A lot of games will have extra space outside of the playable area for whatever reason which is always nice for speedrunners but it's also just cool to see the world expanded a bit.
Why would notMorgan jam the neuromod into her eye with the needles extended? There's no way that's spec. They pop out like that so you can use the eye cup to line it up. Presumably.
yall ever think about when this takes place? (MAIN GAME SPOILERS) like, its gotta be before the end of the world right? or is everyone just, floating around in space? could pytheas be breached before talos? so interesting.
It’s hard to say but I think it might be during if you listen to the audio while Alex talks and a little bit of the lure i think I remember him saying things are getting out of hand at talos either that’s a part of the simulation or it’s before the full fledged break out of the typhon that made Alex get morgans brain downloaded I lean more to that
We use control modules because they are something we can consistently get from a new game file. Stun gun/emp grenades would work but you won't always get those due to random spawns.
You always watch the stool to be sure it's placed on the light before jumping up. If you just trust and move while it's still settling, you could probably save a few seconds when it lands successfully. You might even get up fast enough to catch it when it's about to fall off and if it does anyway, I can't see the recovery being a greater loss of time than how you're doing it now. Just a thought. Also if you lucked out and found the goo grenade fabrication kit could you not use one to help stop the stool?
Gloo grenade is way to random and places a ton of gloo around the area, it would just be a nightmare to deal with. You would also think just throwing the stool up top and immediately jumping up to be a good alternative but it's not really worth the trouble. Grabbing an object as it's falling almost never works as intended and if you're having to fall back down with the stool, you're going to be losing time as opposed to just staying down there. There is so much of this run that is out of the player's control that I'm not concerned about a few seconds on the stool. This run can be like 2 minutes faster had I gotten lucky with finding a propulsion system fabrication plan somewhere along the way.
If you're going for a top time the RNG can be a pain since it'll determine your time but for the most part the RNG and having to route in different paths is pretty fun.

I love how they designed the moon partially outside what the player can see in game

Thanks for not killing Claire Whitten btw, I couldn´t find anyone on youtube who left her alive so I couldn´t see what happened in that case

Baller
Why do you use the control modules to get past the typhon gates? Surely it's quicker to use a stun gun

Hmmm... It's.... Fast!
Why/how was the shuttle available for Joan right after Andrius used it to escape?
if you mean the 1st time I bring joan in, the sim gets reset after andrius so everything is available again

Do you find the DLC enjoyable to run? Or do the RNG elements get in the way of that?

What are your thoughts about running this on console?
it could be done but it'd probably a bit tougher to pull some of the tricks off.
why is this run not up at the speedrun charts?
I don't have a speedrun.com account
I just passed. It was a difficult and annoying game :]
Man, they put barely any work in the simulation.
😏👍🐢
Boring DLC. Main game was better.
Nah
I love them both. >^_^< but you're entitled to your opinion.
