Jasmine is one of my favorites! This time of the year the neighborhoods in New Orleans smell heavenly! Cherish the precious memories of Justine. Big hug
Your neighborhood seems like such a good place for walks. Not so crowded with people or cars. I enjoyed your stories of Justin. My dog also died last July, and I miss him so much. He was my constant companion for 14 years. My walks are lonely without him now, but I have lots of good memories. I'm so glad you're both coming to Hawaii really soon! I will keep an eye out for you. Don't worry about your hair! 😆 You could never look "horrid." 😄 Have fun with your family! Relax and don't worry about working so hard. We will always be here when you're ready to put out another video! Have a good trip! 😊
Shinichi, I remember bumping into you in Kamakura in June 2018. You were friendly, definitely not scary😄, and your hair was perfect👍👦🏻! We enjoyed chatting with you and have happy memories of the encounter. Perhaps our paths will cross again one day. In the meantime, I’m keeping my fingers crossed that the borders will reopen soon and our Japan adventures can begin anew 🛫🇯🇵💕. Over the past couple of years you have given us so many ideas for future travels. We are eager to visit Nagasaki, and many other places, because of your videos. Thank you so much for all your hard work. You are an inspiration and we can’t thank you enough 🙏🏻
I’m so sorry and so sad that you lost your Justin. I also miss my dog so much…. she was 17 years old and passed away August 2021. I still think of her everyday…..it’s like losing a family member. You’ll always keep good memories and love for Justin in your heart. Hope I bump into you and Satoshi in Hawaii….would love to meet you guys in person! ❤️
A walk down memory lane where Justin once walked was very special. I'm so happy to hear your going to Hawaii best news ever. You live in such a beautiful neighborhood the flowers are so pretty and we learnt a new word in Japanese Thankyou Shinichi spending big Hugs 🫂 for Justin. 💛💛💛
Shinichi, I still grieve every dog I have had, and cherish the one I still have. She loves to go for a ride in the car almost every day, and loves to get in the water to cool herself down. Dogs make us slow down and let us notice things we wouldn't otherwise notice.
Thanks for sharing some great memories of Justin, being a pet owner is the greatest joy and greatest heartbreak at the same time. Make sure you get some poke at Ono Seafood, and some short ribs + fried rice at Side Street Inn when you're back in Hawaii!!
I'm crying and smiling while hearing you reminisce about Justin and his favourite places to walk and poo! Makes me remember my dogs who have all passed on now. ♥
Oh Justin, he was such a sweet dog! And you guys took such good care of him. I hope you guys get another dog soon. I think Justin would want you too!❤️
Goodness, this video was so nice and peaceful. I know all places have issues but living in Tokyo honestly seems like a dream for me! Thanks for the video ❤️
Aloha from Hawaii! Thank you for sharing about your walks with Justin. We are grateful that we have our dog but I often wondered if we will still walk the neighborhood afterwards. It maybe hard in the beginning, but our dog has brought us closer to our neighborhood families and have made many new doggie friends along with their human families. While visiting Hawaii, may I suggest going to Kabuki in Aiea for your Okazuya, Richies’s in Kalihi (similar to Rainbows, but better), and Kuru Kuru for your Poke ( Mini Spicy Ahi Don & Karaage Chicken are my go to). Have a wonderful visit with your family and keep safe! 😎🙏🌺
You read my mind! I was just wondering last week when you might do another neighbourhood walk video. 😊😊😊 This makes me happy. These vids of your neighbourhood are always my favourite. Thank you! 🙏
It was nice remembering Justin and his walks. He was so kawaii. Oh you got thinking about cake noodle now. Take away dim sum on Maunakea Street, Sun Cheong Yuan Bakery. I think it's next to Nam Fong. I would go there early. There's a long line. Also, there a Tim Ho Wan in Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center. If you to Chun Wah Kam, the have custard manapua with almond cookie on it. That you might want to order ahead of time. Have fun!
Thanks for the tour. I am always amazed how different the neighbourhoods in other countries look like. Canadian neighbourhoods have a little more space and our streets are wider with sidewalks.
Aw, sweet Justin ❤ Dog routes are usually a series of scent memories for them, so they want to go where they can tell what has changed since their last walk, I think.
Hi Shinichi, Always Enjoy your local walks around your neighbourhood , love seeing the different styles of houses and the plants and shrubs. Love azaleas 🌺 too. Liked hearing your stories about Justin and miss him in your videos . Looking forward to seeing you guys in Hawaii . Take care , have a great weekend everyone. 😀👍🐕
Shinichi as you know lots of our favorite Manapua shops has closed. I found that I started to go to Chun Wah Kam. Unless you go downtown somewhere. I wish I could be in Hawaii while you’re there, I’m still hoping it may happen! Safe travels! 💜
I love these walking videos. THey are very relaxing and fun. I have your videos on while I work from home and it helps make the day go by :) I hope you have a lot of fun in HAWAII!
Yes I remember them walks with Justin!!! He’s just watching you now shinichi!!! I did miss these walks around your hood too!!!🏃🏼♂️👍🏻 That’s handy the new 7/11 24hour great!!!
I love these little walks you go on. Seeing the flowers & varied architecture is so interesting. I love architecture! Your trip videos are wonderful but these walking videos are more personal.
It's wonderful to see that you are able to walk the same streets you did with Justin and they have changed to fond loving memories. I still have a hard time walking streets I always used to walk my baby angel. I do really enjoy your walking videos Shinichi! I don't know if it's just me but at the beginning of this video I could only hear from my left ear head phones but right after your "Camera Froze" at 11:29 it became stereo. It didn't really bother me but just wanted to tell you.
You will get this message by the time you have been in Hawaii for a few days. I hope you are enjoying your visit with Family and Friends. I really enjoy your simple walking videos especially of your neighborhood or visiting a "neighboring" neighborhood to give use a "person in the street" perspective of the real Japan. By the way, out pets are always special and reminiscing your walks is good therapy for the soul...that's one thing our pets will always give us...good memories. I also have my local favorites and please bare with me since these may just be redundant but still worth mentioning. Foodland...this is our favorite for Poke (ahi / oyster sauce) Manuapua (U-Choice In @ Don Quijote or Chun Wah Kam Kalihi; I prefer the Kalihi shop...just the local atmosphere is worth it...you could take a short walk to Savers and check out what local donations are on the shelf) Lau Lau (Marukai Kalihi; open early in the a.m. and they have hugh lau lau that you can pick up frozen. You can get the pork or the butter fish/pork...or you could still stick around in this neighborhood and go to Young's Market at the Kapalama Shopping Center) Sushi...lot's of places but we stumbled across the Makoto Sushi Aiea Shopping Center. Plate Lunch...do not forget North Shore Grinds...no they are not on the north shore they are on 10th Avenue in Kaimuki. My favorite is the chicken tonkatsu (the sauce is great)...they have quite a selection. Wayne is the owner and chef. Burgers...yes burgers are my favorite when son used to ask where I wanted to eat for Father's Day. While I like Teddy's my favorite is Kuaaina Haleiwa Town Center they open at 11:00 so go to Paalaa Kai Bakery and get at least a dozen Snow Puffy specialty pastry to take home to Mom. Or if burgers not your thing...go to the Haleiwa Beach House great sit down dining and the ambience and view of Haleiwa Harbor is fantastic. Not over the top...nice local atmosphere. Walk in only no reservations...just get there before 11:00, Alvin Yim is the Manager...very congenial individual. If you can let him give you a recap on how they bought and rebuilt this restaurant and a history of the fish pond legacy they started in the back...very, very interesting. O.K. that's it...that's enough. I will attempt to PM/DM you.
In these Japanese walking videos, there's always a comment on how clean the streets are. I'll repeat that comment again here, because... just look how clean the streets are!!!!! I live in New York City, and it's.... ugh
Just found your channel and love all videos that I have been able to watch! I like it when you take walks all around and Share the scenery with your viewers!
Shinichi the 1st video that I watched of yours was you walking 🚶 Justin 🐶 through your neighbourhood. This was a nostalgic and emotional video. Whenever we see a dog 🐶 like Justin nearby we say look that's Justin. May his beautiful soul rest in peace always. ✌️ 💖 🙏 Levent 🦁
It's nice to see green areas because I have left with the impression there isn't many trees on the streets in bigger cities in Japan. So that is nice to see :) Me and Stan miss Justin so much too. We have a cat Koliyo that looks so much like Justin visually you will be surprised Shinichi :) We often think of him when we watch your videos and sometimes play one just to see him too. We will be relocating this year in Europe and can't take our 3 cats because of the airplane requirements at this time this is equal to loose them and the pain is inevitable :( life has funny decisions for one sometime it takes something from you to give you something else doesn't it? I am happy to hear you will be visiting your mama in Hawaii too :) Thank you again for the nice walk
👍🏽👍🏽🥰 an enjoyable walk as always! It was fun, scenic and beautiful but I really wanted to see the inside of that unmanned gyoza shop... maybe some other time or video you could feature it again?
Aloha from Hawaii! It's May 14 so you are likely either here already or soon to arrive. I can't believe one of your cravings is Panda Express! LOL! For okazuya though, we like Kabuki in Waimalu (Aiea) or Nuuanu OKazuya. Manapua choices have dwindled as Char Hung Sut and Libby's closed. You have to go to Sing Cheong Yuan in Chinatown. Also in Chinatown, you should go to Golden Palace for cake noodles because you can also get dim sum at the same time. Well, thanks for taking a Justin memory walk! Bet you can't wait to see mom and Niki!
When you’re in Hawaii, go to the Roast Duck Kitchen in the Aiea Shopping Center, 2nd floor, for the best roast pork with cake noodles! So good! Just don’t mind the Chinese lady who takes your order….. she doesn’t have the best people skills! LOL!!!! 🤣
Shin-chan, Could you provide more details of the rig you use? You mentioned using a GoPro. Settings? Are you also using a gimbal or the GoPro Volta? I am pleased with your footage...maybe you could do a short video on your set up. Thanks!
i am curious. Did Justin have any walking booties? if not that can explain why he stuck to the left so much. he wanted to cross asphalt as minimally as possible. because it can get extremely hot and burn their paws. example when it is around 29c outside the asphalt can be as high as 55c. if they have thick pads on their feet they can usually do something like cross a street without much issue as its just a few seconds but yeah that would absolutely explain why he stuck so much to the cement side and why he snuffed so much becasue other dogs are doing the same. just an item of note if you ever get another puppy that you might want to consider training them wear the booties as part of their walk routine since you don't seem to have much in the way of sidewalks
I have always found that the easiest way to get over the heartbreak of losing a pet was to get another. I never thought of it as being disrespectful . . . more that they had brought me so much joy I wanted to experience it again. Justin was a cutie.
I don't walk the dog the dog walks me lol and yes dogs like to keep their business in certain spots. I have a yorkshire terrier. Stubbornness dog I ever met. Also I really like your neighborhood
Oh, we all miss Justin. But thinking of him always makes me smile. He is still bringing happiness to us.💖

Royal Kitchen makes our favorite baked manapua. We've gotten steamed manapua from Chun Wah Kam. Sometimes it was mostly bun, and not much meat.
@@mauison I do prefer steamed. Grew up eating steamed
Shinichi, love your walk today and sharing the good memories of Justin. 💝
Excited to hear you are making a trip to Hawaii. Hope you have a great time, and hope I see you around town. Can't wait to see where you end up going.

the stories of Justin are so cute and funny! this was nice, I've been thinking of my cat a lot (she was 14, passed a couple months before Justin) ❤
I really can understand you feel when you walk the way where had Justin before, my dog also passway in March.

I absolutely love these videos! The left channel only audio is difficult to listen to with headphones on though. D:
My bad. I was trying out my new mic and I wasn’t sure how to use it properly. It wont happen next time.
