As much as you do and have done for the MPC community it’s really hard to believe that Akai fail to notice and just overlook that. I’m really shocked to hear you didn’t get one, I hope they come around in the future Poli P.
When the Keys came out, I built a shelf directly under the shelf where my MPC X sits and put a 61 note keyboard on there. So I had no feeling of missing out, but could still edit samples more easily with the extra q links the Keys doesn't have. And since I've never come close to hitting the ram limit on my X, I don't feel like I'm missing anything from the SE either. I'm just happy they've released something that doesn't make the older machines obsolete. Keep making videos and growing your subscribers, and I'm sure they'll send you an MPC one day! But I'm pretty sure they're only loan units they send the reviewers.
I can't wait till the MPC Live 2 gets even better and it's not so subtle like just two more gigs of RAM that's ridiculous. I mean you can use a laptop with any kind of DAW you want on it and just bring it to wherever you're going just like the MPC live 2 I mean it may take one more second to plug a speaker audio interface in MIDI keyboard into it but not that much longer.
What's up sit tight bro we all agree they should send you the MPC-X Special Edition, you're good at what you do and you no your MPC's your one of my #1 Akia guy and like you I love my MPC Keys as well i traded my MPC live 2 for it 😅love your videos
💯💯💯💯 as always Poli Popo! I'm planning to purchase the Key 61 in a few weeks with the way the price is. I just bought the TheoryBoard Thy333 and modded it. If works so well with the MPCs.
Not hating on the X SE. I want a Live II with 4GB though. With the price drop on the Key 61, I'm thinking I just get that instead because of the price drop. There isn't too many talking about the keys price drop.
Poli, I have a studio setup already i have a mpc studio to the computer I have midi keyboard controllers and a motifxf8 etc… I want to expand… which one should I get next? The X or the Key. If key (37 or 61?) or x? Let me know thanks..!
Popo, greetings to you and I hope your feeling much better.....my thoughts of today and Akai, I strongly believe that a MPC KEY 49 or MPC KEY 25 is greatly needed over the MPC SE....dope if itcan be Battery operated like the LIVE version, don't you think so???
A key 25 sounds awesome Just depends on your work so I guess I really like to take the live out and about I make all my sounds with my MPC ex and modular but I’ll finish everything on the keys no the Chi 25 of the same specs that would be really cool
There are options to make the MPC X portable, it just isn't a compact setup. Honestly though in my opinion all of the MPCs are great and have their application depending on how the artist wants to work. I mean what an awesome time to be into MPC, there are so many options! I am getting the MPC X SE, upgrading from MPC ONE which I have loved and plan to also keep. I have used MPC X and the MPC Live 2, both are awesome. The MPC X was always the one I wanted, because of the spacing, layout and less menu diving. With the MPC Live 2 I do not like the layout of the pads, buttons or lack there of and I DO NOT like menu diving at all. I am a fan of analog synths. While I have the newest version of Ableton Live and PUSH 2, having to create music in a computer is just not my thing. the MPC X and One are a great workflow and a decent compromise to get much further from a computer workflow. I love that I can sample my own synth and drum sounds along with vinyl.
Hello Poli Popo. For me MPC X SE is the win for me. I DO NOT want another keyboard device in my studio...unless it is an analog Synth, MOOG ONE...I already have the MPK261 and an AKAI Advance and and MPK Mini, Waldorf Iridium Keyboard version, Moog Matriarch, Korg Minilogue XD, Arturia Keystep Pro. So no more keyboards for me unless it is a really crazy powerful Synth that has at least 16 analog voices, Not digital I already have that covered. I am upgrading from the MPC ONE to the MPC X SE. And I do believe that what you are doing with the MPC Keys can easily be done with the MPC X or X SE with a nice controller hooked up MIDI, such as my MPK261, which has keys, and MPC Pads. I am so excited to finally have my own MPC X (SE) and it will have the upgraded RAM, Storage and the bundled content. The other thing is I am planning to put together a live performance using the MPC X, Roland SP 404 MK2, Roland 707 and TR8S. Umm and the MPC X and X SE are more portable than the MPC Keys The only thing I wish AKAI would have done is make the RAM expandable or at least go all in an upgrade the RAM to 8GB.
If I didn't already have 4 keyboard controllers & MPC Live 2 I would get the Key 61 but I'm happy with what I have. I do think Live 2 & Key 61 are the best MPCs currently offered. Not a fan of X or X SE. I'm curious to see where Akai is going to take the MPC line. It would be great if they made an all new user interface, added more options for audio, 8GB - 16GB memory, implement easy stem separation of any audio, an arranger, etc.
I love my MPC live and my MPC key 61! They both have their own workflow for different purposes. On another note...is there anyway I can get in contact with you somehow to discuss the problem I have with my Akai Force? Let me know! Keep up the amazing work you do and I look forward to purchasing those sound packs!!!
Could you make a video showing how fast a 2 TB hard drive full of stuff when you do a search shows up on your 61 key versus the MPC Live 2? Also could you show how fast a project loads on the 61 key versus the MPC Live 2?
Although I do like the new sticker on the X, I would ask anyone who doesn't have a Key61 or an X, if you could pick one which one would be a better fit in your life... And we cant exclude the one with the speaker in that choice... Because it is all about which one fits your personal needs in the end... Rock On Popo!!! BTW, how did you get your name?
Ok so the difference I see Is poli popo and these other guys is poli is more technical when it comes to the mpc. When u go to guys like bolo they doping more content when it comes to actually making beats..they cooking up ..me personally I want the technical side first ..I want to know how this box work inside out ..but since these other guys touching a little more besides just mostly tec is why....now this is just my thoughts?? U do know they dropping a new mpc 1 ...and probably more 🤷♂️
MPC Key would be win if it has the key light assist like the komplete Kontrol. Also, I feel bad for you man they should have hooked you up with the SE. maybe they don’t know how to contact you:
Man it’s a big waste of money for people who already have an mpc x or a mpc key 61 . Akai just trying to make as much money as possible like any other company. That mpc live timbaland edition is also a waste of money . Just my opinion.
@@PoliPopo so when you go to the sample edit screen, the keys trigger the sample? Reason i ask is because i rather use the keys to sample over the pads. Thats the only thing stopping me from buying it. every video ive seen. people use the pads to sample edit
Totally agree. In my opinion the MPC X SE is amazing looking and closer to perfect...If only they just went a little further with the RAM to 8GB or just make the RAM and memory expandable (which memory is with a SSD, I already have a new 1 TB SSD formate and ready to go in the MPC X SE!
@@STEADYB5150 if that is the 5d reality I’ll still take it over the previous MPC X and as an upgrade to my MPC one for the workflow, increased ram, increased memory and style which is like WOW! Loving it
It’s cool that you enjoy the keys 61 , but let’s be honest the thing is absolutely bug ridden. I had to sell mine due to zero support from akai , the X is a vastly superior machine even in terms of the way it currently performs. Maybe in time the keys 61 will be worth it’s salt. Sure it may be ok if your just using the plug ins but as soon as you start using it like any of the other mpcs it becomes a little shocking, the play start pausing the beat and the locator buttons not working correctly just to name a few.
I think that may be your personal setup. The Keys and X use the same software and the Keys has more RAM. Any performance issues on your keys would have been yours or based on software issues. All their products at this point use the same software. The Keys would only be defective compared to other MPC products if it had it's own firmware, but they all use the same stuff, the difference is the physical form of the controller and what external devices are connected to them.
It’s crazy you didn’t get one sent to you. You’re one of the most prolific MPC content creators.
Poli has been an OG as far as I know with the MPC world ever since I was blessed with it He's taught me 75% of what I know.
💯% Agreed 🫡
Poli isn't enough of a shill unlike several others ....
Love your dedication, keep it up 👍 Respect ✊
Thank you 💯 🎶
Being able to play keys speeds up a workflow so much. Don't get me wrong, pattern and step sequencing are powerful and fun.
As much as you do and have done for the MPC community it’s really hard to believe that Akai fail to notice and just overlook that. I’m really shocked to hear you didn’t get one, I hope they come around in the future Poli P.

The X is the best instrument out there, don’t buy your kid a guitar, or violin, invest into the MPCX, will keep your kid out the streets.
