Recommended plays (B meaning you're the pick & roll ballhandler in the play), call these up by pressing LB + A. Note that my playtype setup was
1. P&R ballhandler
2. 3pt
3. Mid Range
4. Isolation
Page 1:
B - CNR Quick
Y - Loop Fist Down (B)
LT - Horns Away

X - Fist Out 4 Quick

After I got 15 points, I intentionally foul out just to get the 20th pick of Chicago.
Now I'm kicking other team's ass with 60-0 and front-runner MVP and Rookie of the Year without any cheat on stats.
Try to get a double-double. That'll land you the 1st spot on the NBA Draft almost everytime! (unless you turnover a lot and get 0 rebounds or defensive plays)
I scored 64 as a Small Foward, got 9 rebounds, got 8 assists and had 2 blocks and Anthony Bennet who scored 15 still got 1 pick. Btw I was 6'9.

I managed to get a triple double with 36 points, 11 rebounds and 13 assists, also getting an A+, 3 steals 2 blocks and 1 TO. My MyPlayer is an Athletic Small Forward. I outplayed the original #1 pick, Anthony Bennet. I shot 75% from the line, and 69% FG. In the beginning, it shows stars of what you must do to rise your draft stock.
I had 40 points 14 boards 11 assists 5 steals 3 block 0 turnovers 1 foul shot 80% and 100% from 3 and 100 from the line and got drafted 19

Try and get more points, that's my assumption.
Ur voice made this worth it. I had a very similar game but got picked by the kings. I was a 3 point specialist tho and had less assists
Hehe, my voice can be a bit tough on some since I'm not a native speaker but I'm glad you liked it. I might have lucked out a bit to get 1st, but since this video have also made a SG, SF and C and got drafted 3rd, 2nd and 4th so most of this stuff seems to work on a pretty consistent level. Can't wait to start a career once next gen comes out.
Honestly, I got no clue anymore, I got a triple double in FG, Assists, and Steals, A+ team grade, player of the game, played almost perfect, completely destroyed my match, got a 5 star overall in half time, got 14+ highlight plays, and didn't even get picked top 5, and it was at that point that I shut the game off. Only thing I can think of that would've messed me up was either the fact that I only got 1 turnover that game because of my teammate running straight into the enemy defense, or it was the interviews.
Edit: I'm starting to think this game hates me, during an inbounding retrying the showcase, the opponents threw the ball straight out of bounds for no reason, and my team got possession, yet for some reason it counted it as a turnover for my chararacter.
Am I the only one who decided to watch this because we are tired of hearing "Anthony Bennett, WOAHH!!"

I've only ever achieved getting drafted 1st with a atheletic 6'7 pg I got a 30 point triple double with no turnovers and couple steals and blocks. I was freaking out

I'm so glad i have this on xbox one. Everything is so much more realistic.
I got drafted 1st overall by performing a triple double as a Center , Face-up. 10 points , 10 assists , 14 rebounds , 6 blks , 2 steals , 4 offensive rebounds, 4 TO's. Teammate grade A+ 75%. But I cheated because I played 40 mins. I changed the rules using Red MC.
I have 2 shooting guards and a sf foward all of them are 3pt specialist my only task was to score and make 3's. With those 3 I scored between 25-40 pts 4-5 reb. & ast 2-8 steals. All players I excepted cavs offer and decline the other 2 teams.
I don't really Aim for top 1 it's easy but the no. 1 pick on that season is the cleveland Cavaliers. I always aim to go to 7th place so my player could go to Sacramento and I would orchestratr a season to bring back the Los Angeles- Sacramento Rivalry.

I did this draft several times. highest i got was 8th. to the pistons(ugh). I only did SG and PG. don't know how it would go with other positions.The one I stuck with was 20th pick to the bulls(SG). Oh and I did get to go with The Thunder once. that was kinda nice.

That’s just NBA 2K playcalling you can either set it as a manual or an auto setting. It should tell you also how to do it in the controls section of settings.
i had 26 points 9 assists 8 steals 3rebounds 87% fg 100% ft and didnt even get interviewed by cleveland :( 6'6 pg
It's not impossible you just have to have good stats, do good in the interviews, and get lucky I had 32 points 7 assists, and 7 rebounds as a athletic SG and got drafted first overall

If you were playing on a playstation 4 or xbox 1, it's nearly impossible to get first draft. No matter how good you are. Its a lot easier on the last gen console.

The highest you can get in the draft for 2k14 is 5th round bc the people before that's what team they were actually drafted to so they can't change that. I had 56 points with a 73% field goal shooting with 3 assists and 5 rebounds with 2 steals and 1 block. These stats are so dominating that they should have gone with me 1st pick but 2k doesn't allow you bc that's where they were picked
But I'm playing on the Xbox one so it was probably different

I play on PS4 btw, but no matter what happens even if their was another player better (not just me), Anthony Bennet always goes first even though he only put up 10 points 2 assists 1 block and 0 steals, I put up 23 points 4 assists 3 rebound 1 steal and 2 blocks, next-gen is scripted
You can upgrade your player before rookie showcase, so, don't play the rookie showcase until you are a 90 overall and then you will get draftes #1, it works i already did it
