They have a wide range. Listen to them on Mike Taylor aka The Beard Guy memorial tribute. They did acoustic and his blues rock voice came out. Alot of people dont realize that he has blues in his voice👍

Definitely an arena rock anthem seemingly heavily influenced by a headlining act they supported on tour. Really not a bad way to pay some respect to those who have shown respect.

I understand people want them to sound like they did the last few records but bands evolve and change. It keeps things interesting, for them and for the listener. At least they're not writing and milking the same song over and over again like some other bands. Can't wait for the rest of the album, can already tell i'm going to love it.

Better yet... How's YOUR band doing that you can criticise others so much... It sounds badass, bass, guitar work in tune, drums that rock, lyrics that choose to hit a subject right on... Stop comparing and support a band you actually care about, it's slightly different from the other stuff they've thrown out but not a million miles away... Be happy that it's not nickel back if you hate them so much, actually I think they've bested nickelback at their own game if you even choose to look at it that way... I hope these dudes write music because they want to, not because some kid with a hang up about nickelback and shinedown has a tantrum. Because the next album will be different... And people will be forever conflicted... But don't hate just because your butt hurt, respect the rockers who fought to be where they are and continue to support if you actually give a damn... this is typical radio rock but ok so whats there is one song hopefully just like this?? every rock band used to have 1-2 radio friendly songs that got big but often were the worst songs on the albums, the album will most likely be better.

Any time this band came down east { Canada} i traveled to see them. four awesome shows :::::, Got excited to hear they were goin to add a little harmonica and horns to their classic sound but this is nickleback garbage, never heard the other tracks so I'll try not to be to upset but I hate to think your changing your sound. Hear it happening to another great band REIGNWOLF.

I don't like the way he sings "Evolution (X3)" in the chorus (it's somewhat rushed), but the verses are pretty catchy and the overall vibe works for me. And yes, it's surely more radio-friendly and formulaic rock, however it's definitely more interesting than the authentic but boring and monotonous classic hard-rock sound.
And STOP HATING NICKELBACK! Imo all of the haters are completely partial as they haven't searched Nickelback in depth in order to realize that they have so many memorable, amazing and meaningful songs (without saying that there are not some bland and low quality Nickelback songs). Nickelback are undoubtedly a great modern rock band with a big impact (hence all refer to them) and they don't deserve such an unfair criticism.
LOVE IT! So what if it sounds different, its evolved as does with most bands....Certainly a hint of Shinedown/ Nickleback there, lets see how the album pans out before passing judgment.

Well, I much prefer this to the True Rocker number. And I like True Rocker. It's fuck all like Nickelback btw, but having said that, there's nothing wrong with having a proper heavy rock track that's actually got a tune.

Listened to yall a long time and this just isnt Monster Truck. I love this band because you have a very classic rock sound, which we need more of. Not this highly edited stuff. Be different! Be the reason everyone loves this band!! Be True Rockers!!

I think everyone is being far too hard on this song. I for one think its a decent tune. I do, however, agree that the production is a far cry from the feirce rock n' roll Monster Truck sound we have all come to love from the first records. I can see how some might be off put by the production of this track.

Not necessarily bad, but if it's a trend, it'd be concerning. Please don't go full radio friendly, please don't dilute the unique sound you've built by catering to radio-friendly, profit-minded mainstream trends. Call it Nickleback, call it Imagine Dragons, call the sound whatever you want; but I hope you don't fall too far into it. You guys have been an oasis of good rock music in a sea of watered down modern rock garbage.

As a musician, I completely understand the need to evolve and keep exploring new paths musically. You can’t keep to the same stuff year in year out (even if it is absolutely killer) but this is just a plain no. It’s a good song but it’s nothing fresh in an already oversatured rock market. You guys can definitely do better 👎🏻

What they were is called Southern Rock with a twist of buesy goodness.
Deep Purple Theatre -Shinedown'd I have to disagree with there, they sound more like bring me the horizon in this track.
I really don't want monster truck to go this route. I absolutely love the band and have since The Brown EP. All I can do is respect them for stepping out of their comfort zone and try something new. I just hope the rest of the album is as good as Furiosity.
@@NightCelestial. Shinedown are great musicians but they ruined their sound hard with the last 3 albums. Monster Truck however only has this one song that sounds like this and I'm happy it's only the one track. Everything else on True Rockers and even Sittin' Heavy are just as good as everything on Furiosity.

:( MonsterTruck you guys are better than this. This is fucking one direction or imagine dragons formula crap. Look at Ghost, they went almost completely for pop-rock, but kept the essence, something that made them special. The whole Prequelle album itself is amazing.
