This man made 12 defensive teams and they say he only got those selections in ladder years is because of reputation I whole heartedly disagree
The media didn’t even vote on those awards NBA coaches voted on NBA defensive teams and they got it right . Basketball minds voted on that award not the media.

Out of the 5 players who have 10 or all defensive teams. Kobe is the only guard with 2nd most selections with 12 behind Tim Duncan who has 15.

You know what's crazy? He's one of the best on ball defenders. But he's realistically 6'4. There's a picture of him next to Jerry West who's listed as 6'3 back in 2007 and they're only about one inch apart in height difference

I think a lot of people forget about the defensive resurgence he had from 08-10 after really falling off in the mid 00's.
Yep, his '08 version is one of my favourite defensively speaking.

He only missed the all defensive team in the 2005 season. Other than that first team! And sometimes second team
