My sister got the pink one and then got me the yellow one bc she loved it so much 🤗 we both love them!!! I haven't yet figured out the best detergent to use, but I learned my lesson that it should be less than I originally thought! Thank you for a great, planet friendly, affordable, quality product 🤗
Sheets laundry alternative is my favorite. I use half a sheet for one load in my wonderwash ❤
Love you soo much bowie
This company is solid and I had one back in the early 90's. Great product and thinking about getting this new version.
I decided to order the white one because for some reason it reminded me of an egg !!
Seriously, while spending over a month repairing my old Hot Point machine, I decided to look into alternatives and this was the first machine I saw that I fell in live with.
Assembly was easy enough, and the instructions provided were adaquate
Once it came time to using it I did the equivalent of a typical load of clothes divided by two.
The first load was a few tshirts, underwear and socks., the second load was a zippered hooded sweatshirt and a pair of sweatpants.
Both of these loads seemed about right, as the capsule was about 3/4 full without really compressing too much.
As for the guide on how to use it, I definitely used more water than I should have, and probably more detergent as well, but it was still a fraction of what my Hot Point would have used.
As for times, I did I think a 3 or 4 min wash cycle, followed by a couple of 2 or 3 min rinse cycles, and everything worked as it should.
Operating was very easy, and the clothes ?? They came out GREAT !!
Afterwards I used the Niagra spin dryer for each load, so 2x total, and hung the clothes outside to dry on my newly installed clothes line.
I cannot emphasize enough how practical this little machine is, and how well it works.
Highly recommend !!
I've seen this washing machine for years now and always thought about buying one "just because and just in case". My late husband was always saying that there's coming a time when there will be a power outage that might last for awhile, so he started preparing for it two or three years ago until last year when he died. We still have a lot of the stuff he got, JUST IN CASE. This might be the thing to buy right now, just in case something bad does happen and then, I'll have it when there's a run on them and won't be able to get them, except from those who buy mass quantities of them and sell them for outrageous profits like what happened last year when the covid pandemic happened.
THANK YOU FOR DEMONSTRATING THIS!!! I've always wanted to see how it worked when I saw it in catalogues and stuff.
I love this product. I’ve had it for a couple of years now. Especially during this coronavirus it’s great washing with this unit. I also have the Laundry Alternative Nina Dryer. That thing is tremendous.
What about spinning? Can you spin? Or are they soaked
@@MrsVeee There's no spin cycle, so you have to wring out the laundry by hand, or buy a laundry spinner. I use my big salad spinner to wring out small items.
I use this to wash most of my family’s clothes in and it does save water and power . Too bad laundry alternative doesn’t have a manual spin dryer for those that want that option .. but I’m happy to have this little unit
I use a industrial mop bucket to wring out my clothes. I hope that helps you as it has me 🥰
I have one. It is fantastic, gets clothes clean. It uses little water and very little soap. It was well worth it.
I bought the original Wonder Wash along with the Mini Counter top spin dryer years ago. They both still work. That alone tells you the staying power of the products from this company. The Wonder wash is such a simple machine and it does exactly what it says it does. Gets your clothes clean fast and efficient. I recently decided to start using it again after years of having it sit. My apt complex has a small laundry with only a few machines to wash and dry and most of the time they are out of service. This little dude will do the trick in a pinch especially now with C virus all around us. It is way safer to wash this way. I might purchase another washer to try the new lid, the one I have has the screw top lid. Either way a great product. Buy yourself one, you won't regret it .
This is the most awesome little washer! I have the mint green model and have used it every other day for 4 years now. I found that letting the laundry soak overnite or for approximately 6 hours, after doing 20 spins in both directions and then draining and rinsing twice works best for me as i have very hard, high iron water. Great invention, i need one more...one, just isn't enough. Oh and it's great for washing your potatoes n fresh picked potatoes, cherries, blueberries, the possibilities are endless.
Thank you for that.
I placed my order for one of these over the weekend and received it yesterday (Wed.) Tried it out today. It is awesome! No leaks when putting on the drain pipe or cap. I would recommend it for sure.
It's a nice video. Just wanted to say, it looks like the gentleman gets very serious right at this moment. :P 1:41
On a more serious note, could you guys design a pedal-powered version? I think that would be more ergonomic. Just a thought. Thanks.
He's got 3 young kids and was trying to keep his eyes open:) Pedal power would be better for a larger floor model. The downside is creating a much larger unit, with higher product and shipping costs.
This is a great idea. Ready to try it on my remote, non-electric Fire Lookout job. Less clothes to bring up and haul up at beginning of season. No reason to go down to town now except for groceries.
Just got mine today & LOVE it!
Great product! It takes forever to fill up but its great for delicates
I've been enjoying my Wonderwash for 10 years now. It's been particularly helpful during the pandemic as I live in an apartment building.
The connecting part of the drain tube just came off. Do I glue it? Just wondering how to fix it and where the rubber band goes. Thanks!
Going to purchase this when I live off grid
incredible product! Did not know about this!
Neat little machine
Just bought my second one.
my God
I noticed that the demonstration person only turns it one direction. I have read other responses that said they spin it one direction then crank it in the opposite direction. Would it wash any better by cranking it in one direction then reverse the cranking direction? I personally don't think it would make a difference but maybe it would that I'm not thinking of. So, would it make a difference?
Would this be effective at washing cloth diapers + inserts?
Also works good to make a lot of Kool-Aid
Soon to be the appliance choice of cult leaders far and wide.
But it’s not quite as effective in washing clothes like the good ol river and and a few good rocks to beat on. Am I right, Lazy? So tell me, what rocks would you recommend?
LOL!
Can you wash bed linen and bath towels in these?
I would also like to know this very question
just a question how do you spin the clothing for they are not soaked ?
That water wouldn't be going down the drain! We wash ours in a bucket using rainwater. Rainwater is so much better as no chalk in it and it's free, we use rainwater for everything.
This looks good but cant find anyone selling it in the UK
mine is leaking from the bottom without the nozzle on, I can't find how to fix it.
I'd turn it a cpl of turns one way and if possible turn it the other way maybe. Better agitation maybe lol.
if you wash socks, they will come out very white, with bleach and hot water in the wonder wash!
Can you use this to wash shoes? I have a pair of shoes that are machine washable, and I’m curious if this washer would work for shoes
I have been thinking about purchasing one to use to felt down my hand crocheted wool bowls in... I wonder if if would do the job as needs much agitation for the felting process.
Have you tried it? I was thinking of felting some baby booties.
The instructions that came with mine said to add the soap & water BEFORE adding the laundry.
You may add excessive amount of water if you add it first, i guess. The water will overflow when you add the clothes...
When they say use hot water, what temperature exactly?
How’s the spin/draining process? Does it have a feature for draining them before stuffing them in the dryer?
@The Jucx just drains water ... for spinning/wringing you're on your own.
Please help...,my lid wont attach
how do I get a replacement drain? mine is lost....
like the washer BUT cant get lid off when finished. I turn it so it is in the unlocked position turn, lift lever but LID WONT COME OFF like it does in video.. its been unlocked since yesterday and still wont release... can anyone help please and thanks
Why not with electric drill?or some kind of adapter
It's been discussed and could be done. It's so easy and fast to turn we haven't focused on this area much, though. We've spent more time focusing on the biggest problem areas, such as the old lid that was really cumbersome to screw on and off.
got 2 ,the handle breaks, other than that it works good
Email us and we'll get you a new one for free.
What about the spin cycle to take out excess water 🤣
Would it fit a bed sheet to clean?
Yes.
@@ctournet yay! That’s good to know. Just bought one earlier tonight. :) can’t wait for it to arrive!
Does lever move in reverse direction?
It moves freely in both directions.
@@OofusTwillip Thank you Patte. I bought one! 😀
Wouldn't a bucket and and a plunger do just as well? I mean, can it do even a single pair of pants?. Most dainty's can just be handwashed , rinsed, and twist-rung in the sink.
Hey, whatever floats your boat. You can churn your own butter, grind your own flour, smelt your own metals, and distill your own alcohol. Go for it!
The company should also make it available in India on Amazon
It can do queen size sheets. Can prob do 4 pairs of pants ...
Some people choose this approach, it's a little cheaper but more work. The Wonderwash costs much more to produce than a simple bucket, it looks simple but there are many tedious assembly processes, tiny parts that need to be assembled, little screws etc. and more.
@@ctournet Is there a way to create a rollers system similar to the old fashion wringer washing machines that the clothes were fed through two rolers to squeeze the water out.
Can I do a bleach load in this ?
Why not have a bicycle pedal instead of a hand crank?
Because it's a lot more complicated and expensive.
Can you spin the excess water out of the clothes too?
NO, you have to buy a ringer attachment for a tub OR their dedicated spinner.
We've spent some time on this but don't yet have a solution. Quite a few other companies have worked on non-electric spin dryers as well, but with limited results. There are a lot of issues with vibration, which limits the real/effective RPMs you can attain.
$200 for some plasic thats gonna break someday.. I'd rather find an old glass washboard at a yard sale for $10-$20
ligaria cemento ahi.
🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪🦾🦾🦾🦾🦾🦾🦾
Mejor la conecto la conecto a un equipo de pesas. Es una alternativa en lugares remotos sin electricidad 🚫🔌✔
Will it take "nicotine stains" from my drawers ? 😂
Poor customer service on this product.
To Inventor of Wonder Wash: Please have a mini version! It will be perfect for apartment with shared laundry to do some lingerie in a mini Wonder Wash and do the rest in shared washer
This is perfect for an apartment.
Comes apart easily for storing
U won't regret it
I clean every thing right down to my jeans
It's the perfect size and all you need is a table spoon or 2 of detergent
Only down fall is draining speed. That takes the longest
All of these people replying seem super suspicious. A product like this never gets only 100% great and awesome reviews. *however* the reviews on amazon which seem to be less soulless than the ones here still seem to claim it is actually a good product. Only major problem I've seen from reviews is that it *is* made of flimsy plastic and if you're unlucky enough to get a (commonly) defective product, you'll only last a few uses before it just breaks.
