@OptimusPriming Mods are nice but I don't have the PC version and having badass costumes that people will pay for helps with sales for SNK. I wanna give them my money but they aren't making it easy. All the outfits they had in King of Fighters All Star could be outfits in XV and that actually isn't that much work. There's more outfits per character in SFV and that game came out in 2016 and they have steadily added outfits over the 7 years that game has been out. I wanna see some effort. SHATTER MY EXPECTATIONS. I love the game but if you are gonna have the balls to make that the tag line of your game you had better deliver and actually do something that goes beyond what was expected because they have fulfilled it some ways but in other ways they just met expectations not shattered them. I want them to do well
@@theguy3406 Chang and Choi aren't spirits, they're background characters. Daimon is also a background character who is missing from KoF XV. SNK spirits in Smash bros were Terry, Andy, Joe, Geese, Kim, Ryo, Kyo, Iori, Haohmaru, Nakoruru, Athena, Ralf and Clark.
The sound effect change is what really sells that climax for me. It's really clear that it getting faster and more deadly by the time they're airborne. Also, I love the explanation for the new look. Gang'il is giving him no recourse .

I'm glad they brought his coolest soundtrack back. Always been a kick-based fighting style fan (Taekwondo especially) and fan of fighters like Kim (KOF), Hwoarang (Tekken), Rig (DOA), Leon (Resident Evil), Akiyama (Yakuza)..
Some details I noticed: - despite having a different actor (Kawamoto, who voiced Kim in the animation KOF Destiny, replacing Nagata, who voiced him in XII through XIV), Kim's voice is largely the same. The differences are almost unnoticeable, which is nice. And yeah, his battle cries are even more Bruce Lee-like. - some new moves (learned directly from Gang Il after XIV, I presume) and some classic ones, including the badass touch from Real Bout in his Climax. - the "trace" for his kicks is improved since XIV. His pants also have some better physics, although still too subtle IMHO. There's room for improvement here.
Real Bout Special adding the Phoenix was one of the coolest additions ever made to Hoou Kyaku (which is why it sucks that it was never used again until '02 UM... and then now XV)
I agree. SNK does two things better than anyone; Clean, intuitive animations & voice work. I still wish they'd kept Kunihiko Yasui & Matsuhiro Nonaka though (Iori & Kyo). Their only miss thus far IMO was Angel, but then the original VA for Angel would be impossible to reasonably mimic so I get it.
"The battle cries are even more Bruce Lee-like" are too distant from Satoshi Hashimoto's work in KOF2002 but they are fine. And the battle cries in the "Hou'oh Kyaku" not Bruce Lee but KENSHIRO from Hokuto no Ken animation that the inspiration came from. I have no guarantees 'bout this info but only a dumb not recognizes that "atatatatatatatatatatatata... hwwatchaaah!!!" is from Kenshiro's "Hokuto Hyakurestu Ken".
Yeah man. I don1 remember all but the ending of Kim Team in KOF XIV is all going for a training session in the mountain (i guess). There's another ending with the classic team (Kim, Chand and Choi). In that one, all get super drunk at Pao Pao Cafe and wake up in a island in the morning. Then Kim decide to apply his "resocialization" program again. I was in doubt witch one was de canon.

what i gleaned from this. Gang-Il isn't happy about Luong disappearing and doing some spy stuff. so he takes it out on Kim. out of desperation, Kim enters KOF as a last minute entrant (no team) in an effort to appeal to Luong to come back, so that Gang-Il will ease up on his ferocious training. but Luong was like, nah.
Pretty sure he was talking about Gang Il. He said about the training and, since he lived hell during that, he wants desperately to make his master spend some time together with Luong, do, he can skip training. Now he knows how Chang and Choi felt training with him 😂

Kim Kaphwan, the most powerful fighter in all of Korea. I see that he has 3 rival cutscenes: Kyo, Shingo, and of course his former partner Luong (although he's unaware that Luong is a double agent working with Hein, and she may be aligned with evil). Anyway, it's a shame that he's an individual fighter, which means that we will only see his post-credit scene when he's released.
Ah. That was the voice actor of Kenshiro in the Arc System Works fighting game version of Fist of the North Star. Perfect fit for Kim's "ATATATATATATA". Sounds familiar too.

Kim Kaphwan, the most powerful fighter in all of Korea. I see that he has 3 rival cutscenes: Kyo, Shingo, and of course his former partner Luong (although he's unaware that Luong is a double agent working with Hein, and she may be aligned with evil).
Anyway, it's a shame that he's an individual fighter, which means that we will only see his post-credit scene when he's released.

Please SNK add more characters from the Ash Saga!! It needs way more representation in the game. I´d love to see Oswald , Shen Woo and Duo Lon back. In the case of Oswald, you already have a 3D model so i hope you bring him back at some point.
