Great video my daughter is 7 and she's been a State finalist and competing in the National American Miss pageant for the past two years. My name is Anna, and i'm a State Finalist for Oklahoma Teen. This is my first Pageant and I am so excited. I have never heard of NAMiss until year. I really want to go to National's but I am really nervous. I'm more nervous about the formal wear catagory because of how the said to enter the stage and the stance at the end. I went to the training session yesterday and i was horrible. They told my mom on the phone that chose me for my interviewing skills. I going to try my hardest to get to nationals and follow the tips that you gave in this video.
Number 10 is not true because there are different judges in the optional than the actual
pageant

Oh I'm sorry what I mean is at the finale when the emcee call out winners and runner ups for different optionals it shows how you're involved in the pageant ..But thank you for pointing that out. =)
I don't know when you posted this but right now it ia july 23 2018 and i am doing natinal America miss and it is on the 27th and i am so scared
HELP HELP!! so im a state finalist in NAM and i am entering the photogenic competition and i got professionally made pictures, but i dont like how i look in them. Yet there bright and vibrant pictures and i heard thats what the judges are looking for. I wanted to turn in my own pictures that i look better in but idk if they would meet the standards of what NAM wants... someone please help me :/

My first open call is this Sunday. I have never done a pageant before, and this is my first time with anything in this area. I am extremely nervous about the interview and what to wear. Will you help me? Maybe some tips?

I just got the paper to be in NAM and I'm kinda nervous because I'm a bit shy and what does it mean when they say wear something snappy and fun?
+B Bentley Wear something cute and trendy. A fitted and flare dress is good. I would NOT wear jeans or other denim. You want to look very pulled together and cute. Imagine, if you were the Queen, what would you wear?
+Amber Brown would wearing a black midi (midi as it reaches the knees) bodycon dress and a black and white kimono be good?
+Tati Kagnassy does it match your personality? I am a state finalist and they really just want the outfit to reflect you. Just don't be skeezy

Is a bigger (puffier) dress ok for jr. Teen?
Yes, that will be perfect. Just make sure the dress is hemmed well so that you don't have any difficulties walking in it. Good Luck!!!!!
