@Denise Mikesell Today I appreciate your feedback. They definitely add peace of mind, being able to view the homestead anytime from anywhere.
I've been looking at security cameras but was afraid of difficult set up. I could definitely set this up. Very interested.
I think you can tell how relieved I was that it was easy. They can be so difficult.
with the amount of thefts on the rise - those are a great investment - thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching
Security cameras, motion sensors and firearms I think are a must have no matter where one lives.
Agreed, it's a technology that doesn't make sense to skimp out on.
Man those cameras are amazing quality night or day, and such an easy setup
I've been trying to see which security camera would be best for me and easy to set up but you answered my question. This is awesome. Being alone in the Texas desert you need all the security you can muster up. Sorry I haven't been commenting or viewing your videos every time you post but I soon found out that being off grid in the desert is tedious and hard work. I have to travel 70 miles to get Wi-Fi. I thought I was somewhat prepared but plans change in a heartbeat with the weather with everything. But what I have learned is patience gratitude and acceptance. I always get an answer to my questions might not be the answer I like but it's all in the god hands. The universe is powerful the short time I've been here it's taught me a lot. What I've learned all my life I'm finally getting to use now and watching your videos truly helps me out! Keep up the good work keep posting videos as soon as I get starlink I'll have my own Wi-Fi but the initial cost to moving to the desert is astronomical. I've got to find a way to make extra cash to supplement my social security. Thank you stay safe and healthy! Don't forget to check out my offgrid rooster UA-cam channel and subscribe. ☮️🙏☯️ If you could give me some pointers I would appreciate it!
Nice looking cameras. Billions and billions of possibilities. Segan's Voice.
Happy to have them
Incredible System, these Security Cameras are SWEET ! A lot of functionality for real & easy as pie setup.
Thanks John for your time explaining/demonstration.
Shared it to my Twitter that has 41k followers, hope it helps! Also shared to my Facebook...
Great! appreciate it. hope you win!
That's exactly what I'm looking for it's a great product
Thanks for doing this video...this is something we've been needing to research and appreciate you putting this video up!
I've always had cameras around the homestead but being able to monitor them on my phone from anywhere is great. They also record to the cloud if you want, they have a two way speaker, spot light and night vision. I'm happy to have them.
Congratulations guys!!
Great job! You never fail to honestly educate . Thank you 🙏
Thanks Chuck
Nice system John. Simple is sways a bonus off grid. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching
I got the same cameras they work great
The cameras look great! I’ve considered getting some as well. Thank you for another helpful video.
It's good to know they're there.
Love your channel!!
Thank you
How awesome💜
Wow. That's awesome. I need that system on my property ..🧐
It's nice to know you'll have someone's license plate, vehicle and person on camera lol. Kind of narrows down who dunnit 🤣
Nice cameras perfect for the homestead
Definitely, hope to see some wildlife on them.
These look fantastic, John! We may buy a set for our backyard. Love the magnet feature.
I'm grateful to have them. It's nice just to check in on the animals and weather.
I wanna try those
Really good picture 👍🏻👍🏻
Don't forget to vote for John on the big game hunt for a deer tag and get him $20,000 ... link it below. It's easy.
Thanks Bob!
Nice to see this work in your/similar environment. Thanks for this -- I was just discussing security cameras with a friend yesterday.
PS. The addition of solar panels on the cameras would make it perfect for off-grid homesteads. 👍🏾
Yea, even without them they only need charged about once a month.
Good to know -- thanks.
Hey John👍🏻
We are currently looking up cameras for outdoors.. need a few more around the animals👊🏻 have an absolutely awesome week💫
Sweet, there are some good options
I accidentally came across the B200 model as I was looking for a doorbell
replacement. The video on it started to seriously lag. People were coming up to my
door well in advance, unacceptable. So I started looking for something under a
$100. Cost effective enough to replace. I found the B200 and wow does the
1080p pop on this one. And it works flawlessly. The main feature I was looking
for was a magnetic mount system no drilling at all. And boy does this fit the bill.
Now I want the B210 with 2k quality. The 1080p quality definitely beats the doorbell
1080p quality big time. I wanted a real security camera this time no more doorbell
solutions. People were starting to mash the buttons too hard, I can see and hear them on
the feed.
We need a camera at my parents bad! They have had 3 seperate night in the past year where our family has been taken advantage of throughout the night
Oh no, there are some great features. If you see someone to can turn on the spot light, sound an alarm or talk to them. You can set it to automatically turn on the spotlight or use night vision so they don't know you're watching.
Seems like such a great system
Very cool...I could use it on my van👍 looking good brother, keep grinding
I would, I always wanted a camera at the door of my van and one at the rear when I was living in the city.
@@FrugalOffGrid exactly and this would be a great option, could remove it before driving off👍
100 day battery 🔋 life sounds 👌 amazing
They've been doing very well.
Cool cameras! I’m curious as to what you use for an off grid wifi set up? Lemme know! Thanks!
I have star link. It's powered by my solar system.
If you did not have wifi, would this be able to store footage?
Do the camera record wildlife? We have lots of deer and turkeys I’d love to catch videos of. I hear coyotes but only seen one in my yard once. I’d love to have video capture if they come through when we aren’t looking.
Let us know in the future if the magnetic connection holds up to those crazy windstorms out there.
They've been up 8 days in 60mph winds. No issue. They can be mounted without the magnet if you prefer.
Do they run continuously, or are they motion-activated? How sensitive is that activation(if it is)? Is it kicking on every time a cat goes by in the night, or does it need to be something more substantial? If something ran by fast, would it go on in time, like is there a delay? Alot of standard trail cameras are too slow to activate, as an example. Just wondering...
I'll be purchasing a couple of these when I get paid. Thanks for the review, brotha
Thanks for checking them out
And it's not only are the security cameras good for security but like when I'm away from my property and it's raining really bad I can see if my roads are washed out and that helps a lot cuz I live in the middle of nowhere also
Absolutely, I have one that views my livestock as well.
Was wondering how they work after a year? Do the magnetic mounts hold up in strong winds? Wea are also offgrid, high desert NE AZ.
They're fine but for the price it prefer Save 5% with code: Frugal5

4K Solar Camera Series: reolink.com/lp/4k-battery-camera-series/?aff=19
The home page for this camera is inactive.
So how long do they last on the battery? Can you just leave them plugged into power permanently? I have the Wyze camera's which seem very similar.
The Camara that's most active, I finally charged today so over 3 weeks. The other 3 cameras are still over 70% charges so at least 6 weeks. You can plug a solar charger into then.
Hey John, the Amazon US link is broken :-(
Figured you’d want to know
Thanks, if removed the link.
LOL UA-cam showed me couple ads for other security systems as I watched this.
Question: What's your internet/wifi setup at the homestead. Is it expensive?
They can't compete 😅 I have starlink. I think it's reasonable for what it is. It was like $700 up front then $110mo. I used to pay about $140 a mo for phone service to get enough hot spot to run my business. With start link I downgraded my phone plan to $35mo so monthly I spend less and have fast internet always.
@@FrugalOffGrid Good info. Frugal Internet 😀 Thx
Can it be used without WiFi and ho
w long does the battery last
@tworebelsoffgrid You guys won the giveaway
what is the battery life?
Should last a month with heavy use or infinite with a solar panel
Looks like instalation is simple.
Yes, very easy
How much are the camera's a piece?
They're about $140ea or you can get the 1080p version 2 for $120.
Are they easy to recharge?
Just grab it and plug it in once a month or get a solar panel.
😃👍👍
It's funny that you called them off-grid when they don't work without Wi-Fi that's what the company says and all of the user say
3:01am send me a free camera
Send me also an Oder form so I can order more than one.
