Ok I have never commented on UA-cam- but I wanted to say how blessed I am to see someone here who is seasoned and has true wisdom through life experience to share! I see so many young mothers blogging and I learn a lot, but in homeschooling I’m often void in long-term homeschooling family resources in the internet. Bless you. Seriously.
Wow!! 10 years of homeschooling!! That’s awesome!! I have 4 kiddos, 9 and under.. we’re going on our 5th year homeschooling... I still feel like I’m barely getting to know how I want to homeschool... 😬
It'll be 9 years next month and I'm still figuring it out. There's what I want and there's the reality of my children's personalities and interests, so it's a constant juggle.
here is a idea put the other 2 desks near the chalboard and slide that table that has a screen next to eachother and have them use heaphones so you have space for a bookshelf :D
I love it! My dream is to have something as peaceful and minimalist as your space. You have done such an amazing job at keeping just what you need and it looks beautiful!
Thank you so much! I've learned to just start with what I can and it will eventually add up. That's not my natural way of working, but it's brought great blessings to just be at peace with the process.
I’m inspired.. I would love to see more videos!! I’ve been using MP for years but have not done well with it this year due to life lol! So I’m taking your ideas... brilliant Displays and flash cards!
Beautiful room! Thank you for sharing! Do you use Rod and Staff for math? One thing that deters me from those materials is when I review samples, I feel like it is heavily teacher intensive and requires a very formal presentation each day... a flannel board, chalk board, manipulative, etc. If you can make it work with all your children, I’m sure I could figure it out too lol. But just curious.... where do you store all those things or is it even really necessary in a homeschool setting? Can the R&S math be more independent than it initially seems?
Thank you, Amanda! We took a break from Rod & Staff while I was sick this past year, but we're planning to return to it now that I'm on the mend. I love how thorough it is. My older two are in VideoText, but everyone else will rely on me with R&S. It does need a teacher lesson, but I've found they don't take more than 10-20 minutes (depending on the child and their age). Also, the older levels include some teaching in the book itself while the teacher led portion is mostly review, drill, etc. That helps, too. For the manipulatives: some kids really benefit from them while others don't seem to need them. But they can be stored very compactly! Post #8 in this thread has pictures of the binder I made for them: forum.memoriapress.com/forum/classical-curriculum/simply-classical-for-special-needs-and-struggling-students/9925-r-s-math-2 The links toward the top of the thread could be printed and used for the binder. You'll just want to print the bees and clovers at a smaller size. HTH!
About how big is this school room? I'm thinking of getting a shed (insulating it and making it pretty inside 😊) to use as a school room and can't decide on what size.
We actually found these on FB Marketplace. A parochial school about an hour away from us was selling over a hundred of them! We sanded the seats, sealed them with Tung Oil, and then painted the metal sections with Rustoleum enamel paint in the color Canvas White.
Unfortunately, she’s set in her ways and doesn’t care much for other rabbits. But she actually gets along amazingly with our dog! She also loves to roam the house each day and insists on sitting on the couch whenever she can 😂
The desks look amazing

This moved me so much, Jadyn. It’s truly a blessing to be able to bless others in this space. Thank you so much for being here.
Very pretty and simple! And def functional. 👏

I was the same way. We didn't find our niche until our 5th or 6th year. Hang in there!
@@seekingdelectare wowsers!!! Thanks for sharing!! So there’s hope!💕💕👏🏽

This is impeccable. Would love an update! Cozy chairs? 😊
Well…we moved to a new house and no longer have a place for a school room! We school in our dining room now!

I recognize the gleaners. :) Great deal on the desks.
One of my favorite pieces of art ever!
Would love to see a more in depth video on the task bag setup and rotation.
Noted! I’m going to be refining the system as I plan for the new school year. I want to be sure it works well before sharing. 😊

I'm so sorry I didn't see this sooner. This room was about 12x15. We moved about 18 months ago and are back to schooling at our dining room table!
Where did you get those desks?
Facebook Marketplace. A parochial school about an hour from us was selling nearly a hundred of them!

The room looks lovely but the rabbit needs a friend ,bigger enclosure and toys
