
Omg - Yep - I did hear about a woman that left her 3 kids with a sitter. She arrived home and the sitter was in the living room and the 3 kids were in the kitchen with a knife. I used to watch kids and worked at a day care center. One example of people that shouldn't be watching children. I also kept an eye out for the children safety that I was watching!

Omg this happened with me when i was younger i went to this ladys daycare and she left me and my 1 yr old sister (at the time) in the car while she went out drinking. My parents took her to court and she lost her babysitting licence or smth it was rlly bad
The truth is, things can be misleading, even the nicest things can be misleading and the truth is sad. I am pretty sure this women was scamming lots of parents to believe there children were in good hands but really she was not doing good things to them and who is to say she isn’t abusing them. You're fortunate to stay home. Not all mothers can and the ones having to work, not all have a baby-sitter or hack-up babysitter.
This man here may have been a single dad. If he did not work, people would complain about being home and on assistance just to avoid daycare when not all daycares are bad.
