This one is one of the fundamental features of Pro7 that people still get wrong ALL THE TIME.
In fact, the first person to comment on the video gets it wrong and doesn't see the advantage of getting it right.
I get it.
A video plays or it doesn't, BUT if you set it to the wrong behavior, or someone else did, what happens next may be confusing.

My church has used Pro Presenter since around 2013 and I have never been clear on the differences in background and foreground. Thanks, Paul.

Honestly, I have never found a consistent use for foreground, only use background for everything and that works for me.
