Hannah Kulas is my kind of dancer since her sensitivity and musicality are present during her whole variation. She still has to conquer her point work a little. Those dancers would be great asset for ABT, which is lacking dramatic dancers very much. Where is she working at the present?????

Exactly. They were younger here, and if they placed this high at one of the hardest ballet competitions in the world, I don't know why anyone would think they don't know what they're doing. They could all go on to be principal dancers.
I saw Hannah Bettes yesterday at YAGP and she's my friend on facebook lol!! :D but she did a ballet duet with Jackson Kettel and OH MY GOD... the whole audience stood up and they had the loudest clap of the whole show!!!!! :O i'm a dancer too and i wish to be her! But i know i'll never be like her. i want my feet like her
Hey don't get me wrong. I like Aran, especially after seeing First Position. But I think Hannah should have won the Grand Prix especially after seeing all the tippy-toe dancing she did in that video. That's unhuman!
You guys have to remember even if the performer does poorly or just doesn't win they have still been seen by hundreds of scouts from all around the world. Some get called months later asking to join a school or company. Just because they don't win a metal at the YAGP doesn't mean its the end of the world.

@sulaaussies That's actually a good question! I am a ballet dancer myself, and dancing with pointe shoes is soooo much harder.. In the beginning it was actually supposed to make it harder for the girls to do ballet, and it worked! But, it's beauuuutiful. I love the fact that you watch these videos without being a dancer yourself! :)

While everyone danced very well, I think some in the Sr division that won should have gotten bronze and some that got bronze should have gotten silver. :\ All top notch dancers! Just odd placement to me.
@catgoesgreen17 Scoring is very subjective at finals. For example, someone who got gold could place lower than someone who got bronze but they decided to place them as gold. They also do not hand back scores to those who placed in top 12 or above.
