I have 4 cats. The outside one used to be inside and has forgotten how to hunt. I have your recipes, but it is kind of overwhelming even just thinking about getting started.
Every new routine / change / skill / learning experience / etc is overwhelming in the beginning! Just take it one step at a time (:
There are chapters in the video. Focus on one / month. Plan for this month then come back next month and watch step 3 (since you already have recipes from step 2!).
They don’t forget how to hunt. It is in their DNA, they are born with it.

I do the same I put the cook meat in the freezer I take it out and thaw it in the fridge the day before as needed my cat eats 3 x a day because he is a kitty 6 months .

Hi Jess so I could give my cat ground cook food and add sardines together with know better premix. Since ground meat is not too frozen in the market can be a little worry is cooking it can be better. What about if I go to a meat hardware where they grind the meat for me is that safer. The meat place is called Casa Blanca meat . They only have all kinds of meat and eggs
Hi Jess, I love your detailed videos! I see most of your recipes are for adult cats. I’m prepping for the arrival of our new baby (14 week old) Maine coon. We pick him up Sept 2nd. Do you have specific kitten raw diet recipes? Breeder is feeding him raw and kibble I believe. ❤
Hello! I do not have any kitten recipes at this time, sorry! But it's important to continue feeding the kitten exactly what he's eating now so he's not put through too many changes at once. Thanks for the video, just starting to integrate raw food for my ragdoll with IBS. I thought an elimination diet would be good for him to rule out intolerances but i know raw is just better in general.
I know you cant create recipes for the whole world, but maybe you can look for Europe and UK? I found a freeze dry raw (German) company called Pamico which I am trying now. They give a breakdown of each ingredient and supplement. they do give recipes but they have quite a bit of plant based ingredients for their recipes, and I’m not sure it’s the best or how to correctly substitute for supplements. It would also be nice to substitute fresh meat occasionally. I think your recipes could give some guidance but I agree that it needs to be balanced by a professional, not just me!
I understand the need. However, I prefer to test supplements/products before recommending them to others. And I can't afford to buy stuff from other countries. Or most food products wouldn't even ship here.
Hi Jess, I’m kind of concerned now because as I explore more recipes like using ground beef and ground turkey I just buy what’s in the display case at the meat department, should I not buy it there? It has to be in the frozen section? I’m concerned that I might not be able to find especially the turkey. And honestly buying pre-ground has made my life a lot easier lol. I do have a grinder but it’s easier to buy ground Turkey then trying to find whole pieces of turkey in the frozen section.
Personally I don't know a single person who has ever had any issues feeding ground meat as part of a pets raw diet 😅 I commonly include ground turkey, beef and pork if that's all that's available or just for a change of texture. I know hundreds of raw feeders who do the same without issue 🤷🏻♀️
I'm sure using the ground meat will be fine. My mom uses pre thawed ground meats for her dogs and cats. As I show in the video. But I have to be responsible and let you know the risk. Basically, here is the information, but what you do with that information is completely up to you.
Maybe speak with your meat department manager and ask what day/time it's stocked. Perhaps there are frozen ones in the back that you can purchase before they put it out to thaw. Or grab a pack that is farther back and has less access to the bright lights.
I buy the same thing u buy but I cook the ground meat for my cat is best if u concerned he loves it I use know better premix with every vitamins supplements in it as Jess showed in one of her videos.
I am feeding my cats raw for neary 4 years but last year or so they lost their appetite and lost some wait. I tried different things but I am not seeing any changes. I don't want to go back kibble they dont like that too but I am not sure what to do right now.
They are probably bored of beef and chicken but in my country I can't get rabbit or pork.
Maybe mice? Snake food
If raw homemade food is not working at the moment, can you buy commercial wet food or freezer dried?

Hi Jessica, thanks for the info. I have 2 cats that I have been feeding human food to for the past 4 years. I usually start my day off with eggs and bacon every morning, and when I'm making it for myself, I always make a plate of eggs and bacon that I give to my cats. When I get home from work, I just give them canned tuna that I buy from the grocery store, which is intended for humans. Do you think that this is okay?
No. Cats must have taurine in their food to be healthy.
Do not feed your cats bacon. It has a ton of sodium in it which is NOT good for cats. Also, most bacon has preservatives in it that a cat’s body cannot process. And the canned tuna is also not a good idea. Fish should not make up a large portion of a cat’s diet. Also, cats need many more vitamins than what just the tuna alone provides. And depending on what tuna you are buying, sodium content might be an issue. Please buy food specifically formulated for cats so that your cat gets the vitamins it needs, and is eating food without sodium and preservatives.
I agree human Tuna has sodium it’s very dangerous for cats. They need vitamin supplements for cats . Cats food should not have any seasoning .
Can I mix the ground turkey or beef with their regular wet food? I have 5 feral cats that I feed and they are so picky I keep throwing food away and on a fixed income I can’t afford to keep throwing food out. Or would getting the freeze dried be a better option to mix in with the can food? I also give them kibble if I mixed in some of the raw items with the kibble would it make it a little healthier for the cats? I spend more money on food for them than I do for food for my self.lol
My six boys don't take time to transition.into anything... they literally have eaten anything and everything 😂😂
Obviously, everything kitty approved but still Not picky eaters...
