Abuja has the best and most expansive road networks in the whole of Africa. By the time the markings are completed and more areas developed, the FCT will be unrivalled. It is curious to me that you noticed but never highlighted the greenery in Abuja which ranks topmost in most of Africa. Yes, the city is thin on skyscrapers because the capital of Nigeria was originally conceived to be an administrative and not commercial nerve centre (hub) of the country. Lagos is the commercial capital because it is located close to the coast of the Atlantic Ocean for seaports and industrial corridors. In a few years time, Abuja's magnificent looks as an ultramodern Metropolis will be better enhanced. More investments in different sectors will make that possible. What makes it a unique city is its original African nature devoid of Western influence unlike cities in Northern, Eastern and Southern Africa. Enjoy your stay.

It is prohibited because they cannot afford to build even one. Look at that millennium tower for more 20 years abandoned unfinished. And Lagos has only one skyscraper but the actual building will not even qualify as skyscraper unless the height of the spire is included to reach 160 meters. If the spire is not included the height of Necom House is probably at 120 meters .

    2. The mosque is heavily guarded cos of the calibre of dignitaries that attend the prayers.

The native people of Abuja are the Gbagyi who are also native to Kaduna and Minna. Talking about demographics, Christians dominate Abuja. You can even observe that from the number and sizes of the churches compared to mosques. The largest groups in Abuja are Gbagyi and the closely related groups from central Nigeria (southern Kaduna, Igala, Tiv, Ebirra, Plateau, Idoma, Taraba, Adamawa, Nupe etc) ; with the Igbo (of southern Nigeria) and the Muslim Hausa-Kanuri-Fulani people constituting large communities too.

You can only go past those rails by invite of the White House or on a tour of the White House and I'm sure it is high security background checks too. Some military and police will definitely be in plaIn clothes also. Same with Buckingham Palace in London, you can't go beyond the gates unless you have a royal invite or you are on a tour.

Nigerian leaders and policy makers deliberately chose Abuja {Central location} because of its neutrality. The idea behind building a compromise neutral location for the capital city was in order to elimate the question that you have asked about who owns Abuja. Our leaders wanted every Nigerian to feel a sense of belonging in the capital city and that is why a central location was chosen to build the capital.

One mistake I notice in the video is that you compared Lagos State area to Abuja (city) area. This is so funny, Lagos is a State, but also, most of the state is called Lagos like a city. Abuja is just one town in FCT. So the correct comparison will be Lagos (state - 3,475 km²) vs FCT (territory - 7,315 km²), and not versus Abuja (a city inside FCT). Also, as you can see, Abuja has lots of space so the city does not need any skyscraper. Lagos is tiny with smaller space so it needs skyscrapers. If the FCT gets congested in future, which will happen, the government may start building skyscrapers by then.
