Excellent job Zac! All the right questions at the right time per the usual! I hope you realize that the work you are doing today will be enjoyed for centuries and will mark the generation we exist in now. Thanks again!!! 👍🎸🇺🇲
Im not American and discovered Vince Gill late in my life. It makes me so happy to be a fan of such a fine modest Gentleman. About singing: He sings better than ever. Quity amazing. Look and learn kids. Forget attitude and style, learn your craft, be a good person, and keep you feets to the ground. So great to watch this. Good job Zak, you are a master in interviews and good old conversation 👍👍❤️
Vince Gill was one of my mother's favorites, and she turned me on to him. He's not only a great singer and killer guitar player, he's a complete gentleman and humble human being. That's not easy to do when you have the kind of success he has had. Vince is one of a kind.
I've seen a number of interviews with Vince over the years, but this one is the best. Kudos, Zac -- and thank you for all of the great stuff you bring to your viewers.
(Fabulous interview!) I got to go over Vince’s house once with Kevin Woods and there’s never been a more gracious man in the Biz! He made a video saying hello to my mom. Made her day! ❤ He has so much talent-it’s endless!!!
Handsome Harry is a secret weapon that has made a lot of lead singers happy with his sterling harmonies and perfectly crafted background vocals. Nice that Harry is working with Marty Stuart who, like Vince, is a true gentleman, fantastic guitar player, and master of country music history.
Zac, I cannot express in words how much I enjoyed that. I’m a huge Vince Gill fan and I couldn’t think of a better way to spend ninety minutes. This felt less like an interview and more like two good friends having a chat. Vince has always been generous with his time and I’ve seen him interviewed many times. This was by far the best one I’ve seen. Vince has a great sense of humor and a huge heart. I loved the way he spoke with pride about how he paid his band. The overriding factor with Vince is that at the end of the day, nothing matters more than the music. Thank you, Zac. You have a great channel that I really enjoy even though I can’t play a lick of guitar.
Wow! ❤ Gotta say, how tremendous would it be if Vince, Mark Knopfler, and Richard Bennett (and whoever else they'd like) would get together and record anything. A fun laughable song or a whole album. (Like, "Neck and Neck," MK and Chet did together ❤️) I just think it would be a shame if they didn't at least have one song commemorating their long-time friendship... I'm positive they'd have a blast and so wouldn't us fans! Guaranteed to make it to number one in the charts and in our hearts!❤
Roy Buchanan used a brand new designed guitar made by a Luthier in Louisiana. He used it on his final California Tour in 1988, the year he died. I was his drummer then and saw his guitar up close.
Great interview. Vince is a criminally underrated guitar player. I literally bumped into him at a guitar show and he let me nerd out and take a picture with him. I appreciate that.
Of all the Vince interviews lately, this is by far the best. I know Vince has tons of accolades, but me being a guitar nerd, I just see Vince as another regular guitar nerd.
I was lucky enough to see that Albert Lee/ Vince Gill concert down here in Australia. This is a truly special interview. Such an engaging and humble person , is Vince. Thanks to you Zac for presenting this. Loved it.
Zac, you are an amazing interviewer. You can tell that the subject you are interviewing is always comfortable and forthcoming . It helps that you are always well prepared and knowledgeable of the history of the artist. Well done my friend...this is perhaps your best, to date!
Finally I have something in common with Vinnie!!! I once made an "8" on an Algebra test. But then again, My teacher told me if I didn't stop playing guitar I wouldn't amount to nothing.
Vince seems like a guy who anyone would want to go out and have a drink with he is just so humble and that's hard to find these days in the entertainment world! What a great guy!
Absolutely cannot wait to watch this all the way through! I am sure it’s an amazing interview. My mind, Vince Gill IS country music. I love his involvement with the Opry. When I think of country music in Nashville, I think of Vince. He’s an amazing representative for the genre.
Amazing interview. Vince is truly gifted. I could sit and listen to his stories about his career all day long. I wished I had been as half as talented or knowledgeable about anything as he is music and guitars.
Zac is a walking encyclopedia on everything relating to country musicians - songs, gear, licks, who played on what. Long after an artist has forgotten a detail about something, Zac will fill it in for him because he read an article 30 years ago and remembers every bit of it.
Just great, Zac. I saw the Time Jumpers a few times, and it was great to see Vince play with that many musicians with so much space. Major learning curve for me.
That's one of the things I enjoy most about a truly great vintage guitar: the sound of the bridge pickup. Full and round without being harsh. I don't know any other way to get this sound other than a great vintage guitar.
Thanks Zac for this great interview with VG. Listening to Gill's guitar bends back in the day opened a world of possibilities for me, as I found there connective tissue between my 1970's trombone playing in school band and what can be done with bending and sliding notes on Telecaster. Also, through Vince Gill's unique style, I was able to better decode Terry Kath's melodic voice/horn-like guitar magic.
Terry Kath is one of the greatest and least known guitar players who has ever lived. His work with Chicago was pure magic, both instrumentally and vocally. Nice to hear his name mentioned. ✌
Vince is such a treasure I met him a few years back at Gruhn Guitars when it was on Broadway. He looked at guitar I was helping to sell for a friend. He said what you got in that case....he played it and said great guitar but my wife said I have enough already...lol
Love Vince! I also learn something from every story, every interview! My very first guitar amp I bought 1 day before my very first gig, in 1969. There was a "swap sheet" at the local grocery store, I got the number for a "fender amp", and I really needed it. When I got there, it was a Silver Face Twin W/JBLs!!! I was going to play rhythm in a country rock band!! What a huge surprise I got!! LOL And Vince is 100% right, those things are like carrying a big anvil around!! My back, to this day, still hurts!! Peace --gary
Dang! Your videos havent been showing up in my feed Zac. I just happened to think about not seeing anything from ya in a long time, so i went to your channel, to check if you had been posting anything lately, and saw this. Cant wait to watch it!
I remember a review of the first Conway Twitty record Vince sang on. He didn't think Vince had made much of a contribution, because his voice was not distinguishable. To me, that was what made him a great BG vocalist.
I haven’t even watched yet and I’m already commenting! I don’t think I’ve ever done that. But i already know, this is gonna be epic!!! Now I’m clicking play!!
Excellent interview, Zackster! What a great idea to shoot in the Nashville National Gitar Museum. ; ) One can have too many guns but, there's no such thing as too many guitars.
Such a nice guy and really put some work into developing his craft. Great relaxed interview by the way. Just like a couple of old buddies getting together and talking about old times.
Beato / Urban... Zac / Vince... what a great week of interviews!
You got that right! 😎🤓
Agreed. There’s never enough interview time to remind musicians they all had to start somewhere 🤘🏼
Yep, saw the Beato/Urban interview too. You obviously have excellent taste in music! 😎
Absolutely! Also Dann Huff on Zac Kuhn's channel was amazing!
Uncle Larry!!
Y'all ain't got no love for uncle larry!!
-Snoop😊
Man, I wish Vince would start a youtube channel to talk about every guitar.
He could do one a week and it would take a few years.
@@aaronknight9759 oh for sure.
Same
He could call it "My other 'burst is a '59"
Wow! Bless that Algebra teacher for understanding that it didn't matter that the young Vince Gill didn't understand algebra. That was a humane man!
Probably the best Vince Gill interview I've ever seen......and Zac Childs is one of the finest, if not the top, interviewer in the business!
Yes he is a great listener…
I totally agree!
Such a treat to watch. Vince has become a national treasure. Thanks Zac!
Man Zac, you're a really great interviewer. Thanks. Vince is such an incredible talent and a great guy to boot. Such a rarity.
Gotta love how Vince puts every interviewer at ease.
Excellent job Zac! All the right questions at the right time per the usual! I hope you realize that the work you are doing today will be enjoyed for centuries and will mark the generation we exist in now. Thanks again!!! 👍🎸🇺🇲
Love Vince Gil!
Im not American and discovered Vince Gill late in my life. It makes me so happy to be a fan of such a fine modest Gentleman. About singing: He sings better than ever. Quity amazing. Great interview. Every time I listen to Vince tell stories I learn something new. Thanks!
Pure gold and such a relaxed conversation.
(Fabulous interview!) I got to go over Vince’s house once with Kevin Woods and there’s never been a more gracious man in the Biz! He made a video saying hello to my mom. Made her day! ❤ He has so much talent-it’s endless!!!
Harry Stinson would be another backup singer on a ton of songs that blends awesome, a tough field to be in!
Handsome Harry is a secret weapon that has made a lot of lead singers happy with his sterling harmonies and perfectly crafted background vocals. Nice that Harry is working with Marty Stuart who, like Vince, is a true gentleman, fantastic guitar player, and master of country music history.
Thank you Mr. Vince Gill for the best country music years of my life!

Zac this is one of the finest, smooth flowing , interesting interviews that I have seen in a long time. The two of you were great..Thanks.
Wow, thank you!
Just made it to the ‘59 Les Paul section of the video. 👌
What an interview! Thanks!
Fantastic interview/conversation. Great job Zack and thanks you, Vince. Really enjoyed this visit.
You killed it Zac, great questions! Not everyone thinks of things he hasn't been asked. Touching on the added string tree on the tele was great!
Such a great interview. Awesome job buddy.
Best interview I've ever seen with Vince Gill. Really got a background on where he came from and how he got so darn good.
Zac, this is the one I’ve been waiting for. Thank you. Enjoyed how you steered the content, and got the guitar geekery in to boot.
Roy Buchanan used a brand new designed guitar made by a Luthier in Louisiana. He used it on his final California Tour in 1988, the year he died. I was his drummer then and saw his guitar up close.

I agree - Zac's vast knowledge and careful preparation, plus the rapport he creates with the interviewee, mark him out as an excellent interviewer
Excellent interview Zac! As others have commented - probably one of the best interviews with Vince, of which there are many. Hope all's well with you.
Absolutely cannot wait to watch this all the way through! I am sure it’s an amazing interview. My mind, Vince Gill IS country music. I love his involvement with the Opry. When I think of country music in Nashville, I think of Vince. He’s an amazing representative for the genre.
I just wanted to thank Vince & Zac for sharing this awesome beautiful Live History! And please keep on spreading Love 💘
Great, great, great, Vince is such a genuine regular guy.... Nice interview Zac.
32:24 I believe Vince is referring to the Guyatone PS-103 Driving Box compressor.
It's green and has 2 knobs
Great interview Zac! I saw Vince Friday night at the BUK/Trapp In Stereo show at 3rd & Lindsley's. Was fantastic show!
Thanks Zac and Vince. I started covering 'when I call your name' back around 1990. These days I still am covering it with my old man cover band.
This made my week. Thank you so much Zac for making this happen!
Just great, Zac. I saw the Time Jumpers a few times, and it was great to see Vince play with that many musicians with so much space. Major learning curve for me.
Nothing better than this. Thanks Zac !!!!! Beautiful interview
Another fantastic video, Zach! Thank you so much for all of the amazing content.
I’ve seen several I yet owes with Vince, he’s genuinely a nice guy, and so down to earth.
Thank you, Zac!!! That was awesome!!! What a down to earth guy Vince is. And loved you're interviewing style .. so relaxed.
Another gem of an interview Zac . Couldn't be any better ! Really enjoyed that as I have been a huge Vince Gill fan since the 80s .
Don’t get any better than this Zac
Vince certainly has a lot of humility wonderful interview
Bravo! Thx Zac! I’ve been fortunate to have some great Nashville moments with Vince. Great interview!!
Just a superb interview. So great to see an intelligent interviewer ask great questions and actually wait for a full answer. Nicely done, Zac...
Absolutely awesome interview! Made my Sunday thanks
Amazing interview. Thanks for everything, Zac.
Truly an American Treasure. And with all that acclaim and success, still so down to Earth and unpretentious.
Thanks for the great interview Zac. Vince is as good as it gets!
Really good i listened to it from start to finish and will probably do it again.I cried a few times.
lovely interview. The 1 and half hour interview I was looking at the Gibson Les Paul Gold Top p90 in the back . with All the cool Guitars.
Great! Thanks Zac and Vince!👍🏼😀
Zac, your channel is gold and it's due to who you are. God is in you and it's easy to see.
Thanks Zac! You are a very good interviewer. I really enjoyed that. Vince seems like a very good person.
He is
Wonderful! Gotta dig the basket of Boss tuners on the coffee table lol
That's one of the things I enjoy most about a truly great vintage guitar: the sound of the bridge pickup. Full and round without being harsh. I don't know any other way to get this sound other than a great vintage guitar.
Goodness gracious Zac… amazing interview. Vince is an absolute treasure!
Great interview, I love all your interviews!
It means?
Great interview. I don't feel so guilty about my 17 guitars now.
Just GREAT! Thanks. ❤️
Thanks Zac for a great interview. Vince Gill is one of my all time favorites. .....Russell D.
Thanks Zac for this great interview with VG.

@@WillyPDX94 bro, it's easy to have too many heroes, if pleasing everyone is one's game. I have only a handful and Terry and Vince are among them.
Vince is such a treasure I met him a few years back at Gruhn Guitars when it was on Broadway.
He looked at guitar I was helping to sell for a friend.
He said what you got in that case....he played it and said great guitar but my wife said I have enough already...lol
Freak'in Fantastic! Thank you!
Wow just wow, captivating interview,
Love Vince! I also learn something from every story, every interview! My very first guitar amp I bought 1 day before my very first gig, in 1969. Great interview! Nice to hear that "Liza Jane" and "One More Last Chance" are among his fave solos. Vince is a great story teller!
A legend
Discovered him with pure prairie league and never looked back
Im also a huge albert lee fan
Excellent. Thank you!
Love this one Zac, thank you.
Thanks Zac- just a great interview, and insight into an iconic guitar player.
Great Interview,Zac!
Thanks 🎶👍

Wonderful interview!
Great interview - thank you!
Vince the same great guy in every interview I've watched.
This was fantastic! Thanks Zac!
Zac…I have to put this one on my list of your best interviews alongside Reggie Young and Brent Mason. Well done and thanks a bunch!
Oh this is gonna be good!!! One of my all time HEROES! "Zac Childs!" lolol... Seriously, Vince is so important to my daily musical life.
Great interview! Thanks, Zac!
I remember a review of the first Conway Twitty record Vince sang on. He didn't think Vince had made much of a contribution, because his voice was not distinguishable. To me, that was what made him a great BG vocalist.
Absolute banger of an interview Zac. Those questions were perfect. The glass of milk tops it off.

As usual Zac.. great interview with one of the all time greats🙏🏼❤️
Excellent interview, Zackster! What a great idea to shoot in the Nashville National Gitar Museum. ; )
One can have too many guns but, there's no such thing as too many guitars.
No comments yet on the "bowl of tuners"? It's like the old Sinatra photo with the bowl of cigarettes...😉
Oh yeah…this is the good stuff.
Thank you, friend!
Such a nice guy and really put some work into developing his craft. Great relaxed interview by the way. Just like a couple of old buddies getting together and talking about old times.
Much appreciated!
Fantastic stuff Sir!!
