@@GhekOffical basically in my one, there is a option emergency alerts, and after clicking on it there comes one setting as "activate text to speech alerts" 💬 😀
I REMEMBER DISSS. Edit: I remember being in the car and getting a bad feeling about something and then a regular eas alarm that sounded like that but I didn't take it like a normal person. My eyes became WIDE open looking at the phone and shivering like crazy for no friggen reason.
I got my EAS alert two days ago during school and I had my guard down. I heard my phone go off in my backpack and my ears were hurting because of the amount of interpreters in the room 💀 my fully deaf friend said "its the end of y'alls careers" or smth 😭
i hear that alert sometimes when there is like a child abduction and it always makes me jump when i hear it usually it pops up on the tv at my parents house (me and a sibling recently started renting our own apartment so i don’t live with my parents anymore) but i have also been using my phone for an alarm when i need to wake up early in the morning so sometimes it plays on my phone
@@SylveonGamerJake yeah they are made to get people’s attention and it works that’s for sure but there are some for other countries that are even more creepy i watched this hour long zombie outbreak eas scenario 2 video series that has all of the emergency alerts for every country
I’m pretty sure it says to keep your foot *off* the break. This is because then your lights shine and people behind you might think that you are on the road when you really aren’t and accidentally hit you. Visibility in dust storms is no joke, sometimes there’s none at all basically.
When the NWS freaks out and says "Stay Alive" that some serious sh*t. I'm a trained spotter and have never seen that kind of language used in an EAS before.
@@StormChaserMaci. It’s like the Turn around Don’t Drown slogan. And dust storms are very serious once a dust storm warning gets issued. It means 1/4 mile or less visibility from blowing dust if I remember correctly. They’re most common around the desert southwest in the monsoon season, but in dry years we’ll get them too in Kansas.
When I watched this with my friends in my bed, now all of us were hiding in our blankets, sticking to each other, hugging our stuff toys. Put pillows, and now not playing that sound anymore cuz on how scary it was lol.
Lol. Yea, it’s not a direct killer unless someone has really bad breathing problems. Most of the deaths from a dust storm would be car accidents or wind damage/danger.
This actually scares the heck out of me😭😭😭😭What I usually think about is a emergency alert and it’s night time and the topic is a large monster with dark hole eyes and it’s in the woods next to my neighborhood 💀
Trust me, the one you got wasn’t that bad. Dust storms are easy to avoid. Just get in a building and lock your doors and windows. But one I got before was a tornado warning. My family just kept on sleeping like they didn’t care. I was shaking to death and I just wasn’t having it. So please follow the directions on the alert message and you will be fine.
Dust storms aren’t bad unless you’re on the road or outside. Then your in trouble for visibility and breathing reasons. I’ve been in *multiple* tornado warnings having grown up on the plains. They should be taken very seriously.
Yea. Tornado warnings aren’t that bad unless if you hear the wind stop, and hear a loud roar similar to a freight train, then you need to take shelter. The tornado has just formed. I remember 2 days ago a tornado hit Clarksville tn and it was huge probably like an EF2 or EF3 but it killed 6 people and injured 23.
Having your lights off is a bad idea because if a car is driving, you can get hit and the crash can or maybe get worse so keep your lights on if you’re in the car
I got this dust storm one 3 days ago. Thursday, August 31, 2023 at 8:34 PM MST. It lasted until 10:30pm, then reissued until 11:15pm, but at that point it was just a rainstorm.
I just woke up to this…. I ALMOST GOT SLEEP PARALYSIS BECAUSE OF THIS IN THE MORNING BECAUSE I DAMN KNOW THAT THAT ISNT AN ALARM I SET😭😭😭 it’s a red weather alert of a “veryyyyyyy heavy rainfall and flash floods😢
I think it might be useful for Apple and the Government to implement TTS into emergency alerts, so if you are in a situation where it’s unsafe to look at your phone (e.g. Driving) you can still be informed about an alert for something like a tornado where time is of the essence.
