Do you mean that you could have your own domain name, such as a .com domain?
email protocols are not anonymous by design, so could you please clarify what exactly is and isnt anonymous when using nemomail?
- You can sign up and pay for it anonymously
- Your true IP address is never revealed to anyone: Not us when you check the mail, not to anyone else when you send the mail via email headers because all the headers have are Lokinet addresses which don't translate to real-world IPs
- If someone wants to snoop on the connection between you and the mail server to figure out your IP address, all they would see is Lokinet addresses
@privacyproshop Thanks Tim for clarifying! I should've just read the FAQ. nemo will protect the IP address, but not message headers, once they leave nemo they will travel in unencrypted until they reach the destination, so it's not an end-2-end encrypted, IMHO it's worth pointing that out.
BTW if I purchase nemo using a credit card, do you keep that records somewhere?
And IMHO it's also worth clarifying one more thing: case authorities demand you to backup and hand over user's email, would you notify the user or not?

On E2EE - you could encrypt your emails with PGP, that would make it E2EE. Our service can encrypt inbound emails with your PGP key prior to putting in the mailbox.
If you pay with a credit card WordPress plugin named Woocommerce keeps the name & address you provide in Woocommerce. It also records the IP address you connected with to make the purchase. I recommend getting one of those VISA gift cards as then you can provide a fake name and address. The credit card number is handled entirely by Square Credit Card processing. We don't see the credit card number, expiry or CCV codes.
Notification of authorities getting user data: Yes, we will notify if we are not under a gag order.

@@privacyproshop not entirely true. I purchased with crypto so no connection to true name. I installed own anonymous domain so nothing there either. IP address or normal email header stuff? Is that what you refer to? I use VPN religiously for not leaking IP.

Outside of the Lokinet install it's just like any other email unless you choose to encrypt the emails.
lokinet is doenst working.
Lokinet on Windows can be finicky. You may have to get YogaDNS to make it work ua-cam.com/video/eG3cbB4719o/v-deo.html
@@privacyproshop so, I learned how to install with you. LOKI + YOGADNS but it still doesn't work on my PC (windows 10). 😢😢😢
@@privacyproshop I start both softwares (YOGADNS + LOKI), but I try to start when I click on "connect" and then I get the error "unable do connect".
I highly recommend using Linux. You can get VMware and install Linux as a VM and use Lokinet through there. Works well. Linux Mint or POP_OS are my favorites.
@@privacyproshopmint isnt very private. Try avoiding systemD distros. Huge amount of exploits and holes. But I do agree that they are easy Linux for beginner's.
