A year ago i remember Brad always seemed sad, downswings seem to have gotten to him.. now it’s a complete turnaround.. even on losing sessions you can tell he is enjoying the moment & just in a overall happy state of mind. 🙏👏🏻👍🏻
Poker can be brutal and I think it's important to convey the emotions you go through when playing/dealing with variance is part of your job. I kind of feel a responsibility to show young people who want to play for a living that it isn't always easy, or even always enjoyable.
To be fair, Brad has made such amazing videos that even if he loses, he's still making money. He has almost half a million subscribers, with videos that are over 15 minutes long, and consist of all original content. So even if he loses a thousand or two playing poker, he's still making a thousand or two on the video.

If it makes you feel any better, I flopped top set of jacks on the top board in a double board bomb pot two weeks ago, turned quads, and then got to showdown with the other guy showing a jack-high straight flush on that board. Pain

Dude I'm in shock right now, I just came back from playing 1/2 at my favorite local Poker Room. I did very well just up until the last hand and I was stacked thank you for posting this! Similar to this I hung around with a few people whom I've met in the last couple days playing the tables there. At the end of a day of Thrills and wins followed by ultimate defeat, I feel like I wasted no time or money. The excitement of the big hands like the quad sevens I had as well as the laughs with a very friendly table. If poker wasn't involved I would pay good money to feel like that!
This is a really good example of why PLO double board bomb pots can be so profitable-even good players often call off their stack multi-way when they only have a shot at half the pot. Top set of 9’s can never be the nuts, and sure enough he was flipping against a wrap for only half the pot.
I won $1100 profit on my first ever holdem double board bomb pot...just super nutted on both board...got lucky and had a maniac stacking off into me. After a little while I realized real quick that the variance and risk to reward really isn't worth it. You're normally stacking off, just to chop. I stopped playing them.

Of course there are gonna be people willing to stack off with less than the nuts on one board, a full ring of players bombing 2-5 BBs each craters the SPR. sure, someone's gonna get a decent chance to stack the fish, but who gets that chance is a matter of pure luck since everyone is seeing the flop with random cards. once the fish is stacked, he's taking the easy money with him. if I sit down at a poker table it's to play poker, not gamble. if i wanted to gamble, i'd be playing any other game in the place.
Hey Brad, sorry to hear about your loss at Hustler. I used to live in L.A., and played at many of the card casinos there. If it's to any consolation, the Hustler was the toughest card casino I ever played at (with the possible exception being at Commerce). Had better luck at the Bicycle Club, and at Hollywood Park (I believe you did too). Additional note: The girls do have cute outfits at the Hustler. It's between there and Hawaiian Gardens for the cutest outfits in the area. ☺

Check the turn on the set of Aces hand. You have the spade re-draw, and he’s loaded with flushes that got there. What’s your plan if he jams turn over your bet? You give him a chance to bluff a lot wider on river and lose less when he made his flush

Stud 8 and Omaha 8 and PLO8 can be different because there is not always a low, but in this game, there are ALWAYS 2 winner. I think it would be OK to bet pot with your hand from the button if nobody bets, but otherwise be very cautious
