He abused them non-maliciously, reported them ahead of time, and got a lot of game-breaking stuff fixed, but still got hate from Jagex because they felt embarrassed. He either just doesn't allow Chronicles to use his content or is treated as non-existent by them because of pressure from Jagex.
I kinda love that all the xtreme one chunks are starting to get into the mid to late game. Like, once 99's start rolling in more and more eventually the chunk goals will be just quests and collection log slots. Meaning the next few years is going to be a lot of bossing and raids instead of just skilling grinds.
This the long term investment we've been waiting for. Ridiculous 99s are cool, but watching them actually become reg account with some "interesting" level of resources shall be enjoyable.

I am absolutely facinated by what some people will allow in an ironman or chunk challenge, and others will not permit in thiers. The differences in style make every channel a completely different experiance.
Well it is just like any other game, it just doesn't have an official unofficial ruleset regarding what style people need to use. Like pokemon nuzlocke is similar to this, but pokemon tournaments also have rules about things like sleep clause. It's the difference between whether you want to go by what the game allows or what is meant by the game
A long while ago, I remember trying to pick up small fishing net spawns in the world and it complained that "ironmen are not allowed to pick up other player's drops". I guess what happened is that they didn't want ironmen to be able to pick up fishing nets left by other people's dismantled net traps, so they just disabled picking up fishing nets as a bandaid. After that they probably replaced all hunter trap item spawns in the world with an object you can interact with to obtain said item, for example the bird snare spawn on the Isle of Souls works the same way.
Thats cringe I don't see a big deal with things like nets, hammers, etc to be picked up by everyone, it's a stable item for the game and you can buy them for few gp at different shops It's like they go out the way to make things inconvenient
The same goes for box traps. There's an unreachable one on the isle of souls that irons can't telegrab, and there's now one in Varlamore which irons can't pick up at all.
I think it's interesting how the different chunk accounts are starting to diverge in the play style. On the extreme end you have Limpurt who fucks himself making restrictions that don't even have a chunk requirement (e.g. golden apron) and Verf who basically started in an accounting ending chunk. Then you have on the other end Josh isn't gaming who will mass fishing trawler but also handicaps himself by not allowing implings and Fray who will utilize the entirety of his community to crowdsource ideas or give PK protection while still remaining faithful to the chunk goals. I think it's awesome having both play types; its content, there isn't some actual competition.
Josh isn't handicapping himself by not doing Implings, that's an attempt at misdirection. He doesn't want to do puro because it's a massive grind and would halt his progression too much. Which is fine, just kind of cringe to try and act noble about it.

Especially considering it multi-month long where you can be doing other chucks that easily can surpass implings upgrade. But as is it just adds more to the weirdness I feel with some of the exceptions he does in the series while still claiming to be extreme.
I dont think verf would have used this method. Its kind of exploiting the spirit of his rules. Much like not using the pheonix crossbow because it doesnt originate from his chunks. Cool discovery still

If it had been like 100k xp/hr, I doubt I'd have used it either, but seeing as it's basically the same but a bit chiller on mobile AND I'm forgoing loot in exchange meant that I didn't feel too guilty about using it a bit. Hopefully some non-youtube chunkmen get some good use out of it though!

Meanwhile ever since a random update a long while ago, swapping items in your inv leaves behind a null item that can troll you because you can actually click it and select to use null on another item instead of the left click option you intended! Shoutouts to the team for prioritizing nerfing player power even if it means the inventory doesn't even have the same mechanics as it did in 2007!!!!!!!

if you have draynor and fally unlocked you could drop the monkey in the area you telly to with the disc of returning. it would have no other spawn choice besides right under you and you would just be spamming to click under you at that point.
Is there no range next to a bank in your chunks? I mean, it might not be faster, but you could buy all the fish you need. Get an invent from the bank drop in front of the range. Pick up one at a time and click the range. Insta cooks a fish, and it's as fast as you can cook. Idk probably not worth it but worth keeping in mind.
40:30 - I checked in game that using the scrolls on the glory states 'Nothing interesting happens' for me but when you just simply 'Read' it, it'll charge the glory... I'm guessing you already tried this?

This reminds me of toy mouse in the start of OSRS being meta way to train agility (This was also before Rooftop Agility courses), before they then suddenly nerfed the XP rates of catching them. Think I still had one there in the bank (Though haven't played that account, or gotten to the 'end-game' with that one. Did it for some levels).

Fray they are not repolling the World boss. If there is one thing that you need to understand, is that Time Gated Content in PVP zones leads to Toxicity. What will happen is PVP clans controlling that shit and making it unaccessible for everyone else. That's why it failed, it's a flawed design, that is an issue in every MMO that tries to implement it.
I don't know what chunks you have unlocked, but you should try the barbarian agility course 2nd floor on the non-advanced course. Right above the spike pit/rope ladder net thing, go up the wooden ladder. You will have a 1x4 or so area and its just a plank. Try releasing the monkey there and seeing where it's able to go.
I miss the scry and fake log bugs. Now my ass gets put into an object. I had 3 methods(interface stacks) and they patched the 3 then locked it for damn what over a year? The last method got patched 8 hours after I figured it out. The fake log got patched after Rendi dropped the mechanics. I didn’t grab some rum after getting kicked from harmony and totally regret it…

19:00 Huh, I thought the important question was “how much does Jagex care about smuggling items about of Trouble Brewing?” and “Will they ban any of your accounts when you release this video?”. Some bugs they donʼt care about especially for weird chunk accounts, but usually they do care about item smuggling specifically.
Josh took a broken minigame to the extreme to try and optimize xp and found a bug, then reported it himself after using it and before it was public. Fray is actively hunting bugs: Lucky Imps/Monkey to try to abuse, even demonstrated how main accounts could trade Lucky Imps. You do you, but it's easy for a mod to see this as bannable behavior so be careful with the "GAMEBREAKING BUG!!" titles
I sex'd it up a bit for the video but the reason that I knew to look at Trouble Brewing in the first place is because there have been known ways to smuggle items out of there for the last 15 years - even to the extent that in 2020 they deliberately made Trouble Brewing items unbankable WITHOUT removing the act of taking them out of Trouble Brewing! So I highly doubt it, especially considering this is only really game-warping for self-restricted accounts, and not for the game at large. I wouldn't be surprised to see a patch, though I actually think they'll probably leave it - something as jank and pointless as this is highly unlikely to warrant a ban though!
@FrayRS I agree that you SHOULD not be banned for anything like this, as these glitches are so minor. However, Jagex technically can ban you since you are breaking the rules, and they have banned people for inane things in the past. For example, A Friend aka Dovydas got temp banned for testing a duplication exploit in a video even though he didn't exploit it himself, and a UA-camr called Frank Glymes had his first skill guided account permanently banned because he reset CoX hundreds of times for a snowflake hunter training method. All I'm saying is: be careful. Jagex is unpredictable - they have been more reasonable in the past few years and you'd imagine they aren't going to ban one of the bigger content creators, but you never know if someone at Jagex might take the wrong meds and decide they want to start banning people for minor bug abuse again. It would be horrible if you lost your account over something like that
Yeah I think your videos are great and great for jagex too, but he is right it is technically bug abuse and against the rules .. so just be careful maybe with the accounts you use but idk but I hope they are not low enough to do that .. thanks for the great vid!

As a Rune Scape player TM TM I have some information for you Mr. Fray. I used to catch these monkeys for fun inside trouble brewing. They used to only grant 15 agility xp and no hunter xp. I was able to get up to around 2k agility xp from the monkey during a single game though I'm not efficient, just silly. but you used to be able to recatch the monkey for a tick after you set it down, so you could recatch the same monkey repeatedly after dropping it. You could repeat this until you messed up or a server lag spike hit just right.
You probably know, but there's a plugin to hide the random events, you can choose which ones, and even other peoples. Just figured I would say, in case you do more monkey tech :)
They rule-lawyer that they get no items from it, logging out to prevent that, get to a chunk they are allowed to use, and let the telegrabbed item enter their inventory there. I agree that it barely or doesnt count tho.

What will happen is PVP clans controlling that shit and making it unaccessible for everyone else.

I don't know what chunks you have unlocked, but you should try the barbarian agility course 2nd floor on the non-advanced course. Right above the spike pit/rope ladder net thing, go up the wooden ladder. You will have a 1x4 or so area and its just a plank. Try releasing the monkey there and seeing where it's able to go.

I miss the scry and fake log bugs. Now my ass gets put into an object. I had 3 methods(interface stacks) and they patched the 3 then locked it for damn what over a year? The last method got patched 8 hours after I figured it out. The fake log got patched after Rendi dropped the mechanics. I didn’t grab some rum after getting kicked from harmony and totally regret it…

Some bugs they donʼt care about especially for weird chunk accounts, but usually they do care about item smuggling specifically.

Josh took a broken minigame to the extreme to try and optimize xp and found a bug, then reported it himself after using it and before it was public. Fray is actively hunting bugs: Lucky Imps/Monkey to try to abuse, even demonstrated how main accounts could trade Lucky Imps. You do you, but it's easy for a mod to see this as bannable behavior so be careful with the "GAMEBREAKING BUG!!" titles
I sex'd it up a bit for the video but the reason that I knew to look at Trouble Brewing in the first place is because there have been known ways to smuggle items out of there for the last 15 years - even to the extent that in 2020 they deliberately made Trouble Brewing items unbankable WITHOUT removing the act of taking them out of Trouble Brewing! So I highly doubt it, especially considering this is only really game-warping for self-restricted accounts, and not for the game at large. I wouldn't be surprised to see a patch, though I actually think they'll probably leave it - something as jank and pointless as this is highly unlikely to warrant a ban though!
@FrayRS I agree that you SHOULD not be banned for anything like this, as these glitches are so minor. However, Jagex technically can ban you since you are breaking the rules, and they have banned people for inane things in the past.
For example, A Friend aka Dovydas got temp banned for testing a duplication exploit in a video even though he didn't exploit it himself, and a UA-camr called Frank Glymes had his first skill guided account permanently banned because he reset CoX hundreds of times for a snowflake hunter training method.
All I'm saying is: be careful. Jagex is unpredictable - they have been more reasonable in the past few years and you'd imagine they aren't going to ban one of the bigger content creators, but you never know if someone at Jagex might take the wrong meds and decide they want to start banning people for minor bug abuse again. It would be horrible if you lost your account over something like that
Yeah I think your videos are great and great for jagex too, but he is right it is technically bug abuse and against the rules .. so just be careful maybe with the accounts you use but idk but I hope they are not low enough to do that .. thanks for the great vid!
@@BrandanP93 I think back in they day they would 100% ban for this, but given things Rendi has said, it sounds like their attitude has shifted to be more lenient. They know that these videos are good PR and that content creators are basically doing unpaid QA work for them.

As a Rune Scape player TM TM I have some information for you Mr. Fray. I used to catch these monkeys for fun inside trouble brewing. They used to only grant 15 agility xp and no hunter xp. I was able to get up to around 2k agility xp from the monkey during a single game though I'm not efficient, just silly. but you used to be able to recatch the monkey for a tick after you set it down, so you could recatch the same monkey repeatedly after dropping it. You could repeat this until you messed up or a server lag spike hit just right.
You probably know, but there's a plugin to hide the random events, you can choose which ones, and even other peoples. Just figured I would say, in case you do more monkey tech :)
How isn't telegrabbing outside a chunk not against your rules?
They rule-lawyer that they get no items from it, logging out to prevent that, get to a chunk they are allowed to use, and let the telegrabbed item enter their inventory there. I agree that it barely or doesnt count tho.
