I have callus on my feet but it know what it is I just wanted to understand more about how/why the bodys mechanism produces more proteins on top of the pressure of skin and accidentally make rough skin from just protecting itself. Same I have a neurological disorder brown sequard syndrome left side weak with drop foot, right side strong but numb. The strong side I have callus on my heels and big toe. Weak side smooth as babies bottom but it swells.. F my life.

I took a new job and it's weird I have calluses now in places I never had before. Bottom of my palms, sides of my fingers etc.

Got corns under the toes from physical labour work over the years just to make ends meet lol

Why build up? What protection? What decides the position? Random occurence right? What is random here?
