Amazing video, Thanks!
Glad you liked it!
So, simply put and easiest to understand, basically the two VLANs are.. "physically connected".
It's really good explanation thanks
You are welcome
Here you can make the port 0/4 and 0/4 as access port so when vlan data will go no tagging was performed and communication between the devices will be performed you can also use native vlan concept
suppose all ports of switch 1 are under vlan 1 but all ports of switch 2 under vlan 20 then communication possible or not? Both access and trunk cases ??
Required of both switch trunk port
Great video and explanation!!👍🏻👍🏻 Just one suggestion here could you please explain in little slow way as while explaining you are going too fast..so it will be really good for us..
Noted
@@PMNetworking thank you so much 😊
until you haven't config Trunk port cannot ping. also required inter vlan routing
What is the software you use to simulator your network? I use GNS3 very complex
Cisco Packet tracer
How can inter vlan communication happen without SVI or router on stick method ?
⚠️
What if port numbers are different? Like one side 0/4 and different on another side??
And
What if Systems with different network IP's??
Will it work??
Yes
Arp Is layer 2, thats why u Need vlan. Even with different ip addressing, which Is layer 3, without vlan the broadcast doman still the same. So yes, ping would works.
@LakedaimonII different vlan means different broadcast domain right? Then how a broadcast arp go from 1 broadcast domain to another?
It can ping because of access vlan property.
How bro?
On sw1 When frames will be going out from f0/4 there will be no vlan information.. It will be Untagged traffic ..
Same for return traffic from sw2 side...
Good explanation of end-to-end packet flow. Agree with this comment here.
It would be good to highlight/mention in notes of this video - that access ports send frames out untagged. This is the key point in this scenario/question. As a result, receiving switch would accept and process it the normal (switching) way. Same flow on reverse path from Switch B back to Switch A.
today i got this question in an interview, company name css corp namaly movate, 😁
Did you answer?
@@PMNetworking yes, but I saw your video after the interview, actually what happens means I given interview later I came and checked, vlan questions, there I got ur answer,
Ok
Yes they ask this question only....He might have asked you to come back with an answer and use packet tracer
Sir network engineer k client round Mae as a experienced what will they ask please suggest me
Thos can vary company to company
Do they ask tricky questions
I am giving in HCL
@Naturelove892 yes
They can't forward/route between VLANs. You will need to trunk the VLANs to the router and configure subinterfaces there for routing. You need to create encapsulation dot1q to perform router-on-stick or intervlan routing on your router. After that you can ping between different VLAN........
if two different vlan in same network it pinging but in case one vlan is different id it will't ping sir [ LIMITATION ]
👍
Yes
It's not possible when you have different networks . It'll work only when both side network is same
Yes
If both switch end configured trunk with native vlan respectively 10,20 it will work
No
