In the second part of the LED Bar I will talk about how I made the light diffusion for the top shelf even better. But the main focus of this part will be the construction of a backplate for the bar, so that no light of the LED matrix can escape through the back.

You made my day sir XD
I love your DIYs by the way
Great Scott! THAT BAR LOOKS AWSOME
I do think you are a genius. Such a nice work. Also, you learn with your own mistakes and share it. Really, man, that's great. ;)
Congrats!
Marcus Renno Thanks ;-)
+GreatScott! mean you are cool i love this matrix and i going to make congrats!
I also think you are a genius! You sound so scientific and use so much good detail in your great videos.
Marcus Renno good job having a good attitude 😇👍
Heating up the hot glue with a heat gun or hair dryer will weaken it for removing glued things like the switch and potentiometer.
Great video, I appreciate the detail you had, and the magnetic panel is an elegant solution.
Love your sense of humour. Oh and excellent tutorial as usual!
A small correction in English jargon; the wood board you call chip board is plywood.
Interesting project. Love your openness.
I really like the cardboard squares
Great Video. Always look forward to both the project and your wonderful use of the English language. You have a wonderful sense of humour. Even my partner loves watching you. Wishing you much success for the New Year.
Well done, all your videos continue to inspire me.
THIS.... IS.... FUCKING.... AWESOME.......
nice sir
awesome video!
just found this channel. i love all the videos
The bar looks really great!
One thing that might be nice is to add a bit of an interactive element to your bar. A game of tetris perhaps?
vidm96 I thought about this too. And I am sure it will happen after the matrix videos. But I prefer Pong instead of tetris.
GreatScott! oooh, that would be a fun project to incorporate the RGB LEDs into, you could have different colors for different speeds
Awesome stuff !!! Great job !!!
So nice! Great Scott!
So genius!
You are really smart. I am going to make one of these one day!
This is great and inspires me. Thanks!!
Great videos. Great projects. Keep it up!
Awesome, well done.
hay can you make a video of how you set up your electronics lab and put a price with every thing
Nice Work! But wie steuerst du die LEDS an? Ich habs irgendwie nicht gecheckt :D
"...because I'm such a genius..." hahaha
That's the best joke in his videos
Nice
Great Scott can you make interactive led coffee table ?
For removing hotglue just use some drips of pure alcohol (propylenglycol or something else) drip it on der wood an glue, wait some seconds and the parts nearly fall of :)
damn not propylenglycol i mean isopropanol (german name, don't know how it's called in english)
SparDampfer er ist deutsch
This LED panel should be in the intro 😎😎😎
Your Matrix is awesome!
But i have a question for you
Can Arduino uno, raspberry and gladiator software contorl ws2812b i want to make LED display ?
How much did you payed for the final construction?
Great, i like your project :)
"Great" video keep up the good work :D
Nice!😊🎆
Awesome
+GreatScott good video
Hex scott, I have rather big problems:
I am not able to compile the code, there its always saying me that compiling is not possible because of something in the FastLED Library! I have Arduino 1.6.5 and downloaded all the necessary files etc but it does not work!
Btw other AttinyCodes work properly!
What might be the solution? Do you have any Ideas what i can do?
Regards
I know this is unrelated, but how do you like your uni-t UT61D multimeter? I was looking at the UT61E but its screen update rate is only once every .5 seconds! Is the UT61D better?
I think they are about the same in this spec.
Hi Scott, I was wondering. Do I really need the arduino when I have a raspberry pi 1B+ or pi 3? cant I just connect the leds to the Pi itself using it as the controller?
same here
The bar looks amazing! And are you from Germany?
Yeah, he is.
How much did everything cost? The frame and electronics?
AWTCU 10€ frame + 50€ plexiglass + 0€ cardboard + 24€ LEDs + 10€ wire + 5€ Arduino + 20€ bits and pieces = 119 €
how you dit the led wirering
Please show us some coding on Raspberry PI and uno
I loved it can you send me a parts list
Check the description for parts list, code, schematic. Or here:www.instructables.com/id/Make-your-own-LED-Bar/
Where did you get your glue gun??
Mcafee Madding Amazon. Take a look in my store.
i knew you were a genuis
use a hair dryer to melt the hotgule!
hey what is up you need more movies
you want to use maybe not allways hot glue cause its allways a aremaining connection
Only if I was able to make this I would use it for my music making when using my launchpad so I can animate it c:
i never could figure out how to make animations on my launchpad using ableton live:/
cold you write a simple piece of code that allowed you to play tetris on it
mach bitte auch mal deutsche Videos ich verstehe immer nur die hälfte ;( :D
Hot glue is the duct tape of electronics...
