Recently, a drone operator voluntarily assisted the authority to search a missing person in a wooded area. It took him less than 30 min to find the missing girl. Oddly, all MSM praised the drone owner and the usefulness of the drone. But none of them mentioned the drone is a DJI
@@rapid13 There is indeed something in this DJI model. The drone has the infrared sensor. During the interview, they keep asking the drone operator about the characteristics of the drone but never ask the brand or the model.
It is hard to overstate the value you and your channel bring to the drone community! Thank you for this, Russ! Looking forward to your follow-up video.
I hope they win, because all the bullshit with our government and DJI is embarrassing. I'm serious, our government should be embarrass, and if they win I hope they put into the lawsuit to get rid of all those people that are against DJI. Thanks for sharing. 👍👍👍
Oh no shots fired 😮 to be fair they have been patient longer then I would have expected. Hopefully this bring out to light what has been going including Skydio involvement 🙂
This ban really ticks me off. I see advertisements for our major electric company using at least two DJI drone in their commercials, right now. Our police department just added DJI drones to their arsenal. Why do they use DJI? Because they know DJI is the best, most reliable. They must be on to something. I think all of these police departments, fire departments, and companies that use DJI should be flooding Congress with objections.
The proposed legislation would still ban DJI. Does not matter where it's built. It's about the company behind it. Other companies already build DJI drones outside of China and make the software here in the US and the lawmakers have stated those will be banned as well. Skydio has it out for DJI, not the factory they're made in.
I’m really interested to see how this turns out. Thank you Russ for always keeping us informed. I hope DJI wins and first responders will be able to use them again
It’s pretty sad of an American company. Can’t make that stuff too and just shows how far we are behind anyway what’s up with Langley Virginia? How are they able to fly drones there and we weren’t able to do Jack squat about it for 17 days and tell me how that couldn’t be tied to DJI and also how are they able to communicate like that? We don’t know how are they able to just do that for 17 days over one of our most secure military installations in the country.? Why was it not reported on the news until recently even though it happened back in the end of 2023
Thanks for doing the research into the factors behind this lawsuit by DJI. And I hope all the details come out in the court case, so we will finally know the truth. Great video Russ, thanks for sharing.
I wonder if this has anything to do with the import issues we are having with DJI products being held up in customs. My Air 3s has been in customs clearance since Friday.
Why doesn’t Elon Musk start a drone company Tesla drones make it better than DJI if you can get a rocket space you can make a drone better than the DJI stuff. I just want the best product. I can do my job and I don’t wanna buy products that I have to worry about somebody’s gonna take it from me or shut it off or some other drama.
Thank You for the 10 minute review. You sound very trustworthy. Living in EU the story is marginally interesting, but.... Take down the bad guy, not any other one.
The fact that DJI decided to address this head-on likely means that they are confident that they will come out on top. Our politicians on both sides have been defaming DJI for the longest. When DJI wins, I hope they file civil litigation against the politicians individually for defamation, only then they will be forced to do their homework before speaking ignorantly and uninformed!
This will test the system of justice in the USA. Looking from outside with great sympathy for DJI owners, USA hasn’t demonstrated to the outside world that it conducts itself within acceptable norms. Let’s see for the sake of fellow droners.
Thanks for the update, while it is obvious that there is a concerted effort to target DJI, I really want to see what evidence, despite all that DJI has been doing of this so called national threat. They are effecting real people and real businesses.
I love how this guy says this like china doesn’t have a large initiation to bring commercial companies including drones to be intertwined with military technology
I don't blame DJI my question is will this block all imports until the case is settled like many people I have an error 3S on order and I paid for it. What happens now??
Thank you for posting this very important video. However, unlike you, I do NOT believe, "the truth will finally come to light." That's because I believe the U.S. military will not respond to DJI's discovery requests and will stall and stall, and stall until DJI ultimately either gives up or asks the court for a judgment to be removed from the CMC. All of this will likely take several years and the damage to DJI will have already been done regardless of the ultimate outcome. I see this act against DJI as part of the U.S. drone manufacturing community attempting to drive away their chief competitor, nothing more.
Awesome vid!! I am so glad that DJI is pushing back like this. I also hope that they truly are clean and the accusations against DJI are false. They're a great company and set the standard for proper product build without allowing greed to influence them. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure making money is of course a factor goal for them. lol But I am so fed up with current big names like "Boeing" and such placing profit above safety and quality. When you place quality and professionalism above all other standards, profit just comes naturally. That's how I feel DJI has moved forward. They truly make a product that appeals to its users at an affordable price. Too bad other companies can't fathom that.
The amount of evidence free pile-on up on the hill has gotten unreal, and it's the kind of stuff I point out all the time, usually to be shushed and told to "not be so dramatic" Proving a negative is near impossible, yet they are forcing DJI to do just that. Let Elise prove that she doesn't have Skydio's hand up her back, and making her say whatever the ventriloquist wants. Prove that she didn't cause the hurricanes, prove that she didn't start a war (pick one) This WASN"T How we used to function, but conspiracy is now the answer to every question. It is exhausting.
I keep thinking this is a case of the US drone manufacturers getting their asses kicked in the free market, and will do anything to level up their game.
Especially since you make your money online, just move somewhere else. It’s a lot cheaper to live and it has a higher quality of life anyway in other countries.

Look, is the ambiguity on the U.S.’s part kinda sucky? Yes, yes it is. However, just like with TikTok which is controlled by the Chinese government, DJI is probably already under the thumb of the PRC’s government. Why DJI beat the US government at its own game, just build a factory here in the US and build and sell drones for the country
I read where DJI discussed building a factory here but it would significantly raise the costs of their drones.
DJI drones are significantly less expensive than any USA built drones. An increase in prices would be tolerable
The difference in tariffs saved would pay for the factory after a few million drones
@@red32303The problem is US drones are very expensive. Increasing the price of DJI products would hurt the US consumers.
