Today Mayara is first soloist at the Royal Ballet. She is amazing.

how did tyler donatelli get bronze?! she's awesome! her turns are soooo great.and the girl who got silver is not even that good..her turns kept moving.the young boy who got gold is really good!! hannah bettes most certainly deserved gold!! such stage presence and musicality and grace! her expressions!! her feet!! woahhh and aran bell?? amazing! speechless..5 pirouettes!! but bronze? only! theyre all so amazing! Hannah Kulas..just wow! how did she not get gold!
Hey! It’s not nice to mock the other girl just because tyler placed behind >:(. Remember ballet is not just turns and tricks the judges must have seen something in the silver medalist to give her that result

Hannah Kulas is my kind of dancer since her sensitivity and musicality are present during her whole variation. She still has to conquer her point work a little. Those dancers would be great asset for ABT, which is lacking dramatic dancers very much.

saw hannah bettes and aran bell at the young stars of ballet...hannah's feet are so strong she broke her shoes on stage...and she had only worn them twice...amazing
Exactly. They were younger here, and if they placed this high at one of the hardest ballet competitions in the world, I don't know why anyone would think they don't know what they're doing. They could all go on to be principal dancers.

I saw Hannah Bettes yesterday at YAGP and she's my friend on facebook lol!! :D but she did a ballet duet with Jackson Kettel and OH MY GOD... the whole audience stood up and they had the loudest clap of the whole show!!!!! :O i'm a dancer too and i wish to be her! But i know i'll never be like her. i want my feet like her
You guys have to remember even if the performer does poorly or just doesn't win they have still been seen by hundreds of scouts from all around the world. Some get called months later asking to join a school or company. Just because they don't win a metal at the YAGP doesn't mean its the end of the world.

Hey don't get me wrong. I like Aran, especially after seeing First Position. But I think Hannah should have won the Grand Prix especially after seeing all the tippy-toe dancing she did in that video. That's unhuman!

Grand prix awards are best in women's and men's. Hope award is like Grand Prix, but for the per-competitive age division.

Not only were my teachers and family shocked when I won but so was I. I go there with equal opportunity as every other dancer.

@sulaaussies That's actually a good question! I am a ballet dancer myself, and dancing with pointe shoes is soooo much harder.. In the beginning it was actually supposed to make it harder for the girls to do ballet, and it worked! But, it's beauuuutiful.

Aran bell was only like twelve in this thing. he goes on to win the juniors division in future years. He was chosen to be included in a ballet documentary called "first position". give him some slake i don't see you doing double tours. LIKE SERIOUSLY DON'T MESS WITH MY HOME BOY YOU GOT THAT.

Geez, I would HATE be a judge on the panel for this level of talent... seems like it would be excruciating to have to differentiate between first, second, and third!
