My oldest daughter has homeschooled all 5 of her kids. 2 are graduated 1 graduates 🎓 this year, 2 more to go!! I have 12 amazing grandkids!! The other 2 girls have homeschooled a few years but the kids were older and wanted to get involved with some of the activities at school they’re all doing great!!! You’re doing a great job!!! God bless!!
@@louisegustafson3409 This is a quilting group. I would not be negative to you, please do not be negative towards me. My kids are amazing, they were in basketball, plays, musicals, 4-H, and each of them play and instruments. They had lots of friends!
I see you're still schooling. I thought the kiddos might be grown up and you'd repurposed the room for sewing, I just saw that delectable room. Now I see this updated room too. Greetings from Australia :)
Every school outfit needs a few cat hairs! Nice to see Jax supervising your efforts. Looks great! Love the desks & lighting. I think organizing is key to a good school year.
I love your room! We bought those drawers a few years ago after seeing your videos and my girls love them. Can you share more about your end of day wrap up meeting? Thank you!
Sure, at the end of the day I meet one-on-one with my kids for about 5-10 min, and we go over all of their work and grade it together. We discuss what they have the next day, if they have any homework or tests to study for etc. It's just a nice way for them to get me one-on-one, ask questions, and make sure they've gotten everything done for the day.
Wonderful setup! Your girls are benefiting from your hard work and theirs. Homeschool is the biggest blessing in more ways than one. So much is missed in public school. Your relationship with your kids, their information gathering and learning about human history…it’s all just not focused on in a secular setting. Go Arendt girls!
i dont know the background are you a teacher?and why did you decide to home school/its all so beautiful and organized and i think you are amazing you do so much
Hi, I wasn't originally a teacher, however we decided to homeschool back when my oldest was in preschool and just kept going! You can read more about why we chose to homeschool on my website under 'about us' :)
Oh wow! They grow up so fast! Hard to believe he’s a senior. Bless your heart mama! You’ve done a wonderful job with your kiddos! Thank you for inspiring and encouraging all of us. ❤️
Both my oldest are doing concurrent enrollment classes at a community college. They're online, so they're still at home, but not in the school room as all of their classes are zoom.
Your brave, I wouldn’t forgive myself if my kids failed, I’m lucky my kids r in their late 20’s and both have great jobs, but the responsibility u r taking on, needs congratulating, both mine were educated in the uk. Good luck
A bright and beautiful place to learn. Good for you on the homeschooling. Loved that the children have a Bible in their desks. Blessings to you all.
What a beautiful room you have! Happy home school year! I sure miss those days.
Me too. But I still have my wonderful 26 yr old “ex-student” to seek knowledge with. 🥰
I love the desks with drawers down the side (underneath). Do you remember where you bought those?

I love those lights that at under the cabinets. Are those linked too?!
No, I didn't link those, they put them in when we finished our basement, they're electric light bars.
Looks beautiful.

As always, your schoolroom is beautiful! And Jax is a super cute helper! What kind of cat is he?
He's a rescue kitty so I'm not sure what his breed is other than black and white long hair :)

Is your son not doing homeschool anymore? I didn’t notice you mention his desk or area.
He's a senior this year and taking all concurrent enrollment college classes through a community college.

Where did you purchase the desks? I know the drawers came from IKEA. Also did the cabinets on top come from ikea too?

May I ask how you made your L shaped desk? Is that just two of the table tops made in that shape? Thank you!
Yes, it's just two of the smaller desk tops, one turned sideways.
❤️

In Europe we are not home teaching the kids. They go to scool.
Yes, we have the choice to homeschool in the US, it is becoming a more and more popular option.
