#jhope just proven AGAIN his WIDE RANGE & how he is the most VERSATILE! Now his vocals shine! His pen is always on fire. His style in music is always on point but super clean! His discography is sublime! Nothing is the same yet speaks loudly who j-hope is! HE IS VERY RARE! Language should never be a barrier when it comes to music! This is truly a masterpiece of an album! Growth for his fans means he has mastered a craft and he keeps on evolving. j-hope is harmonising with jk too in the pre-chorus. As always he wrote his songs.
Haven't been able to stop listening to i wonder for a couple of days now....always loved j.hope's and j.cole's song, think it should have been nominated for a grammy...but I absolutely LOVE I wonder....don't tire of this, like I don't ever get tired of Seven..
I'm loving Hobi's singing on this album, so mellow compared to the rawness of JITB, but yeah, wish Wonder was twice as long, it's so good😢. On the Street still makes me emotional, being his "goodbye" song, there's just sthing nostalgic? in the music, I can't really explain, but it tugs on my heart (esp being a Hobi bias 🥰, but we haven't got too long to go 😊). Nile Rodgers is legendary! Producer & with that instantly recognisable guitar sound- he was behind Chic & that whole disco sound (now don't make me feel old Landon! 😂). Looking forward to your pt 2 💜
Hobi's and Niles full circle moment... I am a total geek for stuff like this but I connected a dot and have to share... Nile Rodgers who is on Jhope's "Hope On The Street" album wrote the song "Good Times" (with his former group CHIC) back in the late 70's. "Good Times" was sampled by the SugarHill Gang on their song "Rappers Delight" .... "Rappers Delight" is the song that made the phrase "HiP HoP" universal (folks in NY were already using it). Hobi discovers hip hop and the rest is history.... I think Hobi working with Niles is somewhat of a full circle moment for him....(or maybe just for me 🤭!!!)💜(Ok, Thank you for letting me have my geek moment!)
I love Hope on the street album and docuseries. Every song on the album is so good. There are literally no skips. My favorites songs are Lock/ Unlock, I don't know and Neuron. Hobi's vocals are amazing. The Neuron MV is an artist masterpiece.
No shame about not knowing Nile Rodgers til now. We're all learning! I'm in my 50s so I know him from Chic, but he's also a frequent collaborator with my ult-biases, Duran Duran. 😊
