    Although I am a native English speaker I like watching these kinds of videos to get inspiration for studying my target language which is Korean. The only unfortunate thing is that there are so many materials available for English learners but not Korean learners. I can’t just look up a website for scripts in Korean because there are none. I also am not sure if I should use so much of my time creating one… hmmm… I guess if I like a show a lot I will eventually get to the script at some point. Your English is amazing by the way!

      Hi :) I guess Netflix has the entire Friends series available in French with French subtitles.
      So you can start to practice with Friends in French. And download the subtitles and create your scripts in French. That would be a perfect beginning for your French learning journey.
      Also, you can practice with the scripts of UA-cam videos in French. But i don’t recommend you start with this method until you’re completely ready for it. This is something you should do when you’re at least a year into your French learning journey.
      As for Turkish unfortunately, i don’t watch any Turkish series or follow UA-camrs from Turkey. So i have no idea what TV show would be good for learning Turkish.

    • @arsenkocaoglu
      @arsenkocaoglu  2 місяці тому

      Hi :)) I actually talked about this issue in some of my videos. It definitely wouldn’t work. The main reason is we don’t speak in a way that dialogues are written in a book. But most importantly my method is all about learning English as if you’re an actor. So that’s why you need to practice with the scripts of TV shows movies and UA-cam videos. And you need to act/perform while practicing with the scripts. While practicing with scripts you force yourself to imagine the scenes from the TV show. And without even realizing you put yourself in the character's situation while speaking English/repeating the lines from the script. And that makes the most important difference when it comes to learning English with scripts. So technically this method has nothing to do with reading. Imagine that you’ll go to an audition and you need to get ready for it :))
      If you want to learn more about my method i created a playlist where i share every single detail. Here’s the link: ua-cam.com/video/8I0rjqczeS0/v-deo.html

    • @arsenkocaoglu
      @arsenkocaoglu  2 місяці тому +1

      Never try to memorize the lines. If you try to memorize lines it will be a complete waste of time and you will make no progress. You just keep a few lines in your head and try to repeat them without looking at the script as you picture the scenes from the movie in your head.
      If you plan on trying this method I’d suggest you watch this playlist where i explain every important detail of my method. And then you can decide what to do :)) If you have any other questions about this method always feel free to ask :))

      Almost 7 years ago I was a beginner and I had no idea how to learn English by myself. So I created my method which I call the script method/AK method. So yes I completely learned English by myself with this method :)) I didn't take any courses/lessons. I've never had a chance to practice English with a native English speaker. And I never left the country in my life. This is the only way of learning English for me. I improved my speaking skills/listening skills/vocabulary/writing with this method.

How exactly you're doing this method, maybe you turn on a video and speak instead of character, how exactly would one go about doing this method? Thanks!

      After watching the playlist if you still have questions about my method feel free to ask :)
      As for your other question: How long did it take me to get to that level?
      At the end of the first 6 months: I started speaking English and making basic sentences.
      At the end of the first year: I gained enough confidence to go out there and to teach my friends English voluntarily so that I can speak English in real life by teaching it.
      At the end of the second year: I reached a point where I decided to start a UA-cam channel in English.
      Since then I've never stopped speaking English. Because no matter how good you are at speaking English if you don’t find a way to use it you’ll end up getting rusty.

    Hey Arsen, how are you? I know you have said it's not good to study through books, because it's not how people speak in daily life, but i think Assimil books could work since they use real life dialogues with audio, what do you think?

    • @arsenkocaoglu
      @arsenkocaoglu  2 місяці тому

      Hey, I'm doing great :) Thank you so much! I hope you’re doing well too.
      If you think that might work the best for you ofc you can give it a go. But if you ask me what i would do...
      The first thing is, yes, the way we speak in real life is different from the way dialogues are written in books. But there’s also another HUGE factor that makes learning English with scripts so effective.
      When you practice with scripts there are emotions involved. Imagine that you practice with the scripts of your favorite movies TV shows and UA-camrs. What happens in the process of practicing with scripts is: that you start to picture the scenes in your head while repeating your favorite character's lines. You hear their voice in your head their gestures reactions stories and everything. As if you get into the character live everything vicariously through them. So that process helps you make memories in that language. If you watch my other videos you’ll see that i show you guys many times how i remember hundreds of words from my old studies.
      Let me give you another example: in your real life from 10 years now do you think you you will easily be able to remember the memories that you spent with your gf/bf/best friend? Or the time that you spend with someone who's very dull and boring?
      For me, the English learning process needs to be fun and most importantly it needs to make me feel something. Otherwise, there is no way i could’ve learned English. That rule applies to everything i do in my life.
      So for your question: if those books that you mentioned have real-life dialogues of course you can practice with them. But the real question is will those dialogues make you feel emotions and enjoy this process? And will you be able to picture/visualize the scenes while practicing English?
      By the way, i'd highly recommend you listen to audiobooks when you go outside take a walk, etc. Expose yourself to English as much as possible. Make it not part of your life but your whole life :)
      If you have any other questions you can always ask me :) Wishing you the best.
