Brilliant video! Just bought a gen1 Busa 2002 after 32 years away from bikes ! The suspension is rock hard thx for your amazing video to set it back to factory standard 👍
Very useful! I've got a 2004 Hayabusa with 130 000 kms. At 100 000 I had a crash and the front fork had to be replaced - second hand telescopes. Since than I was suffering from the bumpy Hungarian roads. Few weeks ago came into my mind that the settings of the second hand telescopes might be out of the standard. In lack of proper instruction I didn't dare to try to set them but now I gonna to check and set them!
Stiff suspension is not from racing or "launching". I drag my gen 3 busa, you want the suspension soft to soak up the initial shock of full throttle. It was probably set hard because the rider was an absolute unit and he needed the bike to not buck him off at speed from a pothole because he was getting too much travel and not enough damping
Great video thank you I just purchased a 2022 Hayabusa and I have a question sounds crazy but how can I increase the height of my Hayabusa maybe go with 200/60/17 tires etc. thanks
Probably wanna take back to the dealer and ask them on a new bike. The hayabusa are designed to be low on purpose. They are probably the lowest bikes i have ever ridden. By making them taller you are changing the geometry of the bike. Lots of hayabusa forums on the internet i just cant help yah on this one. Do research and go from there. Also this video will not work on your suspension as suzuki has changed all the suspensions from this model specific.
@@TorrentPerformance sir as per owner manual book front rebound screw wich should clicks 8 times anti-clockwise for factory settings..... is clicking only six times anti-clockwise ...
@@ngvlogs5555 If that is the case than something internally is wrong. Why are you trying to adjust it do you feel something is wrong. Email me so i can try to help you further. Email in description below.
Hello. In the service manual they say that the std position for the pre-load adjustment is in 5th groove. The rebound std 3 clicks out from the stiffest postion. I'm in Europe, so I don't know if there is a diff between our regions. (I think there isn't). I have an Hayabusa from 2002 and I'm trying to reverse the previous owners suspensions setting to the standard. That's why I found your video. Could you please confirm where did you find your info about the factory settings? Thanks a lot. Regards.
ok my suspension is ok but I had put my swim arm by someone in Fontana,California and well when I sit my girl the suspicion fail...the rear touch the tire leaving some marks on the fat tire...so I don't know if I just adjust the shock or there are some other ways to do it....I think they remove all this factures screw that your moving to adjust it
Mine has the fender eliminated. like that when got it. Hate how they did it, devalues bike. But nothing rubs & looks better than stock. Imo And I’m not sell’in her...
My bike was already stretched when I got it. I imagine it’s lowered as well. Never had a problem with how it rides. only big bike I’ve ever owned. I don’t know what that feel means🤔 I’m very confident on this bike. Hopefully it’s adjusted fine. STIFF/SOFT...🤷🏽♂️ Wouldn’t even know what to tell my mechanic.😕
Pulled my address and phone number off all my stuff so I don't get robbed. Also I don't use facebook anymore to help protect my location. I am located in Illinois.
TorrentPerformance oh ok I understand! I’m going threw a lot with my very first atv and needed help I wish I was close to you I would have liked for your help

Thank you!!! This helped a lot! Just did mine and it’s night and day difference! :) A+ video!!
This is going to come in handy as I get ready to do some suspension modifications here this winter. Thanks for the info!
Your welcome
Awesome video, simple strate to the point. Adjusting mine tomorrow. 04 Busa.cThanks
Thanks buddy. Set back to stock. Then if you make adjustments do one at a time before each ride until you find what works for you.
Very informative. Was wondering what the bottom screws on the front forks do.
Thanks very much my friend, greatly appreciated, it felt like I had no suspension

He said hard for drag racing. I did those settings and it spun like crazy. I’m like you. Went a lot softer now it’s hooking

Helo sir ..my 2017 busa top rebound screw is clicking only 6 n half times anti-clockwise after six an half clicks clockwise...
Your 2017 busa i think has different forks than this gen one. Follow the manual on settings them.

Gen1s have issues with 2nd gear needs to be uncut
not all...some dont know how to shift which will cause forks to bend and dogs to round off
