Why did she win the gold medal but she's cleared the same height as the silver medal?

      Because of the attempts

It's called count back. Basically if a competitor takes fewer attempts to clear a height, then they are ranked above the one that took more. That count back starts at the greatest height they both cleared. If they have equal attempts at that height, then it goes back to the next highest they both cleared and so on. Only if it is equal all the way back would they be tied. In this case, Molly Caudrey took two attempts to clear 4.80 metres, whilst Eliza MCCARTNEY took three attempts. The same rules apply in the high jump. There are variations on the same rule for the long jump, the triple jump and the throwing events. If they are equal at their greatest distance, then it goes to their second highest distance and so on, although by their nature those events rarely require count back to be used. In contrast, it's common with pole and high jump.
