you are a legend. I am now conflicted with two choices: 1. Continue watching you play, and get more motivated 2. Continue watching you play, and burn my guitars. lol You are amazing Daniel! Keep up the great work!
@@danieldonato I'm into very simple Johnny Cash sort of stuff and tend to pen things that are more reminiscent of Marty Robbins. Should I still learn the guitar like this if my specialty is lyrics? Will it make me a better song writer?
Holy shit! I took a photo of that kid on that day and never forgot how badass his playing was. I had no idea that I was seeing THE Daniel Donato!!! proof: ibb.co/tQFjThM
I saw you perform at a Juke Joint in Nashville when you were 17 years old. You played a phenomenal lead solo to Truck Driving Man . I stood and watched you in awe ! I most certainly didn’t walk by as folks in video. You knocked the socks off of the audience . They made you pack it up at 9pm because of your age. You most certainly impressed me !
I think i saw u on cmt when u were 14 ,15 . Takes a lota guts n drive to do some of the things uv done , like here . All by ur lonesome , no doubt ull go far . My hats off to u sir . Stay cosmic .
Do some of your Don Kelky band days...Maybe break down some down some of those licks... I think I had your first ever Skype lesson with you a few years back...I have it recorded 😊
I can hear my mam saying how cute you are and my da saying how brilliant you are and that I should ask you for lessons. 10 years ago I was 44 and by that time I 'd been playing 28 years semi- professionally and professionally (record contract included) and he'd have been right. Always a joy. 😎🎸✅
It was awesome to see your reaction to your younger self. And yes, of course how you were showing us on some of the licks you were doing back than, you played it a lot better. I've heard a lot of famous Guitar players and not so famous ones that has played for many many years how they forgot how they even done some of their hot licks, lol. Almost like they had to go back and relearn again. I was that way, I play the Bass for 43 years and when I hear myself playing back when I was in my 20s and 30s, I forgot how that's even done. Sometimes it will take me a while to remember again. Playing the Bass guitar, you do have some nice licks as well as those on the regular guitar.
Is that a rosewood neck? I got a surf green American pro tele with a rosewood neck, i love it. It reminds me of your surf green tele. I just need the white pickup selector button like u got lol
What I'd meant to write was how shocking it is that people are just passing you by without the courtesy of acknowledgement. If you were doing this in Chester (UK) you would have a semi circle crowd around you, 50 plus people. You would have made a fair bit of money too.😎🎸✅
Right on. You are my favorite new teacher. Love your videos and you inspire me to push the envelope and learn new styles. Love what you are doing with the Dead tunes as well. Carry the torch!
Daniel, I have to know. I believe every musician has their insecurities or shortfalls. Is there any aspect of your playing that you’re not particularly satisfied with? Maybe it’s a style of playing you wish you had more time to develop. Or composing. Sight reading. Etc.
Am I really suppose to believe you only picked up a guitar for the 1st time a year before the vid? If that's true then it is unreal. 24 hr practice sessions 365 days unreal.
You are extremely talented, but as a technician, not a musician. I'ts like technician Johnny Hiland (one of my all time favorites) vs musician Brad Paisley (one of the most underrated guitarists). Where's the flavor dude? Perfect balance: Buster B Jones

Goodness me? This is just one year of practice?

Is that the same sea foam green guitar Daniel plays now? Insane if it is
Once a Telecaster man, always a Telecaster man. Respect!
Jimmy Page disagrees, so does Clapton
