You should run the maximus and the pirate side by side in a bash
Yes, arrows facing forward b/c it spreads the water out. If you had it the other way, it would wedge into the back of the arrow (the v-shaped thingy). My guess anyway.

Yes I believe that the tires have been put on correctly. The tire tread is always supposed to plow, not shovel...

you should be able to just push the bent body back into shape
Just bought the redcat shredder xt and replaced the spur gear with a hardened one and I hardened the pinion gear myself as that's not offered as well as siliconed the receiver. Even in 4s with 6200 80c batts it kills this and is so stable and reliable with those small changes You should review this as it has recently took off on the views of it. You need to show it.
Not sure if it matters which direction with those tyres.
As a side note; a great way to stop ballooning or losing tyres - 1 x wrap of duct tape on inside of tyres, stuck down with e6000, then glue tyres with same glue. That e6000 is both strong and flexible enough to hold both tape and wheels to tyres. Great vid guys :)

On a technical note, I've actually switched from 60fps back to 30 on a lot of my stuff, I find UA-cam's compression nowadays is far more damaging to our uploads. This one looks good, however, I've noticed while watching some of the big names on UA-cam who have been leading the way with video quality, that there are now some flaws in their quality. I use 4k/30fps for slow crawling/trail videos, or low light. 4k/60fps when there is a lot of light and for fast moving shots/bashing etc.. And 2.7k/120fs or 1080p/120fps for slow mos. Keep up the good work on entertaining us

Looks like a decent truck for the price. Yes the tires are on right. Yes the video is awesome, very smooth. What, no 4S battery? Abbey, when you guys bash the Maximus and the Pirates 3 together sneak in a 4S battery and blow Nate's doors off!!! Hahaha!

The tires are on the same direction as the photos on the banggood page. Sometimes I take photos of my tires on the truck so if I forget which way they go I can refer back to the photos.

Hey Nate hey Abby, this truck is the perfect chance to get an aftermarket body since this one is bent and twisted. Maybe y'all could go pick one out and do a video on trimming and painting a body. Love the truck way bigger than my zd 10427 which is in need of gearing because locked diffs don't last on 3s lol

My favorite part of the truck are the wheels. Also, what camera do you guys use? I love the 60fps, I can 100% tell the different, u couldn’t tell the difference cause youtube set it as 30fps, but after switching to 60frames, the video is so smooth and nice!
Take a blow dryer to the bed while its pinned and pull the dent up and out. So it dont look so bad. Great video

My opinion on tires is you are correct.

Nate keep the Maximus. Abby hope you have better luck with ZD-racing than I did. Had one 2 years ago, it's a piece truck now. Lots of extra screws anyway

In the link you gave the pictures of the truck show all the tires mounted with the "arrow" treads pointing forward (when at the 12 o'clock position). However, IMHO, with that pattern, it wouldn't make a dimes worth of difference if they were mounted the opposite way.
I do appreciate the input, and I feel the same way. The tread pattern is nearly identical either way. Sweet tires though, dont ya think!? 👍⚓😃

Maybe the tires are inside out? Just line them up with the ailerons and then you know they are installed correctly. 🤣 Seriously though, you can really notice the quality watching on the tv. Looks good guys!

60fps makes a BIG difference! 30fps is fine for unboxing but anything with speed should be 60fps

You should shoot that truck on 4s as an upgraded review. 3s lipo is too slow for a truck that size.
Thats the same transmitter as the dumbo transmitter. the dumbo comes with a 5 channel receiver. And i haven't been able to go out of range with it yet.
