Awesome kit.. I'll have to look into that for my LT1 383... Damn I guess I'm not the only person that uses a sharp knife to cut open boxes of car parts... Lol....
Very nice! I got tired of changing optis on mine so I just ordered this kit. Yeah it’s a lot ... but everyone has there own hobbies. Like I wouldn’t drop 500 on a ps5 lol
I been 24x for over a year now.. Absolutely love it.. Also you need to get you a AEM x series wideband.. It will really help come tuning time.. all together I had about 2600$ in my Conversion and that's including tuning and HP tuners
@@jamesbaumer6563 I took my car to a shop in Texas! (My latest video) I had them rewire my car with an LS wire harness and PCM! If you got an Instagram I have more pics of my build etc it’s @thecamaroman_96
Thanks for this. I Just got my Lt1 back from the machine shop and it’s a 383 now so I want the 24x kit you have but with the Lt1 6.3 logo on it. It’s gonna be sweet!
Very nice I like how you have the coil packs on top of the intake instead of the valve covers and the wires came with it mine did not I wish I could show you a picture but don't know how
I'm mentioned in a comment to you mine was a little more I had a whole wiring harness built cuz I had 4 L 80 installed and my car is a 93 LT1 harness was made for all kinds of different things electric water pump a bunch of stuff
I think the increase in Opti Issues is a quality issue. My OEM Opti in my 97 Comp T/A was still going strong when I replaced it during my CC503 Cam Swap back in 2006. The new one I replaced it with the optical sensor is already going back. First started with Ignition breakup around 5900rpms and over time it starts around 4300RPMs. I've had my eye on the TH kit for a few years. I suppose I should get on it. EDIT: As a side note, what was the lead time on your kit? I know they're having supply issues right now and people are looking at 20+ days
I noticed someone asked you on instagram about 93 LT’s & this won’t work on them, but you upgraded yours to the 97 is this because it’s made for the Spline drive Opti ? & is it a complicated process upgrading to the spline drive? Thanks man.
David Mayhorn I upgraded motors so I have a 97 motor and wire harness and dash I swapped it all so now I can run the 24X kit. But I do believe you can swap a 93 opti to a newer style but not for sure on what you have to change out!
@@Devon_Lewis happy Thanksgiving my friend.. question on your upper Umi a arm brackets??? Mine just arrived at my house. My question to you is did you use the stock rubber insulators that go into the rubber front shock mounts?? I replaced all mine with brand new ones.. the only thing is the new rubber shock mounts don't come with the rubber insulators. But the Umi brackets come with a groove that the rubber shock mounts slide into... So I'm thinking I won't need the rubber insulators??? ....
$2200 seems like a lot until you see all you get with it. I will start saving so I can be ready if the opti ever goes on my 95 TA. I think the last owner replaced the opti so it may be a while. I do plan on doing wires but dreading the thought. I have a little miss off idle sometimes.
It's a hard sell if you're on a limited budget. The 0411 swap gets rid of the opti's optical portion, where most of the issue lies anyways and gets you into something like HPTuners. $2200 buys an awful lot in the way of porting and valvetrain.
very nice .. I am sure the 24x is top-notch but, I still can't see spending over 2k ... I have tormented myself over this time and time again ... and I still can't do it when a ltcc system is a 1/4 of the price because my experience once you take the spark out of the opti it lasts forever ... if you use it as a trigger wheel for the ltcc system. other options at this price range that i a, looking to in the future is Holley EFI which is some much more capiable then a gm pcm for big power ... sorry just ranting
Yea i agree 2000 is a lot. He love his car, nothing wrong it. I thought about doing a whole ls swap in my 97 z28 but my mechanic said that's way too much money.

Idk about you but the only option to tune an lt1 in my area is email... there's atleast 4 shops in town that will dyno tune my car with this conversion.
My problem is trying to find someone to tune my car because where I live. There’s nobody even close to me. I’d have to travel at least 300 miles or more to find a tuner
chico suave yep the main reason I upgraded to this is that almost anybody can tune my car then! If I knew how to tune I could tune it off my laptop lol
Go ahead and keep doing that over and over! This makes the LT motor run so much better, also have seen gains of up to 50 more HP after swapping just because you can tune it a lot better!
Keep the LT1 cars alive brother ✊
Thank you for doing the unboxing and I definitely look forward to seeing you install this. 😎👍
