I met Sylvester at a club called The No Name in Providence Rhode Island in 1985! He was a sweet kind down to earth human being! Children I was gonna loose it but he had a calming effect on me. I asked so many questions and he answered them all. Mind you he was touring with his Rock The Box album. He had a keyboard and a microphone & himself alone. He tore that place apart. I love hearing Sylvester with the Two Tons Of Fun. Still, it's good that they went out on their own as "The Weather Girls", as they are far too talented to be mere background singers. At the same time, Sylvester was SO talented that he didn't need background singers. He could definitely hold a song on his own.

"Someone Like You" was always my favorite Sylvester song. I remember watching this Joan River segment when it first aired. I believe I read somewhere that Sylvester knew that he was HIV positive when he was recording and promoting this particular album (his last). How sad.
