I was from gorton leesy my nickname me and the lads david pirie Neil Herbert janek stzala and his brother Karl all had a laugh at belle vue and speedway there growing up in Gorton was funny😅

Ah those were the days. Early 70's piles of elephant crap and straw on fire and those heavy brass ball standpipes we had to carry because Belle Vue owners wouldn't update their fire hydrants to SV. Plenty of fires in that ageing infra structure.
