Haven’t been to Felixstowe for several years but I too find it interesting to go round old buildings and yes I love exploring tunnels and passageways, they are dark and mysterious if not creepy but that just adds to the fascination of it all. Nice vlog Gaby👍
PMSL at you and Tim having a 'dance' in them old showers. You both really do make me laugh so thank you 😂😂 Just shows how Tim has always had a thing for showers as there is a shower for each person so everyone can shower together.... haha 😂😂
It looks like a good place to visit if your in to history, see that they had number with a microphone. I live near the sea as well. I don't really go down to the beach a lot, maybe walking along the sea wall, am not really a beach fan now how I used to be.
Hey, I'm a volunteer at Landguard Fort I'm going to answer a few of your questions. The fort you see is from two dates the front bit and with the massive walls is from 1744 ( George II ) - the inner parade is from 1875 ( Queen Victoria ) there has been multiple fort in that area. Landguard Fort is the place of the last land invasion of England in 1667 when Dutch invaded over nutmeg. We are the home of the Royal Marines. The moat never had water in it, in fact under the stones on the left as you come in is a tennis court. However, when Felixstowe flooded in th 50s there was alot of water in there as most of the ground floor and tunnels were underwater. Landguard Fort is run by the Landguard Fort trust so it's an association with English Heritage. The fort is mostly run by volunteers via a couple of paid staff. If you have any more questions please comment. Glad you had a great time.
