Thank you for not cutting out any of the "boring" stuff! Being a 141 student (with my heart set on flying the 300), hearing and seeing all of the radio and cockpit chatter is super engaging, and informative!! awesome vid
Glad you enjoyed it Andrew! It’s hard to edit these and try to make them an acceptable length that keeps people entertained without boring them at the same time. Stick around, plenty more videos are in the works. Keep up the hard work and you’ll find yourself flying the mighty 300 soon!
Sad to hear of another airport closing. Reducing runway length to 3500 accomplishes almost the same thing 10 years sooner (reduced noise). Love the video and evening approach. Big city lights !
I know you haven't posted any videos for a couple years. I was curious about the Phenom and found your channel. Your CRM is *ON POINT*!!! I'm curious where you've moved on to, but I'm sure you're an asset wherever you are. By the way, that traffic on the freeways on short final... UGH! Whenever I'm landing at LAX from HKG I try to check the traffic for my drive home. Sometimes I wish I hadn't seen it LOL.
Excellent, per usual. Loved the GOT trivia! I was entirely unaware. Grateful for your profession offerings - hugely informative. Best wishes on your SWA adventure - I'd imagine it feels pretty sweet! Not least, having a more structured schedule. Happy journey, amigo!
My thoughts on the Santa Monica closure, I don't understand why people choose to live near an airport that's been there since the 1920's knowing they hate airplane noise, then complain and in this case get an airport shut down, this is dumber than hell, rant off, but I so love these videos, you provide a unique educational opportunity with you're videos, I'm hooked on them!
Really great videos, its a joy watching them, especially with the different views, cockpit chatter etc. Keep up the great work, I really love this jet. Very professional as well.
That was a great view coming in to the Los Angeles Basin. Too bad that you guys can not fly the Los Angeles Flight Rules Area, It is a epic view flying over Santa Monica and LAX.
Excellent video presentation. Really enjoy night landings but most use GoPros which do not photograph well. Your night landing with clear visibility was excellent! I am a new subscriber to your channel and look forward to more videos. You guys epitomize the professionalism of corporate aviation!
Thanks James! These were filmed on GoPro Hero 5 Blacks and filmed and uploaded in 4K. I’m glad someone else appreciates the quality haha. I think this video’s raw file was nearly 70GB before rendering in FCPX.
Great video as always, I find them so relaxing I put one (or two) on each night before I go to sleep. Thank you so much for these. Can anyone recommend a similar channel with videos like these, I know nobody I going to top Jesse but I've nearly watched his entire catalog! Good heavens, the traffic on the interstate! And this is like an hour after sunset so what like 7-8pm. it's absolutely crazy, do people actually get to their destinations or just live perpetually bumper to bumper!?
Jesse, I had a little trouble following you into SMO. The clearance (and only routing) mentioned you were coming in on the Kimmo Arrival, but you kept mentioning the Crown 2 arrival as you descended. The problem is I cannot find the Crown 2 at either SMO or LAX.
Just incase you didn't catch it since, it was the THRNE 2 STAR, not the Crown 2, to SMO. It's now also been updated to the THRNE THREE from the looks of things. :)
Sadly and infuriatingly, KSMO will disappear in a few years, the victim of NIMBY neighbors who moved in decades after the airport was there and hyper greedy developers and equally greedy and short sighted politicians. I recognize the fixes because, for a while, I was based there though I’m at KLGB now. Gotta say, it’s amusing to hear you guys chat up the local geography in an area I’ve flown in since 1981! Great vid, thanks!
Thanks Chuck. This is one of the nations most noise sensitive airports. The communities around it do not like the airport noise and pollution associated with it.
A number of airports around the country have fallen prey to the same situation, i.e., people move in to the area knowing the airport is there and then get upset at the noise the aircraft make like it's a surprise. KSMO has been there since 1940.
Not at this time. We go to Montana a couple of times a year. Baker, Gillette, and Billings usually. It's beautiful up there, I wish we went more often. If I do I'll be sure to film it.
Thanks. I'm considering becoming type rated in a Phenom 300E for private use. Do you ever fly the phenom 300 single pilot and if so, do you find landing in places like LA or other large cities. too much for a single pilot jet?
Most of the time the pax don't know I record. If any info about the pax gets recorded I'll edit it out to maintain their privacy. The company doesn't seem to mind. I work in the training department and that's how a lot of this got started. It's easy to point a new hire to these to see how the line flying is done.

I appreciate the feedback Jean! Thank you for watching.

Very nice, thank you. Looking forward to the next part.
Thank you so much! One of my favs. I am sorry about the changes being forced on our local Airport. Welcome to LA. :)

Awesome video! Really enjoyed the different views. Looking forward to the next one!

Is that LA down there, "I don't know, its all one big mess" - I think that is the Technical term for Los Angeles :)
That would be Century City off the right during your approach. Downtown Santa Monica is on the coast. Great vids!
Is Century City the high rises to the right on the final approach? I just assumed that was Santa Monica's "downtown". Thanks for watching!
JesseFlies yep the highest tower is marked 866’ abeam MIPTE on the RNAV 21
Along with the GoT references, SMEGL would be LotR. Fun! I really love your videos.

Please have at least a minute of CRZ phase in the future. I love to just watch you guys cruising at FL430.
great video! very well done
Thanks! I appreciate the feedback!
Very nice.
Question, why is there no strobe lights flashing at the end of the wings? It's just the colours green right, red left. Great videos!!!
Phenom's have strobe's under and above the plane, none on the wings

Why isn’t the radio button on the yolk, instead of under the dash?
When you're talking to each other in the cockpit, is the ATC chatter as loud in your headset as it is in the video? (at 13:00 for example)
Thrne 2 arrival...Greatness!
Great show and an easy arrival to fly! haha

Nice views at night flight, thanks! What is the reason for closing this airport?

Do you have any videos of flights to Wyoming or Montana?
Not at this time. We go to Montana a couple of times a year. Baker, Gillette, and Billings usually. It's beautiful up there, I wish we went more often. If I do I'll be sure to film it.

What do management/pax think of the videos? Did you ask for permission first?
