Society and Energy Transition | "ITAS kompakt" (Part 3)
"The energy transition concerns us all," says sustainability researcher Marius Albiez. Together with his colleagues at ITAS, he is working on the collaborative design of a sustainable energy transition. Last but not least, they want to find out how social transformation processes, such as the restructuring of the energy system, can be shaped. The question at the center of this is: "how do we get from knowledge to action?".
Marius Albiez explains how the researchers tackle the topic, what each and every individual can contribute to the energy transition, and where the limits of transformative science lie. The focus is on the ITAS projects "Energy Transformation in Dialog" and "Your BalconyNet", both of which are part of the Karlsruhe reallaboratory "Quartier Zukunft - Labor Stadt".
